Our compliments to the staff and especially Diana who made our stay and enjoyable. We’ll return to this establishment on our next visit. Fort Bragg is beautiful and we love the north coast. There are many things to do including hikes, beaches etci
We love Fort Bragg and normally stay at the Harbor Lite Lodge overlooking Noyo Harbor. But last week we decided to stay at North Cliff because we’ve always wanted to check it out! The view was nice, great hot tub, a well furnished clean room! Here’s the BUT, it’s the little things that count more than the thick terry robes! The microwave plate clanked the entire time it was on, I drink tea so that was the only way to heat water...actual mugs would have been nice, but they only had paper cups...I like tea so there was a lot of clanking going on! Most hotels also have wine glasses, especially in the wine country but no just thin plastic cups, not so fun! The sheets were actually thread bare, and very scratchy, below average! We stayed at Harbor Lite last summer during COVID and they still offered breakfast, always had hot coffee and hot water available! The WiFi is more than spotty, pretty much not available...TV stations were very few and not HD, so distorted picture! We were very disappointed since our expectations were obviously greater than what the hotel offered! We won’t be staying again...…
We have stayed at several hotels throughout the years and this was our first time staying at the North Cliff hotel. We had a ground floor (1st floor) (king suite). It has a fantastic view of the ocean and entrance to Noyo Harbor. We saw whales from the balcony. From the hotel, you can enter the walking path that takes you clear to Pudding Creek. The walk is beautiful and whales and other wildlife can be spotted along the path to Pudding Creek and Glass Beach. Only negative we have is the internet/wifi was almost nonexistent. Very sporadic service. For a hotel such as this, a better wifi/internet system should be invested in. All-in-all we would stay at this hotel again in the future.
The hotel was great for our anniversary getaway. They knew that it was our anniversary & decorated the room for it along with a bottle of champagne. The view is great. Currently due to Covid, neither the restaurant or breakfast is available.
This place sits over the entrance to the harbor and has direct views of the ocean from every angle. The fog horn will blow every 8-12 seconds so beware. It didn't bother me at all after the first few hours. Some of the luxuries of booking an expensive hotel were missed for sure. Room cleaning and breakfast for sure, but as long as you are understanding about the pandemic, you can still travel. The hotel lobby is very strict about masks. You will not be let inside without one. I wonder if a discount could be given where services are now limited, the room rates are still full price even though no room service, housekeeping or resturant is available
