We stayed at the Ranch House at the Newport Ranch complex during the Labor Day weekend. It was a lovely two bedroom well appointed home. Very comfortable beds and a roomy living area. The breakfasts by Chef Victor were delicious and beautifully presented. I had the Huevos Rancheros that were divine. All breakfast choices in our party were very well prepared. Otis and Felicia added a very personal touch to our trip. Felicia is in charge of the garden which produces kale, zuchini, yellow squash, a variety of lettuces, swiss chard, to mention a few. The garden was lush and healthy. The icing on the cake was when Felicia told us we were welcome to all of the produce in the garden during our stay. We had FRESH delicious salads for two of the days of our stay. Thank you Felicia! You are an asset to the Inn at Newport Ranch providing fresh produce for the kitchen as well as the guests. Otis took us on a tour of the property going along the bluffs and into the redwood forest. His stories were fascinating and history was informative. We will be back to this treasure of a place. Thanks to all at the Ranch who made our stay more than perfect.

I don’t know where to start, this is one of the most idyllic, beautiful settings for an iconic destination resort. 2000 unspoiled acres a mile and a half of untouched Northern California Pacific coast line beautiful walking paths with unique benches to sit and reflect on the natural beauty that you’re surrounded by wild berry patches, coveys of quail, spouting humpback whales ... The entire experience is awe-inspiring. The main lodge looks like Frank Loyd Wright designed it himself it is a giant piece of art just full of incredible craftsmanship and Beautiful design touches and unique furniture pieces. (See my pictures) At dinner we had a delicious amuse of local goat cheese with pesto and romanesco sauce, appetizers were local muscles perfectly steamed and served with an oniony white wine and garden fresh herb broth that we needed 2 portions of grilled bread to greedily sop up, main courses included roasted duck breast with a sweet/sour red cabbage, sautéed maitake mushrooms with creamy garlic mashed potatoes, and swordfish with a tangy fresh from their garden ratatouille that was fantastic, dessert was a rustic simply mouth watering raspberry puff pastry sandwich topped with real vanilla ice cream (we were all sad that it ended) The room was so incredibly cozy and full of surprise artsy details that it felt like you’re in a little jewel box. The artistry and craftsmanship carries over from the main lodge. The place feels like it has been there forever and as pastoral and bucolic as the setting is there was nothing backwoods or jury-rigged about how well everything worked ... all was perfect. I highly recommend this property for a family gathering or a solitary get-away. It is wonderful.

We've just returned from a 3-night stay celebrating our 50th Anniversary. What a perfect place? An ideal place for a couples getaway on the bluffs overlooking the ocean. Unique suites, all kinds of walking trails, and thoughtful and helpful staff. We look forward to returning post-COVID-19 when the common areas can be used, but even now it is a wonderfully restful place to stay. The only danger is overeating with the huge included breakfasts and interesting dinner menus. Don't forget to leave time for the wonderfully informative ATV tour of the 2000 acre property.

Hello it’s me again, Victoria! I had to create an account for my husband as I can’t leave another review within 90 days! I wasn’t going to wait 90 days to leave a review about another amazing stay that we had here at the ranch! So let’s begin!! This time we were fortunate enough to stay for 3 nights! I won’t talk about the room as you can’t go wrong with any of the rooms here, I want to talk about our experience with the property and staff! Not in a million years did I think our second trip would be better than our first! We honestly feel like family here! Everyone remembered us (yes I know it was only 2 weeks) and greeted us with open arms (6 feet apart)! Haha WARNING! This post is EXTREMELY long! Blair greeted us when we arrived! She’s just the best! Throughout our stay we had the opportunity to chat with her several times. She always asked us about our stay and if we needed anything! She is super helpful! Bridgette escorted us to our room. We were planning on going into town for dinner and we asked Bridgette if she could suggest anything in town. She gave us several recommendations and we actually ended up going to 2 of them during our 3 night stay. Thank you SO much for the recommendations as they were AMAZING!! When we attended happy hour we were so happy to see Ian again! When we ordered our drinks he said “I should have known!” Made us feel like regulars, he already knew what we wanted! (The East meets west cocktail is amazing!!) Its always nice to chat with Ian when we are in the main house! On our first trip we went on our UTV ride with Otis, we obviously had to go again with Otis during this visit! I felt like we got the chance to hang out with an old friend again while also going back in time and exploring this beautiful property! So I did find out we were the first couple to go out on their new tour that offers the picnic lunch at the beach! The tour takes you on a completely different side of the property! You HAVE to take this tour with Otis! You think you saw it all on the first tour NO way! Omg this decline tour was amazing, I mean I have no words! Otis taught us so much more and showed us so many amazing things like the 2,000 yr old redwood tree and the cemetery that holds hundreds of years of history. Ending the tour on the beach with a picnic lunch made the day even better! (Pack flip flops so you don’t get sand in your shoes like we did) Even though we have done both tours we will go again in December! I tell you Otis is full of information and can teach you so much about the land and the people who lived there before us. I give this tour and Otis 100 out of 10!! Thank you Otis for sharing your knowledge with us! We have officially decided that our favorite meal here at the Inn is breakfast!! I got to meat Layla this trip, who also cooks in the kitchen! Shes great!! I mean you can’t ask for more! Our first breakfast during this trip, Victor came out to say hello! You want to talk about an amazing human being, that’s Victor! Such a kind person and an AMAZING chef! I tell you, I like my eves scrambled and burnt! That’s the only way I eat them and whenever I go out for breakfast they never make them the way I want them! Victor makes them just the way I like them and I appreciate that he goes out of his way to make sure I get what I want the way I like it! I can’t say enough about this guy! During our meals we were helped by Ethan, he was great! So attentive but not overbearing! Always had our drinks filled and amazing food coming! He also helped us during the first time at the Inn. I appreciate great customer service and it’s hard to come by now and days. Makayla also served us is the dining room, that was he first time we met her as well but she was so friendly and super nice! She even checked on a late check out for us! We wanted to stay in the hot tub just a little while longer! Ok let me tell you all about Rikki! We met her on our first stay and she actually helped us book our second visit, as well as our third stay already booked for December! I can’t say enough great things about her! Whenever we needed ANYTHING she was always there to help us out! During this stay while we were at happy hour she came up to us with my brand new jacket that I left in our room from our first stay!! I didn’t even realize I left it! I love that she just brought me my jacket, it totally made my day! Thank you again Rikki, I owe you one!!
