We had stayed in the Blue Iris cottage 10 years ago, and reserved the cottage again. When we arrived there was a problem with the blinds in the cottage so we were upgraded to the Black Chanterelle. Wow! What an amazing place with Russian-influenced architecture. It was bigger than the Blue Iris and had a wood stove, a Jacuzzi tub,... More

We have been going to St. Orres for years and always stay in Sea Pines and take our dog. It is a lovely, serene place to enjoy being with the ones you love. They offer outdoor seating so we were able to have a wonderful glass of wine and appetizers and include our dog. The breakfasts are delivered to your... More

My girlfriend and I drove up hwy 1 this past weekend to meet my parents for their 35th wedding celebration at St.Orres. We had a fabulous time. We stayed in one of the front rooms of the main lodge. The room had a balcony shared with the occupants of the other front room. It was extremely quiet and relaxing. We... More

Originally we were booked in for two days as part of a tour of the coast but finally stayed for five. We just didn't want to move. The hotel and cabins are just wonderful. A unique architectural experience plus great, friendly service. Highly recommended.

I was so excited to be returning to St Orres since our last visit a few years ago. We had stayed at the Tree House and loved it. This time we thought we would try the Pine Haven cottage. I wish I could give a glowing report but this place was so full of HUGE cobwebs. Cobwebs with lots of... More

St. Orres is one of our very favorite places to visit! The 14 acre property is situated on the rugged Northern California coast in Gualala (north of Sea Ranch) on a sloping green hill overlooking the ocean. It is dotted with redwoods and various lovely handmade cabins. The hotel/restaurant is made of gorgeous woods, stained glass and onion domes --... More

We just stayed in a cottage at St. Orres for the first time, and we loved every minute of it! It is charming and cosy and the staff cares for you as if they were your old friends. The beds are so deliciously comfortable, and the cottage was equipped with everything we would ever need. The breakfast was delivered to... More

Highly recommend a stop here if you are in the area. St Orres has a main building where the regular hotel rooms are and several cottages scattered around a small area each of which is different. We stayed in Rose Cottage which had a small decking with sea view, fireplace in the living room, a small kitchenette and an extremely... More

St. Ores has cottages, cabins and a main hotel. We had a cottage. They are very pet friendly, so we brought our dog and cat. We asked them not to clean our room because we worried about the cat getting out. They agreed for us to place our towels and trash outside the door each day and they would drop... More
