What a find! I can't express how much I loved stumbling upon this perfect little inn. The owners are such kind people. Oh and there's an absolutely breathtaking garden out back! A must stay choice for Half Moon Bay
This place was awesome overall! Such nice management, very clean and comfortable facilities, and amazing decor and ambiance. If you are looking for the perfect getaway, or a nice night's sleep after a beach day look no further! 10 out of 10 would recommend! Thanks again!
My partner and I decided to stay here on a whim - booked same week for a quick overnight stay. David, the owner, was a lovely host for a number of reasons. He was informative, hospitable, and simply kind. He was very attentive and sociable but also knows when to give people their space and privacy - we thoroughly enjoyed getting to know him. He hosted a small wine/cheese hour that evening (to which my partner says - the wine was AMAZING), provided us a bunch of dinner recommendations, and actually sat with us and some other guests for awhile during wine hour. He makes a mean poached egg as well - in the AM, he provides a legitimate breakfast for guests (no sad pastries and fruit slices here). We stayed in the Siasconset room and it was lovely. My partner felt the bed was a bit creaky but I sleep like a brick so I personally didn't mind. The room was cozy and small, charming and well lit. The bathroom in the room was newly renovated, and the shower with skylight was quite nice. There's a small window that you can hear the outdoor fountain from. Also, a TV and fan are in the room. Not necessarily a bad thing, but something to note is that the bathroom is in the room and the walls are quite thin, so wouldn't advise staying with someone you aren't 100% comfortable with if you catch my drift. The inn itself is an old Victorian that David renovated - he did a wonderful job. It's modern and chic while still maintaining the charm of Victorians. There's also an outdoor garden/fireplace in the back of the inn for guests to use. Location-wise, great spot! We walked downtown for dinner and had we stayed longer, probably would've headed that way again in the AM for breakfast or coffee. The inn is only ~2 blocks from the downtown area. Inn also some allocated parking spots on site. Well-located within the whole of HMB as well. Though a short stay, my partner and I really enjoyed our time here. We'll be back next time we stay in HMB!…
We enjoyed our stay at this inn. It’s very nicely decorated and comfortable. We stayed in the Great Point room on the second floor. The room is large as is the bathroom. The bed is huge and very comfortable. We were the only guests at the time, so it was very quiet. David, the proprietor was very friendly, and made two very delicious breakfasts while we were there. The inn is located a few blocks away from the center of town, but not too far to walk, and not much traffic. We highly recommend staying here.
This place was great! We loved it , the decor is chic and comfy at the same time. We found it as we were on a road trip between Big Sur and SF and couldn’t find a place we liked in Santa Cruz so we drove north and it’s right on the historic Main Street. The house has a lot of charm and the host as well was super nice and breakfast was amazing so there was nothing not to enjoy as we slept really well too. Would return. Also we loved the Italian food at “Its Italia” right down the street in walking distance.
