After 10 hours of driving on rugged roads, the Weller House was the perfect place for me. After a pleasant welcoming by the friendly innkeeper/owner I was able to choose my room. It was comfortable and quiet. The Weller House is massively built and sounds just don't travel. It is nearly 125 years old and quite interesting and has a...

The Weller House is indeed surprisingly quiet - especially since we let the border hedges of fragrant Portuguese Laurel and rare Camelias grow taller and taller every year, there is no noise from town traffic even though main street attractions are just one block away. Here all you can hear is the ocean -- and the click of wooden croquet...

So glad you enjoyed your stay! Now that the observation deck on the 5th floor of the water tower has been repainted, we are redesigning the container gardens, which include local succulents from similarly exposed ocean cliffs and headlands.

The tower has a sweet view of the sea and the town and the glass beach is only five minutes walk away! Dances five nights a week here as well as classes. Good base of operations to explore fort Bragg from!

The Weller House Inn has some of the most elegant rooms I have ever seen! The whole property and both buildings (Main House & Tower) are FAR from anything you would find at a typical cookie-cutter style Inn or B&B. Each room is very unique and full of historically rich pieces of furniture. The view of the waves crashing on...

Glad you enjoyed the different rooms, we have had a lot of fun focusing on specific historical periods for each of the rooms, ranging from 1700's French, Georgian English, and Gustavian Swedish through Victorian classical, Orientalist, Aesthetic and Arts & Crafts eras to our latest endeavor, the room at top of the water tower (the highest room in town) inspired...

We had a corner room with shower & toilet on the ground floor with windows to the south and west. An unusual feature of this property is the rooftop small ballroom where dancing displays, lessons and other functions are held from time to time. There were none during our three night stay. The room was on the small size but comfortable,...

We chose Weller House Inn because we love architecture and history--and it did not disappoint! The main home has a library, the dining room, and several guest rooms, but we chose "Raven" room in the water tower because it's pet friendly. Our room was just perfect with lots of windows, gorgeous antiques, a wonderfully comfy king bed, and a Jacuzzi...

Glad you enjoyed all our breakfast options, and the special Weller House recipe for marmalade. The caramelization is a delicious deviation from my grandmother's recipe which is entirely due to our work in hospitality: one day the doorbell rang at just the right wrong moment! That batch was so tasty, we evolved a special method for caramelization, and never skip...

Glad you liked the fair trade organic Weller House blend from local beanster Thanksgiving Coffee, 'not just a cup, but a just cup'. Hope to host you again for our next special tango event Jan 7, with live music by two of the best musicians who have ever played in the redwood ballroom, Seth Asarnow (bandoneon) and Pablo Motta (contrabass).

If you're looking for brass, glass and T.V.s, then this place isn't for you. This quiet, beautifully restored and enriching B & B, conveniently located one block west of Main, provides an experience akin to the hospitality of days long past. A historical treasure (est. 1886), worthy of a long weekend stay, is within walking distance of two micro-breweries and...

Glad you enjoyed your stay! The tub in Tulip room is the longest of our clawfoot tubs, all deep enough to banish very thought of exposed knees. Next longest is in Midsummer, and the shortest is in Lotus (where the "slipper tub" with ergonomically comfortable high back provides a very comfortable soak, and guests who are 'vertically challenged' mention it...

Surf's up! You can rent wetsuits locally, and we can even provide a complete set of Abalone diving gear, as well as the wood/charcoal burning BBQ by the back porch if you want to enjoy some of your catch right away. My family and I had the opportunity to take some much needed away time so we found a cozy B&B and headed up the coast. We were absolutely taken back the moment we stepped inside The Weller House. We were happy to host your delightful family, and glad you enjoyed our special collection of illustrated children's books from around the world. We now have a croquet set at the ready for our front lawn, which even very young children seem to enjoy.
