The resort is very stylish and the food is terrific. Everything was perfect until we were woken up at 5:30am by the sound of running and yelling children in the unit above us; we were in Villa 9A. We were in the lower unit and the effect of kids running back and forth from one end of the upper unit to the other and slamming doors and screaming was really disturbing. Not only could we hear every word but the walls in our unit actually shook from the running and door slamming. Of course the lodge has no control over noisy guests. That said, when I explained the situation at check-out, the staff member apologized and told me that they always take the time to explain to parents about quiet time (10pm - 8am) which includes early morning and that their policy is to put families with young children on the lower levels of the villas. However, if asked, the resort will put families with young kids in the villa upper units. We were in an ADA unit to accommodate my 85 year old Dad's mobility issues, so we couldn't be on an upper level. Since the other half of our building was empty, the family should have been placed in the adjoining unit instead of directly over us. Because of Covid, the resort didn't have many guests at all so either the family or our family could have been put anywhere other than on top of each other. What prompted this review is that the management never returned my message that I left at check-out or the follow up email I sent directly to the manager. The place is great overall and probably worth the price (we paid almost $500/nt), but just check that there are no kids staying above you in the villas. At 5:30am, it sounded like there was a kindergarten playground above us. It wasn't a good way to start the day in Yosemite.

Hotel's Favorite
My partner and I stayed here 2 nights and wish we had stayed more! The hotel and grounds are incredible with great detail put in to everything. Our room was spacious and incredibly clean. The restaurant food was delicious and they catered to my allergies so I had no worries eating there which was appreciated. The s’mores and free games were also great. As part of our package we did the Wonders of Yosemite Tour, our guide, Loretta was fantastic and it was the highlight of our whole trip! We got to see some amazing places and would highly recommend Rush Creek Lodge and the tour to anyone!

The lodge is decorated modern and everything is nice and clean. The amenities in room are great - we had a room with a balcony and fire place. The food is excellent - breakfast, lunch and 2 dinners had in the restaurant and by the pool. The hiking trails off the property are nice and easy. I want to come back and bring my kids - the play structure, pool and game room is great for them. I will also have to visit the spa on the next trip.

We chose Rush Creek because it checked off a lot of boxes on our list..number one being wifi lol My husband and 11 year old daughter traveling with me. We opted for the 2 bedroom villa thinking we needed the extra space so that we could spread our wings a bit. Upon reserving our hotel on their website, I mistakenly reserved it for Evergreen their sister hotel. I immediately called Evergreen to let them know of my mistake and they cancelled it and advised me to make my reservation online again as their reservation systems aren't linked together. Upon arriving at 3:45pm, we were greeted by Ashley at the front desk and she was very friendly and informative. She totally gave me the run down of everything in regards to the resort as when you get to your room, they don't have that little binder with all the information in it. They do have Alexa in your room though lol At the time, the spa just opened up and reservations go quick. So if you're interested, you need to give them a call ASAP. She told how they have S'mores night every night which is awesome and you can get as much as you'd like. I think there's 3 fire pits to choose from. We signed up the for Bed and Breakfast package which was great. We were given vouchers for every meal. We were able to eat inside or outside which was great. No reservations needed at the time. Our first meal was dinner and Tom was our server. He was very attentive and if he didn't know the answer to a question in regards to the menu, he'd go find out and return with an answer. I have a grain allergy and that's why I mention this. Ryan and Bella were our servers the next few days and both were great as well. We did take out for one of our meals and unfortunately they missed one of our orders. So I had to wait another 15 minutes for it to be done. Note: due to Covid they are understaffed and so I totally get it. Maybe I'm too understanding, but everyone we've met that works here is so nice! Btw, we were totally blown away with the food that was on the menu and the portions. One plate can actually be shared by two people. The salad is huge! I had reserved a villa room and it was on the ground floor! We were able to park just across from it and unload our bags. We had a view of the main lodge, the dining/game lodge and the mountains. We could see one of the fire pits and a glimpse of the pool. We loved the space of the room for the 3 of us. I forgot they didn't have a microwave in the room but that didn't end up being such a deal breaker. They had a microwave in their general store/gift shop which was open til 9pm. That shop had almost everything! I wish I took a video or pictures of the items in there- Cup O Noodle, bean burritos, milk, wine, beer, chips cookies, shampoo etc... One of our food vouchers was a trail lunch pack and it's here at the general store where you'd pick up your sandwich or salad, chips and cookie/or fruit. This voucher totally came in handy when we visited Yosemite Valley and picnic'd in our car after our hike. We didn't get to try out the pool but we did experience the playground which was awesome! 3 Ziplines, a slide, life size connect 4 and checker pieces, swing and climbing structure for the little ones. What we did do was rent out the spa for 90 minutes to ourselves. This was such a treat for us as our daughter was with us and she loved the hot tub. The 90 minutes went quick but it was a nice way to wind down our last night at the resort. We were suppose to get a free gift of some sort for using the spa but I totally forgot to ask for it. Oh well.... One thing I didn't realize was how out of breath I would be walking up back to our villa after being down by the pool and dining area. We are at about 5000 feet. So if you have older adults w/ balance and respiratory issues, you might want to think about staying in a standard room vs. a villa. I saw an older adult who was trying to use her wheelchair as a walker and had difficulty getting around due to her balance deficits. Other than that, we are definitely going to be back!

The amazing staff at Rush Creek helped plan our visit. Our tour guide Lori was amazing and also told us about Hite Cove and the flowers. We had lunch at an amazing waterfall all alone. It was by far the best experience and definitely unforgettable!
