Beautiful suite with views of the bay. Great facilities. Spa was closed unfortunately and adjoining shopping mall had just a couple of shops. We loved the Peruvian restaurant nearby. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast diner was good too.
My friends and I came to this hotel for a beautiful wedding venue recently. The property itself is huge with spacious parking space for guests. The rooms that we stayed in are a bit out dated but it also gave a bit of the titanic washed to shore feel. The staff are all super nice and tentative, will go above and beyond to cater to our requests. My overall experience was superb, would come back just for a quick staycation not too far from the city!
We stayed in a king suite. I was very impressed with the size of the room as well as the view of the ocean. I liked that it had a fire place. There was also a mini fridge but no microwave. The bed was comfortable and large. There was a good barrier from sounds from outside but we were disturbed by noise in the hallway as well as foot steps from upstairs. I would recommend trying to get a room on the top floor if possible and maybe bringing sleep plugs. We also liked that the room had a balcony. The staff was nice and the lobby and parking were good.
Hotel is dated. While clean, the bedding needs to be updated, the pillows are all hard, there’s no TV Channel Guide, the remote controls for the TV’s are cheap an slow, the bathroom and living area of the room are separated by an interior shuttered window above the tub that does nothing to diminish the sound of anyone using the toilet. The two chairs on the porch are made of cheap plastic resin. For $420 per night, you expect a few steps up from what is being presented here.
We stayed here for my sisters wedding, so we were able to stay in the villa! What a spectacular experience! I literally can’t describe the overall experience we had, as the entire staff ensured my sisters special day went off without a hitch! Highly recommend for weddings, events, or just a regular vacation. My daughter and I had a wonderful time! (Correction we stayed in Oct. 2017)
Our daughter got married at the Oceano last week. Nancy, the wedding coordinator, did a fantastic job guiding us through the process, especially since the wedding was cancelled May 2020 due to Covid. Nancy was so kind and comforting during the proceeding year and a half until last week. She took the stress out of the planning and the actual wedding day. She referred us to the best vendors that made the day a breeze. Nancy was our wedding Angel and is now a lifelong friend. We couldn’t love her more. The hotel was amazing, comfortable and convenient to several excellent and fun restaurants and the harbor. The food at the wedding was awesome…fresh and perfectly cooked. The best filet and salmon I’ve had. The bar and restaurant were convenient and the food was great. Maria was a rockstar handling all of us and our orders. Always with a smile. Housekeeping and the front desk staff were great and very accommodating. A special shout out to Andrew, KayCee and Keetan (sp?) for making our stay there wonderful. This is a beautiful place for a wedding, a small gathering or a weekend couples getaway. We will return many times in the future. Guaranteed.…
Stayed at the hotel for a wedding celebration. The front desk staff went over and above with their customer service. Enjoyed the ambience of the hotel and also the rooms were more than satisfactory. Very clean and had all the in room amenities we needed - lighted portable make up mirror (lol), quality iron, ironing board, ample closet space, large bathroom, etc.
We had a suite on the 3rd floor, and room was nice, with large bathroom, two tv, sofa chair, frig. Had a gas fireplace but no remote so we could not turn it on (and we were too lazy to go to front desk). Nice fitness room as well. There is no pool - beach is nearby but not that close. Note that you will NOT hear the ocean waves from your room, the harbor and breakwater is there. So you will hear traffic, not waves. What you will hear is a foghorn all night - they do provide ear plugs if you can sleep with them in. Oh, and you'll need to have an eye covering as well (available at front desk) as the upper window has no shade or curtain.
This is a gorgeous hotel with beach chic decor. We loved the location, a very easy walk to many restaurants and bars in the Princeton area. Since we don't know what this hotel was like prior to COVID, we can only judge what it offers now. Our deluxe room was beautifully decorated and had a king bed, fireplace, and kitchenette and living area. The bathroom was very large with a walk-in shower and separate tub. A noise machine was provided for sleeping and we brought our own eyeshades. We enjoyed the many walking paths in the area to explore and walk off calories before the next meal. Underground parking was very easy and there was plenty of room. A few things to note: the wifi in the hotel (not the inn/villas) is very weak; the on-property restaurant/bar is only open on the weekends; deluxe rooms on the 3rd floor have high ceilings with upper windows that are uncovered so the room will not get completely dark.…
We’ve never written a review with a window covering dilemma. As we climbed into bed and turned off the lights, the room didn’t become dark. As we sat up we saw that the large upper front window didn’t have a covering, so the harbor and business lights shined into the room. Too bad we didn’t notice there absence earlier. Yes, at this point, we could have called the front desk and ask them to cover the window or move us to another room. At 11pm, packing and moving didn’t seem like a fun experience. No matter how much we liked or disliked other features of the room and our visit, being assigned to a room without regard for our sleeping comfort, left a real sour taste for the owner and management. Talking to the Manager, two days later, added more sour to our stay. He told us all upper floor rooms with high ceilings and large windows, didn’t come with window coverings. Yes, they would have moved us or provided eye masks, if they had them. He didn’t believe they had any obligation to provide a dark room for sleeping or warn us the room ($330) didn’t come with a covering for all windows. He told me he would discuss with his staff and let me know about compensation. Four days later, he hasn’t called. Too bad we didn’t read reviews before our visit, as we are not the first to have poor sleep here because of no window covering.…
