This place used to be the place where everyone wanted to stay. I guess this was in the 1980's and 1990's. 25 years has not been kind to this place. Our room was 49 degrees when we walked in. The room was stark and very cold. There was grafitti on the wall paper, the carpet was crusty and stained and... More

We recently visited the restaurant portion of the Inn and was pleasantly surprised to find a familiar face in Chef Hussein. The food was great as all of Chef Hussein's menu. We had breakfast after Church on a Sunday morning and all of the food was prepared to our delight. The total bill for my wife and I was only... More

My boyfriend had been to this restaurant years ago, and thought of it. I must say, I have been to many restaurants in Fresno and surrounding towns, but this one is the worst. Our food was very expensive. My boyfriend's beef selection was beyond well done, despite he asked for medium term, and swimming in sauce. My lobster diablo was... More

As usual, people get desperate for lodging about WAE time. I had read the reviews and heard the place needed work. But unfortunately the experience was worse than expected. Unpacked, turned on TV (about a 20 minute ordeal), don't expect a flat screen, much less a decent Directv package. Heater was set to 88; later realized it was set about... More

Hi, We are extremely sorry about the inconvenience caused by the short term closure of the property. The hotel is now open under new ownership and we would like for you to come back and join us at the new Irwin Street Inn and Restaurant, the best bed and breakfast in town. Have a good day. More

The thing to remember first off is this is NOT a B&B, it's just a hotel in a vintage building. Nice looking on the outside, but once you step in, there the issues start. The greeting upon check in was lacking and the process was utilitarian: get the money and give a key. No numbers on the key so after... More

We had dinner and stayed in the hotel Dec. 2011, dinner with the kids now adults was 1/2 hour of waiting then another hour before we all 6 had our order, the service was disconnected and forgetful, even though we had the place to ourselves, one of our party became ill on his food. Then we were shown our room... More

The first room we we're given had mold growing on the tiles in the shower. The second room we were given was no improvement. The room smelt musty and the entire room was filthy. It didn't look like any one had cleaned it in a very long time because there was dust on everything. The comforter was old and crusty.... More

Liz Taylor said it best (ala "quoting" Bette Davis, in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf): WHAT a DUMP! We arrived in the afternoon in 107 degree heat and the first thing the asst. manager said was, "Oh, I guess I should have turned the air conditioning on for you". When we got to our room we found that it was... More

Rooms dirty. No AC in two rooms. Had to move to a third room. No T V. No Internet working (owner claimed it worked but three of us couldn't get on). No telephone. “I had 324, it is right above the bar. Not an issue for me.... But, it is an old place, and if there are people in the bar, you can hear them. Sleep quality was poor, but that was due to trains laying on their horns all the way through Hanford. Nothing the Hotel can do about that....every two hours, another freaking train horn.....”
