Hotel's Favorite
My sister and I stayed here during a siblings trip to Disneyland. Everything was nice and clean. Staff was friendly and we enjoyed the onsite restaurant. We used the free shuttle to get to and from the park and it was very convenient. It runs every 30 minutes and one time we just missed it, so that was a bummer but nobody's fault. Overall the hotel stay, and staff, food amenities were all what we expect from Hyatt. It was a great place to stay.

We had an excellent 6-night stay at this hotel. The staff members were both welcoming and helpful. Beds/pillows were very comfortable as well, and cleaning staff did an excellent job meeting our needs. There is shuttle access for a small fee for those wishing to go to Disneyland. However, we utilized both Ubers and taxis which were very reasonable cost wise. We loved the onsite restaurant so much that we ate there 5 times! Sadly, we did not discover the little gelato shop until our last night! I definitely recommend Hyatt Regency Orange County!

This was our third our fourth visit to this hotel. We keep coming back because the rates are affordable for families, they offer rooms with separate quarters for kids so everyone can spread out and even enjoy a little privacy at the end of the day. The proximity to the park and other dining/shopping is great, there are sufficient food choices and a Starbucks onsite (bonus!), a shuttle service to Disneyland for a reasonable fee. All of this and then there is the kind and quality service of the staff and an overall nice atmosphere for a larger hotel. This is a hotel our family relies on every time we plan to visit Disney in California. The only reason this hotel did not get an excellent rating is because the rooms and bathrooms are on the dated side, although I believe when we were there renovations had begun. I can't wait to go back to see what the improvements look like. Can't recommend this hotel enough if you're traveling with kids!

Where to start... We booked online a month or so before arriving in LA and paid in advance. We used the Trip Advisor and a number of other resources to compare this hotel with Holiday Inn (about the same distance from Disney Parks and very similarly rated). This hotel won by a slightly cheaper price and good reviews..
The check in was very efficient. We went up to our room and a the 9 year old went to the toilet and flushed it and it overflowed onto the floor. They sorted it out quite quickly by giving us another room.
The room was reasonably spacious, nice large TV, but the sheets had holes in the them and the beds are very high off the floor. The charging stations don't work well and the plugs are very loose so adaptors keep falling out.
There is no "self" laundry so the nearest place is across the road (300m away).
I tried using the app on my Samsung S10+ for the door unlocking feature, but nothing doing I couldn't get it to work.
The shuttle to Disney was great. We used it a lot and was very convenient and generally on time. The free parking was also a nice bonus as we hired a car for three days.
On the second last day there the new room's toilet overflowed and they sent up a housekeeping person to deal with it. They placed a towel on the floor to mop it up, then disinfected it, then used the SAME towel to dry it up again. Not very impressed.
They did make good by offering us a some discounts and a free ice cream for the kids, but overall the experience left a sour taste in the mouth. If they did some maintenance on the plumbing and modernised it a little it would be a stunning place. '
I can't fault the customer service. It was really awesome and they were very helpful..
Will give it another chance next time....

We came for Disneyland in January 2020 for my daughter's 3rd birthday. The rooms need a remodel, it shows in the carpets, ceilings, and furniture. I asked if Hyatt did anything special for birthdays, like balloons, snacks, gift bags, etc, and they do not (I asked the Front Desk, Guest Services, Operator, and every Hyatt employee that I came across). This Hyatt has undergone new management, so they do not offer anything of this sort anymore. We stayed at the Howard Johnson last year and they had a ton of balloons for the kids, a birthday card and a birthday snack pack for the kids. It's the little things that separate the hotels on Harbor Blvd.
We stayed in an Executive King Suite the first night because the Family Suite wasn't available, then switched to the Family Suite for the second and third night. On the day of the switch, the Family Suite wasn't ready until almost 4pm and when we wanted to shower (coming back from the Disneyland), the hot water was out for more than an hour. Apparently Engineering was working on it, but I felt this was not okay when we were paying for the most expensive room in the hotel.
On the plus side, you can buy Disneyland tickets in the hotel lobby and they do have a direct shuttle that goes to and from Disneyland every half hour. Adult tickets are $6 and kids ages 4-10 are $3. It really should be a free shuttle considering you're staying at a Hyatt REGENCY, which is supposed to be a higher level/brand of the Hyatt's.
When I checked out, I was charged for an extra night of parking. Good thing I went to check out at the front desk rather than doing the express checkout. While it's not a lot of money, it's the principle of being overcharged when you don't expect to be. I found this to be unacceptable and had I not checked the bill, the lady at the front desk would have never caught it.
In my opinion, there are better places to stay on Harbor Blvd if you are travelling with family and going to Disneyland. Seems like this hotel is catered to business and convention folks who are travelling on company expense.

