Detailed Reviews
We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite for four nights, and it was wonderful. One of the best night's sleep we've had in ages.
The accommodation is spacious and the whirlpool bath was a god send for our aching bodies, especially after some strenuous hikes in the Yosemite national park.
Blackberry is in a great rural location, well away from the large crowds, but close enough to drive to the main attractions of the National Park.
Steve, the host, is a fine friendly fellow, very knowledgable about the park, and most importantly makes you feel welcome from the moment you get there until you leave. Also, nothing is too much trouble.
Will highly recommend the Blackberry and the homemade food, especially if you want to escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life.
Enjoy the breakfasts while watching the hundreds of humming birds flying around their water trough.

Thank you for sharing such a lovely review! We're so glad to hear you had a restful and rejuvenating stay in the Honeymoon Suite—there's nothing like sinking into that whirlpool bath after a day of Yosemite adventures! Being away from the crowds while still within reach of the park’s wonders is one of the things we love most about Blackberry too. Steve will be thrilled to hear your kind words—he truly takes pride in making sure everyone feels at home and has the best possible experience here. And yes, the hummingbirds during breakfast really do add a magical touch, don’t they? We’d love to have you back whenever you’re ready for another escape from the hustle and bustle. Safe travels, and thank you for choosing to stay with us!

We recently stayed for 3 nights and could not have been more impressed by the quality of the accommodation, the perfect location and of course the warm greeting from Steve and the team.
The accommodation is of a high standard and set in beautiful grounds that have been well developed and maintained.
You are 20 minutes to the Yosemite gate entrance and to Valley Floor was in total circa 45 minutes.
There is a handy 'diner' just 2 minutes up the road that serves good quality basic food. Perfect after a day hiking.
We would definitely recommend Blackberry Inn.

Our stay at the Blackberry Inn far exceeded even my highest expectations. Steve and Alex pampered us in every way possible. The breakfasts were creative and filling, certainly carrying us through to lunch. We especially enjoyed the baked apple French toast :) What a treat! Baked cookies appeared in our room along with water bottles refreshed, and our room neatly attended to. No detail was overlooked. The pastoral setting with horses grazing in the fields and wild turkeys roaming the grounds while hummingbirds entertained us on the veranda was serene - a wonderful retreat after exploring Yosemite. We are Tesla owners and found the access for Tesla charging was convenient at this location, as was charging for any EV models. Our stay at Blackberry Inn is a highlight of our trip to Yosemite.

This was our first time visiting Yosemite National Park - We decided to go with Blackberry Inn due to the many 5* reviews on Google and Trip Advisor.
Due to travelling from LA, we arrived past check in time. Steve and Alex (owners) had emailed us with instructions on what would now happen. They had written a lovely welcome letter, left the keys in an accessible location.
The following morning, Steve greeted us with breakfast. He provided excellent knowledge and guidance on what were the best things to do in the park, how to get there and the best times to go to avoid the weekend chaos.
BlackBerry Inn is situated in a perfect location, just outside the entrance to Yosemite and around an hours drive to get to the valley. We found this was perfect as it avoided the hustle and bustle that you will find in the park and means you can take in the beautiful surroundings in a peaceful setting.
BlackBerry Inn looks brand new. The room was amazing, very spacious, clean and with lovely decor. Breakfast was different each day, and cooked to perfection - Served with orange juice and coffee. Each day fresh cookies were replenished in the room free of charge.
We can’t recommend BlackBerry Inn, Steve, Alex and The Team enough! This was a perfect trip, made so much easier as we didn’t have to worry about anything while staying there.
Thank you,
Dan & Heather

We enjoyed an excellent stay at the Blackberry Inn. The welcome from the hosts was extremely warm. The breakfast on the terrace was excellent, including fantastic, freshly prepared omelettes and quiches tailored to our tastes and dietary habits. The rooms are extremely clean and the Blackberry Inn is very quietly located in a valley. We were impressed by the hummingbirds on the beautiful terrace, which you can watch for hours. Yosemite National Park is close, so you don't have to stay overnight in the park. Very close to the Blackberry Inn there are also options for a good but inexpensive dinner away from the busy restaurants in Yosemite Park. There are also opportunities for walks nearby. For us it was a fantastic stay.

