What a terrific historic hotel. We stayed in the violet room. While the room is small, it's very comfy. The bed was super comfortable, the air conditioner worked well. One of the owners, Finn, is super friendly and very caring. He tried to get the TV fixed in our room but wasn't able to do it. We didn't really care but others might be more interested in that. There's no breakfast but they do have microwave and toasters for people to use in the lobby along with tea and coffee. The shower was a bit tricky with getting hot water but worked OK overall. They have a very relaxing outdoor area in the back to enjoy. The restaurant wasn't yet open but they said it will be soon. This is a perfect location to walk around town and an easy drive to get to Hetch Hetchy for a wonderful hike to Wapama Falls. We had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend it to others. We will definitely stay here again when we're in Groveland.

This place is absolutely fantastic. The owners take such good care of the property and are conscious of your comfort during your stay. The rooms are clean, the location is perfect for Yosemite and the hospitality is top-notch. Claw foot tubs in some rooms, television, comfortable and clean beds and rooms where you feel good getting into them to sleep. Coffee maker downstairs that is always filled with water and coffee, teas, doors that don’t slam! It’s like they thought of every little nuisance that makes traveling frustrating and removed it. Lovely outdoor seating area out back, easy and free parking and a restaurant that I didn’t get to try but is beautiful just looking at! This is the future of travel lodging, truly. Hotels are dead, places like this are the future.

The hotel exceeded my expectations. I was greeted by one of the owners, provided some valuable local recommendations and history, and checked into my room within minutes upon arrival. The room itself had basically an entirely brand new bathroom and was immaculate. Though the room was smallish in size, it was more than adequate and provided me with a very comfortable night's sleep in a great bed. Additionally, the downstairs of the hotel with restaurant/bar and front room were unique and historical, with a great ambiance. There was an outdoor seating area out back which looks ready to be enjoyed in a post-COVID landscape. I highly recommend Hotel Charlotte and will stay there again next time I'm headed into the park.

We had a lovely time during our two night stay. The staff was friendly, funny and accommodating. Additionally this stay was like hanging out at someone’s home. The character alone made it feel unique and welcoming. We loved sitting on the balcony and relaxing at the end of a long, hot day in Yosemite. This was a little gem in our many travels staying in regular hotel rooms. Such a fantastic experience with the surrounding businesses also. We just thoroughly enjoyed that little community. We will be booking there again if the chance arises.