Stayed near beginning of February. Got a damage charge to the room more than 24 hours after check out for a cracked TV for 1200. I did not break anything in that room to be charged more than 24 hours for a broken item and then to be charged in excess of what the TV costs is insane. Would never stay here again. Would advise others to take videos of their room pre and post check out as evidence.

I wish we could give more stars but our experience this past weekend was simply unacceptable. My brother and his wife accompanied us on a Dland Oogie Boogie Bash trip so we wanted to have separate bedrooms but still be able to share a living room to hang out. We specifically chose the Hyatt above all others because they were one of the few hotels that offered a two bedroom suite at a decent price and because they offered early check in for $35 at the time of booking.
We drove over two hours from south San Diego to get to Anaheim early thinking we could hang out at downtown Disney, check in at the Hotel at 1pm (as we reserved), get some rest before the Oogie Boogie Bash started ar 6pm. When we arrived at 1:20pm the suite was NOT available and they Said they couldnt guarantee it until their normal check in time of 4pm. This was incredibly frustrating! We had a 3 year old toddler with us who had just been on a 2 hour drive then walked around for hours in 90 degree weather and in deeperate need of a nap. The front desk offered no help but to refund us the early check in fee and take our baggage until they “figure something out” for us… ok? We sit in the lobby…waiting.. all the while I see the front desk check in other guests well ahead of their 4pm check in time. I go back to the reception to ask the status and all I get is that nothing has changed. No further offer to figure something out for us. I had to ask reception myself if they could just put us in their regular rooms because we just couldnt wait any longer.
The room it self was fine but we paid for and expected a two bedroom suite. The early check in was just too big of a hiccup. Why offer early check in and charge it at booking if you can’t honor it upon arrival? They really need to check their reservations and ensure they have enough rooms clean and available to honor their early check in reservations. Management did later call to switch our rooms but at that point it was just a little too late.. we were already unpacked, settled, and getting ready to leave for the Disney Oogie Boogie Bash.
The stay itself was fine.. the hotel does look a bit dated but you can tell they have tried to update the rooms. However, I would personally probably look else where next time I am looking for a hotel in the area.
Just a word of caution- if you’re looking at the Hyatt for an early check in, dont rely on them to guarantee it even if it is charged at booking!

Communication with this hotel started out rocky, after waiting an hour to request early check in (which didn't happen). Then the room we were given smelled heavily of smoke. I had to call the front desk 4-5 times over the course of 2 hours requesting a new room, before finally dragging all of our luggage back to the lobby to physically get a new room key. Then COVID-19 related housekeeping protocol was NOT communicated, and when I requested "daily housekeeping" the next day, I was asked what I meant by "daily housekeeping" and that if I wanted my room clean, I needed to request it 24+ hours. The restaurant was sometimes open, sometimes not, leaving us in a conundrum with 3 small children after a long day sightseeing. Overall, very poor experience. I would highly recommend the various Marriotts in the area and the Embassy Suites nearby.

I chose to stay at the Hyatt Regency Orange County because it was the only hotel that didn’t have reviews that said the rooms were dirty or the staff didn’t treat them well. The rate was a little more than other area hotels but the room was clean and staff was cordial. We were short of wash cloths but after a text message, more towels were left in our room while we were out. A member of my party thought the pillow top mattress was too soft but I slept fine. The cost of parking was high but at least we never had a problem finding a spot and there weren’t any creepy people in the lot.

+1
Hyatt staff is very friendly and always ready to answer questions and take care of your needs. The little shops inside are friendly as well. Walking to the Anaheim convention center is about 20 minute walk. Great restaurants nearby within walking distance as well. If you plan on traveling to other locations and are driving put your parking tickets in your wallet as some places will give you a validation discount price for parking lots/garages. Tusca restaurant is a little pricey and we enjoyed having breakfast at CoCo's bakery. Highly recommend them. There is plenty of things to do at the Hyatt. The outdoor 3rd floor courtyard is spacious and plenty of room for kids to run around or play games they offer. Can also purchase a s'mores kit too!
Beds are firm & pillows are squishy, room was super quiet. Couldnt hear anyone in hallway or above you. We were here for the California Grand Invitational gymnastics meet and I would highly recommend this place if you dont mind staying off convention center. If headed to Disney get there EARLY. Traffic is horrible, waiting to park will get backed up. Short drive north to Santa Monica Pier, LongBeach to the Aquarium of the Pacific & shopping mall.
Excellent job to the staff!!!!

You will have to ask the hotel directly. I’m sure they will help you out.
It's usually quiet on higher floors, unless they have a huge conference going on. Like the dance one we recently experienced! Whole hotel was noisy and crowded and the music was super loud.
The beds are okay, but ask for a couple of firm pillows as the other ones flatten like a pancake! We usually stay here, but the last few times we have experienced awful customer service and the water pipes are old as we also experienced a major water leak from the ceiling of our suite.
It’s 6 dollars per person but you can use it as much as you want from Disney to the hotel and you buy it at the hotel on a little box they have display on the lobby
