We were recommended by friends to stay at Evergreen Lodge. It really surpassed all expectations. Accommodation is clean and basic. The overall grounds (perfect for kids to wander around), food, bar and service were 5 stars. I have to say that the food we had...More
While not far from Yosemite Valley, Evergreen Lodge is a destination that stands on its own. Celebrating our anniversary, we stayed for 3 nights and loved every moment. The customer-service at The Lodge is 5-star, they seemed to have thought of everything to make this...More
We really loved this experience - our cabin in the Cedar area at first appeared very plain but we absolutely loved the spaciousness, comfortable non-fussy furnishings, quiet, view from little private deck, location near the pool, and the wonderful gas stove that provided both ambiance...More
We booked a cabin for a few nights based on reviews without realizing how remote the location really was. Our bad. Be prepared for a 7-mile-long arduous and rough ride from the turnoff at Highway 120. Upon arrival, the check-in experience was very pleasant and...More
We stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. The cabins are basic, but very comfortable. We ate in the tavern every night (same menu as the restaurant) and the food was delicious. So many options that you would not expect from a lodge in...More

This is Megan from the Evergreen Lodge jumping in to answer your question. We start to experience colder weather starting in November with occasional rain storms. Towards late December, we begin to experience temperatures as cold as 28 degrees Fahrenheit with possible snow. At our elevation, we tend to experience just a few inches of snow which our team is prompt to clear in order to make all walkways and drives accessible for our guests. We highly encourage all guests visiting us to bring tire chains for their cars, as most roads in the area often have chain restrictions in place.
But with all this in mind, winter is a special time in our area with many things to see and do. If you have any more additional questions feel free to reach out to our Recreation team-- you can find their contact information on our website under the explore tab.

This is Megan from the Evergreen Lodge. We were fortunate enough not to be affected by the most recent fire, it was located closest to the Hwy 140 entrance of Yosemite. However we were affected by the 2013 Rim Fire, so as you make your way to us you may see remnants of our area recovering from that fire. Our area is recovering fast, and ultimately this shouldn't negatively impact your stay with us.
Feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions,
