Awful place from the beginning at the check in lady sitting in chair stays seated she doesn’t greet or say welcome like she’s forced to be there no personality. The hotels website available room rates which were literally showing in real time and she says not available and she’s quotes higher rates that gets straightened out and the check in continued she hands over card key and off we go to see the room mind you the motel outside looks new not creepy approaching the room already showed negatives next to maids utility room and right at the top of stairs so everybody walking up to rooms you can hear . the door is filthy on outside door opens and the smell of cleaning chemicals was overpowering like cheap industrial cleaner which we got a headache from it was so strong . The bed was so soft our backs hurt next day there were spiders in the room and bed the sheets dirty the dingy white bath towels were nasty and damp really needed bleach and high temperature dry . The clientele we witnessed is shady . Next morning the loud noise of maids talking banging around in their utility room next door , We think the lady at check in knew this when she assigned us this room for us wanting the lesser rate we found and for being an one night stay on top of that at 930 and 940 am ( checkout is 11am) maids knock and try to open door we had the double lock engaged . Why are the maids entering occupied rooms before check out time without checking their list of vacated rooms . This is not to generalize but was our third awful experience with Indian owned motel proprietors . Where they all had poor reviews we saw after the fact . Overall an uncomfortable nights stay ,Never again!…
this hotel was pretty up to date. But the lady that set our room up gave us a room that was on the maintenance list so it took more time to check in which I didn't mind but, if u were extremely tired and just not having it something like that could of definitely made someone upset. Luckily I wasn't that person. But the room we did get was definitely bigger and more spacious. There is some flaws with the rooms but nothing too drastic just needs updated AC the one I had did not stay cold! The beds were pretty comfy and the room was pretty clean. They didn't let my bf check in for me I had to get out of the car and check in due to security reasons. I'm sure if your handicapped it could be different circumstances but I'm not sure I'm severe asthmatic sometimes its hard for me to do anything (you know). All in all the room was nice and its a nice place to crash.…
So after my wife booked this hotel I did my usual and came on TA to read some reviews, as per usual I started with the bad ones! I almost talked my wife into cancelling the reservation, but now that we have stayed I am very happy we never cancelled! The beds were very comfortable, the pillows while not the softest still were rather comfortable and the personal service was terrific! My family and I really enjoyed our night and will be back again next time we come to LA!
Currently here for 2 night stay and disaster from the start. Met by unsmiling/unfriendly reception, only given one room key, after checked in could not leave reception area through sliding doors because sliding door malfunctioned and sensor didnt work to open it. Receptionist swore, said it was just working then asked is we’d be able to climb over the bushes to get to room. Motel NOT hotel is split between 2 floors and 2 areas of a shared parking lot to a restaurant/hookah facility cc and across a busy alley. Do NOT recommend this place for families and dont be deceived by the photos posted they are not accurate. Please see mine posted. Lighted backdrop of bed has exposed wiring and floors are filthy and dusty everywhere. Shower doesnt drain and when asked to switch to room with a micro as stated as an ‘amenity’. Small parking stalls and room area is noisy.…
Comfortable stay. Located in a great area with walking distance to supermarket, pharmacy, food shops and op shop. We booked last minute due to a fall through with other accommodation elsewhere in LA and had rooms available. Breakfast was included, the rooms were comfortable, clean and stylish (our room was Hollywood themed). The reception staff were lovely and very accommodating! We were only meant to stay for 2 nights and head off to another location but we ended up staying for 6 nights as we felt super comfortable especially as we are young females visiting America for the first time. We did have one small problem of a guest mistakenly knocking on our door at 3am, but we alerted reception and the night guard the next day and they took appropriate and immediate action. They kept in touch with any updates and reassured us. Overall, it was an enjoyable and affordable stay! If we return to LA, we will definitely return to the Glen Capri!…
Glen Capri is a very good motel, with good food. If you stay her for 20 days you will be tired of the same food. That is the only thing that may be a minus. The other things are wonderful. Thank you! Food is very good.
My daughter and I stayed at the Glen Capri hotel when we were on vacation in the L.A. area. The hotel is nothing fancy, but the Price Is Right. It is also close to several area attractions, like Universal Studios, Warner Bros. Studios, and Griffith Park. We stayed in room 121, which was comfortable. The room was equipped with two queen beds, a nice TV, and a mini fridge. The room was clean, and fairly quiet. Because we were located right near the metal stairway going to the second level, there was a little noise from people going up and down the stairway. The hotel also included a free hot breakfast every morning. There were spots in the room that could use some paint touch-up and such, but no big deal.
My wife and I were just coming to visit.in the area of Burbank, CA. Not much to say, the overall performance along with the service rating is terrible. Reviews are important, so please find time to read through others as well. The attitude towards the customers with just simply answers is so disrespectful. I highly recommend that you pay for the upgrade and find a quality franchise and stay in that facility. It seems that some hotels like this one does far less to give their guest a great visit. Here's one example of the bad experience we've encounter with our stay (many other problems). The television would not work from the check-in to check out time. I personally had to change the cables in the back of the television. Just to turn on a TELEVISION, they gave five remotes and none of them worked for the television. Staff mention not much can we do about that!!! Again this is one of the many problems. Good luck if you stay here. PLEASE READ PAST REVIEWS BEFORE MAKING THIS HOTEL YOUR CHOICE. The young lady at the front had no idea who manage the place. I was told the owner has several locations, hopefully he's reading this post. No future interest in this hotel!!!…
We came on a business trip and we were on a budget. So we selected this hotel because of the price and location. I must say, it is nestled in a residential area (a bit odd at first) but...we were pleasantly surprised. We were a late arrival, so I called ahead of time and the gentleman waited up for us (3am). We checked in to a clean spacious rooms, view of the hills, friendly housekeepers. Our trip was great! If you are on a budget, and you need a lot of clean space to work from, we would highly recommend this inn!
The rooms are very smelly, dirty carpet. It is very noisy. The two old gus working at the reception desk should not be working the service business as they do not have the social skills to communicate with customers. I just feel sorry for them.
