During my last trip to Groveland I stayed here for a few nights. Very clean, very quiet, exceptionally friendly staff. Prices area reasonable and there is plenty of FREE parking for guests. The only drawback is there is a short walk from your room to the parking area - no big

Thank you, Dania, for taking the time to submit your review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and our accommodating staff. For our guests who need the closest proximity to their rooms, there is a drop-off area on the side of our main building & a zoned handicapped parking spot. We are conveniently located on Hwy. 120 in the quaint, gold rush town of Groveland within walking distance to local eateries & other businesses. Our historic hotel was renovated a little more than a year ago in keeping with the "Old West" vibe. There is a beautiful garden courtyard behind the hotel for guests to relax & unwind. We hope you can stay with us again.

The hotel is easy to find and looks quite historic. It’s been beautifully renovated. Our room was warm, the bed was very comfortable, the overbed lighting was perfect for reading. The water in the shower was hot. The gas fireplace was a treat. There is a courtyard in the back

Booked for 4 nights in February. Was a very quaint hotel. Lovely decor. Strange registration through a small shop we never saw anyone in. The room was a good size, Astoria Suite, but was quite cool. Lady at reception offered us extra blankets straight up before we even got into

Dear IanFursie358, Thank you for taking the time to write about your stay with us. It was a pleasure hosting you! I’d love to take a moment to address some of the items you mentioned. Yes, unfortunately, your stay happened to be during a huge and unusual snow storm. Due to the heavy winds and amount of snow, the town did lose power for about 8 hours. We do not currently have a generator at the Groveland Hotel, but we do have one at the Hotel Charlotte (our sister property), so we did move our front desk operations to the Hotel Charlotte (just across the street) for the morning. I’m sorry for the inconvenience. We agree with you that the set-up of our store and bar area was not quite ideal, so we have in fact changed things around since your stay to improve the flow and guest experience. As you mentioned, our hotel has some amazing charm and history, but due to that history, there are some small quirks about the hotel. One of those is the heating/cooling system in the Adobe building. There are not individual controls in the rooms and sometimes it does seem that our resident ghost, Lyle, seems to play tricks with heating and cooling the rooms. The winter is an amazing time to visit Yosemite – the crowds are minimal and the waterfalls are flowing! While you get these amazing benefits of it being the off-season, the town does get sleepy in the winter. It is a wonderful opportunity to relax, disconnect from the hustle and bustle of life and reconnect with nature. If you’re looking for more options for non-nature entertainment, restaurants, etc., then it would be best to come to Groveland during the busier season when there are live music events, more dining options, etc. All in all, I’m glad you did enjoy your trip and we would love to have you back to show the updates we’ve made and maybe you’ll come on a Thursday in summer when we have live music on our beautiful tiered patio. Safe travels, Jenn Edwards Owner

We arrived in California with a single hotel booked in San Fransisco, a car rental and a schedule which would be determined on where we were each day. We wanted to visit Yosemite and Groveland appeared to be the perfect location. Without a shadow of doubt the Groveland Hotel was

Thank you. We are so glad you found us and had a fun stay. We are thrilled you were comfortable in your room and we gave you some good "local insight" to the best parts of Yosemite. We love to share our experience of living in this gorgeous place.

We stayed here as a family and got a room with bunk queen beds which was far better for our teenage daughter than the usual put you up beds. They have a small bar on site as well as a provisions store both of which were quaint. The staff were brilliant and couldn’t have been

Dear Cobbonda, I'm so glad that you enjoyed your stay so much! I love our "adult" queen bunk beds - a little throw back to childhood. They were custom made with reclaimed wood, are beautiful and very sturdy. We truly pride ourselves on our service and am happy that the staff was so helpful. Safe travels,

Hi, how far is the hotel from glacier point and tunnel view?
Hi. It was a 30 minute drive. Only 20 miles however your driving up mountains and need to drive slower to be safe. It’s a beautiful drive. We drove that 3 days in a row. Enjoy The hotel was amazing. The Majestic hotel was gorgeous. That’s were we ate. However the its a bit run down. Needs some updating. Our hotel at The Groveland was well worth the drive and all new everything!
