The first night of a long road trip vacation saw us in Fort Bragg. The motel was easy to find and check in was via the restaurant above. Waterfront view over the river was worth the extra cost over the standard car park vista. The room was very clean and had a great bed. The only downside was the slow... More

This hotel was so great. I got a waterfront room and that doesn't just mean you have a nice view of the water, no your deck is right over the water. It is so unique and cool to sit out there with some wine and be right above the water with seals and birds right in front of you. It's... More

I had booked a fishing trip in the area and found this lodge on Tripadvisor. What a pleasant surprise! They offer rooms on the water for just $99 with a AAA discount of 10%. The rooms are under the restaurant above the but restaurant closes at 9PM so there were no noise issues. My balcony was just above the water... More

We stayed at the Anchor lodge on a trio down the coast. The motel is on the wharf in the harbor which is nice. There is a bar/restaurant co-located that was one reason we selected the Anchor. After traveling all day we didn't want to get a room and then go driving again looking for dinner. In that respect it... More

My most recent stay here was Thanksgiving of 2014. The rooms are very clean, all the appliances functioned well.. the service was great. This year I opted to pay extra for the view, and while the view is amazing from a view room.. I wouldn't recommend it if you are a light sleeper. Pots and pans can be heard banging... More

Motorcycle trip with friends. We wanted to go to the Silver's restaurant and saw this little motel unit right across the parking lot from the restaurant. Clean and basic but for $65 for two beds, it was the bargain of a 7 day trip. Great meal at restaurant and then watched sun go down from the motel. Close to the... More

Truly a unique location. Room was on the waterfront, within 15 feet of water level. Boats passing in and out of the bay were literally within reach. Amazing! Downside was no wifi service. I was told their internet had been down for three days at this point. Kathy, at the reception desk, sincerely tried to help with this, but no... More

This is a great stop for motorcyclists. Check out the rooms across the parking lot for even better deals. Downstairs rooms have two beds. Nothing fancy, but very clean, and a coffee pot in the room. Walk across the lot to the Wharf restaurant for great seafood. A large bar area features lots of tv screens for sports viewing.

After reading the reviews here, my husband and I decided to stay on a Saturday night while I was in town on business. The place is nestled in between all sorts of harbor delights, from fresh crab stands to the coast guard station, a little mexican restaurant that looks like it was put up just for the fishermen coming in... For the price... without the view...HELL NO! This is RUSTIC. This is NOT a 5 star chain. The price is high for what you get.... But I am paying for the view....not the room quality. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my balcony...love the view, LOVE the proximity to the water.... This was perfection... Cocktails above at the wharf, watch the sunset...did... More