We had a wonderful two-night stay here! Host Steve was warm and welcoming. We enjoyed hearing a little bit about the history of the property (which was once owned by Ann Marie Brown, author of several of our favorite California hiking guides). The room was very comfortable, breakfasts were delicious, and the location was great for exploring Hetch Hetchy and Yosemite Valley. It was easy to charge our EV in downtown Groveland (about 8 miles from the Inn) while eating dinner. This was our first time staying in a B&B, but was such a good experience that I'm sure it will not be our last. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at Blackberry Inn. We stayed in the Briar Rose room. The room was squeaky clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the scenery was unmatched. We watched dozens of hummingbirds while eating breakfast on the beautiful porch and we saw so many stars from the lawn at night. It’s only about 20 minutes from the entrance to Yosemite. They even put fresh baked cookies in our room each day- which really came in handy when we were running low on snacks on the hiking trails in Yosemite! Steve and Alex were wonderful and welcoming hosts. We highly recommend this place.

My husband and I just spent 6 nights at The Blackberry Inn... what a treat! Everything was just excellent. Our room was very spacious and comfortable with rocking chairs on the porch, and the most delicious breakfast served every morning promptly at 8am. It was the perfect way to get us up and out to explore the wonders of Yosemite. Steve and Alex are so friendly and full of helpful information. They keep their gorgeous property (and animals!) with love and care. It is truly a serene getaway, not terribly expensive for all that it offers, and a place we hope to visit again soon.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Blackberry Inn. The room was beautiful and had everything we needed, the bed was very comfortable, and the fresh cookies every day were a lovely bonus.
Steve and Alex were very welcoming hosts. Each morning we spoke with them about our plans for the day and they gave us great advice on what to do in Yosemite, taking into account the weather forecast, hiking difficulty etc. Beach towels were kindly provided so we could enjoy a swim in Tenaya Lake.
The homecooked breakfasts were delicious, a great start to each day!
We would recommend The Blackberry Inn to anyone making the trip to Yosemite - we would certainly love to visit again.

From the moment we pulled up to The Blackberry Inn (at 9 pm) to see our porch lights on, our room lights on, the air conditioning set at a comfortable setting and the ceiling fan moving the air around, the keys waiting for us exactly were we expected them to be and a plate of fresh chocolate chips cookies wrapped in plastic wrap, I knew I stumbled upon a first class B&B. You knew the minute you met Steve and Alex that they truly enjoy what they do. They were kind, warm, friendly and just genuine people.
We began every morning with a wonderful breakfast the minute we walked out our French doors, set up on our cozy porch. And we were welcomed back home every evening with a plate yummy chocolate chip cookies. Steve is a first class host who helped us navigate the park by taking the time to talk with us about what we were interested in and what kind of experience we wanted. He offered some recommendations that we were thrilled to explore and enjoyed. He knew of every hike we had picked out and helped map up a plan for us so we didn’t waste time.
We stayed in the Bramberry room which was just lovely and comfortable with beautiful solid and unique furniture. I felt that the accommodations were brand new with antique cozy decor. As we looked around the room you can see they take pride with great attention to detail. It was clean, fresh and delightful. Truly a very peaceful stay, a great way to unwind after a long day hiking and exploring. We had to leave at 6 am on our last day and would miss breakfast. Steve wouldn’t have it, so he made sure the coffee pot was setup and turned on for us. He packed us a to go breakfast including to go cups for our coffee. Truly a 5 star experience!

Yosemite National Park is the size of the state of Rhode Island and there are three groves of giant sequoias in The Park. The Blackberry Inn is located 20 minutes from the Merced Grove, 30 minutes from The Tuolumne Grove and 1.5 hours from the Mariposa Grove.
The Blackberry Inn is 12 miles from the Park gate which takes about 13- 15 minutes. From the gate, it takes an additional 30-45 minutes to get to the Yosemite Valley floor depending on traffic.
