We chose the Evergreen Lodge just outside the west entrance to Yosemite for a recent celebratory family trip, including my husband, myself and three young children (1, 5, 8 yrs.). Rarely is a place just as nice as it is portrayed in the pictures and...More
The Evergreen Inn is close to Yosemite and really close to Hetch Hetchy. It is family friendly with a salt water pool and a lot of play equipment for children, including an adult-friendly zip line. The restaurant is excellent and the young staff is enthusiastic....More
We went on a road trip to Northern Ca to visit college campuses as well as enjoying a mini vacation. Our first stop was Yosemite. We rode from one end of the park (on the So Cal side) to the other end where upon exiting...More
We stayed at Evergreen in May 2014. I was really looking forward to staying here with my husband and two teens. Based on the price we paid for a two-bedroom cabin and our experience there, I can't give this place 4 or 5 stars. The...More

This is Megan from the Evergreen Lodge jumping in to answer your question. We start to experience colder weather starting in November with occasional rain storms. Towards late December, we begin to experience temperatures as cold as 28 degrees Fahrenheit with possible snow. At our elevation, we tend to experience just a few inches of snow which our team is prompt to clear in order to make all walkways and drives accessible for our guests. We highly encourage all guests visiting us to bring tire chains for their cars, as most roads in the area often have chain restrictions in place.
But with all this in mind, winter is a special time in our area with many things to see and do. If you have any more additional questions feel free to reach out to our Recreation team-- you can find their contact information on our website under the explore tab.

This is Megan from the Evergreen Lodge. We were fortunate enough not to be affected by the most recent fire, it was located closest to the Hwy 140 entrance of Yosemite. However we were affected by the 2013 Rim Fire, so as you make your way to us you may see remnants of our area recovering from that fire. Our area is recovering fast, and ultimately this shouldn't negatively impact your stay with us.
Feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions,
