Stayed here 3 nights. Room was very pleasant but a bit expensive (but everything in the Yosemite area is expensive this time of the year). Breakfast was fine - eggs/cheese plus meats, cereals, fruit, yogurt, etc. The restaurant is no longer open for dinner. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, contrary to the website, there is not any computer... More

We visited in March on our way to Yosemite and we usually stay in the park but this time we decided to stop in Groveland. I had seen this town on a travel show and it looked so cute. It is a cute little town and the hotel is very historic but in desperate need of a makeover and a... More

This hotel has obviously been going downhill for a long time now. The room was not decorated at all like it was depicted on their website! The canopies over the beds are gone and the matching drapes have been replaced with cheap Pottery Barn panels. The paint was chipped on the walls, the paint was peeling off the windows, the... More

Dear Marie, Thank you for staying at the Groveland Hotel! We are sorry you didn't enjoy your stay with us. When I was informed you were not happy, you had already left and I couldn't talk to you about your stay. We offered you a 10% discount and you thought that was a joke. My staff was led to believe... My childhood friend and her husband along with my husband and I chose to visit Yosemite. There wasn't anything available in the park so my friends husbands found this quaint place on line. My friend has a lung issue and he told the Hotel this when we were booking the two rooms there. We got the room upstairs as she... More

We spent a night here and enjoyed our visit. We were last minute and unable to stay in the park but this place was not too far. It is old but adequate for our needs which was 2 beds. It is not spacious but has lots of character. The breakfast is included and yummy. We were pleased that it was... More

I got bitten by bed bugs all over my arms, neck and back. I have to cancel my trip and back to home. And I found bed bugs on my carrier and had to call professional service to kill these bugs and had to throw away hundreds of dollars. I emailed them not to rent the room #6 where I... More

Hi, First thank you for staying with us at the Groveland Hotel! We took your email seriously and had Clark Pest control come out to do an inspection of room 6. Per Clark' inspection report, they could not find any sign of bed bugs or any other bugs in that room. Thank you More

When planning our trips, I love to look for places that are not your "know" hotels. I found this place online. It was so comfortable and everyone was very friendly. There was breakfast in the morning which was wonderful. Also, a nice porch off the second floor for sitting outside.

Look folks - it is not easy to admit that we made a mistake, but we got this one wrong - completely wrong. When planning a visit to the wonderful Yosemite National Park, we were suckered by the glowing reviews of this hotel in Groveland and booked to stay for 2 nights. We paid almost $500 for the privilege. This... More

My husband and I stayed at the Groveland Hotel for 3 nights in early June to visit Yosemite. It is about 45 minutes from the park, so pretty convenient. We enjoyed the down home olde thyme Golf Rush era town for its color and uniqueness. Few restaurant choices, but enough for a variety. The hotel is very old and charming... More

We recently stayed for a few days while visiting Yosemite. The hotel has a cool history and is located pretty conveniently. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was wonderful (particularly the bacon). The hotel, however, needs some TLC. You can preserve authenticity while properly maintaining and cleaning the historic property. For example, the window pane in our... More
