Perfect "home away from home" for my daughter and I while visiting Disneyland. It was comfortable and had all the amenities a family could need.
I will definitely book here again for our next trip to LA area!

The property is nice and the rooms spacious. But there were a number of little things that didn't work well. The electronic key plate took several tries to open the door every time. The water pressure in the shower was very poor. The lamps in the sitting area and bedroom have outlets and usb ports built into the base - nice. But they don't work. My phone and e-reader both lost battery strength after being plugged in. The phone in the sitting area didn't work at all.
When I went to check out, there were no carts, so I drove to the back of the building so I could exit and enter through the back door. The key plate there didn't work at all. I walked around the building to talk to the desk clerk, who didn't seem to care. I was told that the maintenance guys would be in in a couple of hours. I propped the door open.
I don't mind the limited staff or the missing breakfast buffet (ok, I do miss it, but understand). But I do feel that things should actually work.

Had a reservation at the Hilton Garden Inn last week and upon check in, there was a sign stating that the property was closed and my reservation would be honored at the Homewood Suites a quarter mile away, which is how I ended up at the Homewood Suites in Garden Grove.
Upon check in, the gentleman said he would waive my parking like it was a benefit... I didnt expect to be charged for daily parking as due to COVID, all the hotels are slow and Disneyland was closed, my visit was for a single night business stay.
The property was pretty worn out, dirty and dated, probably from the high foot traffic of being relatively close to Disneyland. However with business so slow and Disneyland closed, you would think they would use this downtime to spruce up and clean up the property. None of the staff was wearing face masks, there was a blower in the elevator that was blowing mold, covid, stagnant moldy air and who knows what else in the elevator. The carpet was still soiled and dirty and what it really needed was to be put out of operation and steam cleaned...
Also upon checking into my room, the furniture was worn, dirty and stained. In the freezer I was welcomed with the previous occupants ice cream which showed me that the room was not properly cleaned.
What was nice was that the property itself and the room was large, the room was separated with a door but overall I did not get a sense of cleanliness and the blower in the elevator was uncalled for. I would not stay here again.

The hotel is no where near the main gate of Disney, if you research this hotel they make it sound they are near the Toy Story parking lot, when I told them all they said was they were sorry and they would cancel my reservation yeah like I could have gotten another room at last minute notice, they were willing to leave me out in the cold. They could have offered me a discount or even complimentary shuttle to Disneyland. They did nothing.
The cookware provided are too big for the stovetop which has 2 very small burners, it took over 1 1/2 hour to make spaghetti!
The refrigerator door was on the opposite side, we had to scooch into the corner in order to get into it.
There was mold in the bathroom area because there is no fan in the bathroom, it was very confounding.
They don't live up to making you feel at home, I asked for cookies one night but was told none would be made because it was the weekend.
when I got locked out of the room because the digital key wouldn't work, they made me walk all the way back to the front to get a key then when I get there she states she had reset the digital key, after I was told it couldn't be done. That happened more than twice. The advertised digital key service is really in need of an update
It was a stay that I will never look at fondly. I feel I wasted so much money especially having to use Lyft everyday to get to Disneyland.

+1
I have stayed at this hotel numerous times, but this trip proved the hotel has not been maintained and demonstrated low in quality. I currently have a complaint submitted with Hilton. The representative was very kind and concerned and I am confident Hilton will address the safety and cleanliness issues we had to maintain their high standards.

First, the description of this hotel "Maingate" for Disneyland is.not.true.at.all.
Second, I'm super disappointed because the person who identified himself as Adrian on the phone but later on stated no employee by the name of Adrian works here but I recognized Adrian in the voice of employee that name starts with an A and he stated he never spoke to me. He assured me they would pick us up at the Amtrak Anaheim but 2 days before arriving I decide to call and I'm glad I did because they don't do pickups at Amtrak! We would have been waiting all day!
Thirdly, they said they were near the Toy Story parking lot and they are far from Disneyland!
Fourthly, all they say is I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
Fifthly, we had to add more expenses to use Lyft to get to Disneyland!
We can't go anywhere else because prices are doubled because of short reservation date.
Ugh!!

My family and I were in the area for my daughter’s AAU basketball tournament and a day at Calif. Adventure. I chose this property because I am a Hilton Honors member and from previous positive experience with other Homewood Suite locations. I leaned the hard way this weekend that all Homewood Suites are not the same. Upon entry into the hotel, the lobby was clean and the check in process was smooth. However, that’s where the positives ended. Walking down the hall to the elevator I noticed how dark, dingy and stale smelling the hallway was. The carpet looked old and dirty. The elevator was slow and also had dirty carpet. We had a corner room which was a decent size. But the room was old, and the furnishings all had a variety of peeling, chips and stains. The tv in the living room didn’t work. I didn’t bother complaining because we didn’t spend much time in the room ( because it was horrible and we were busy all weekend). The black out curtains in the bedroom didn’t close all the way so there was a stream of light from the parking lot coming in the room all night.
The beds were not comfortable but not terrible.
The bathroom had peeling and stained wallpaper. A Paint chipped door, a disgusting paper thin shower curtain, and a tub that was permanently stained. I don’t understand why hotels still use shower curtains. The shower curtain did nothing to keep water from getting on the floor and I will admit I left the curtain partially open to prevent it from touching me while I was showering.
We had to request towels immediately after coming in the room the 1st night because we only had one set and there were 4 of us.
One positive was they did bring towels very quickly each day upon request.
The only other positive was the hotel provided coffee was decent. Breakfast was very mediocre.
If you are looking in the area for a hotel do not stay here. It’s not worth the money. I felt like I was staying at a Motel 6.

This was supposed to be a Christmas Disney family trip and our overall experience was horrible. As soon as we drove up it wasn’t the photos I saw online due to the fact there are two hotels on Harbor with the same name. I stayed at the ran down location near Marriott. There were homeless people staying there, only one elevator working so takes forever to go up and down, my room smelled horrible like sewer due to bad plumbing. The heater didn’t work and we were freezing, linen was stained, water wouldn’t drain in shower so dirty water on your feet, toilet plugged up easily. No housekeeping and we stayed 5 nights, when we would call front desk for towels and toilet paper it took longer than an hour and half to get it. Breakfast tasted microwaved, just horrible horrible overall I was soooo disappointed it ruined our Christmas.

I've stayed at Homewood Suites before but found this location to be lackluster. You have to flush the toilet two or three times to make sure everything disappears. The first flush does nothing. The room overall has seen better days with the wear and tear.
After the first day, I never used the elevator again because it was so slow.
Breakfast was ok, with the usual selection. Some warm items, cereal and fruit. Coffee, of course, and juice.
We asked for more towels and the front desk told us that we have to trade the used towels for the new towels. We put the used towels outside our door and they took them...without providing new towels. There must be a towel shortage at this hotel.
I hate to say it, but I don't plan to be back here soon.
