This 1890’s home is about as close to staying in a Victorian farm house as you can get, while still being within walking distance to everything Fort Bragg has to offer. Comfortable homey rooms, a big family breakfast around a single table where you’ll meet people from around the world, chickens, rabbits, and a “farm house” dog (our Corgi Riley). We offer eco-friendly lodging, gourmet organic scratch made food, high end cotton bedding and linens, tempurpedic bed toppers, down comforters, a secluded hot tub on a redwood deck, and lots of complimentary extras. This Vintage mother/daughter owned and run B&B is not your typical luxury hotel – it’s your home away from home on the Mendocino coast. Unplug, and stay while.

My hubby and I needed a nice and quick getaway, this was perfect, we stayed in Summertime, which was a beautiful room with a fireplace. We mostly wanted to relax so we spent most of the time in our room. We did get to enjoy the hot tub which was lovely! The breakfast was amazing and filled our appetite nicely, it was quiche Lorraine, home style potatoes and a sweet side salad with sweet strawberries. We want to come back and experience this lovely place! And have one of the other breakfasts she offers yum yum!! Oh by the way the bed was really comfy! And we didn’t notice the noise other reviewer mentioned. Thank you for the beautiful relaxing stay, we will be back!!

My wife and I journeyed up to Fort Bragg to celebrate our anniversary and stayed at the Country Inn for two nights. The stay was amazing! This is a cute B&B located a 5 minute walk from the downtown shops, the Skunk Train, and the Coastal Trail leading to Glass Beach and beyond. The rooms are large, the house and grounds are beautiful, and the breakfasts created by Christine are top-notch. There are two Corgis that are available for petting most of the day, and I dare you to try to resist! Out back are the chicken coops, where Christine's flock of Silkies are wonderful to observe and provide coop-fresh eggs for breakfast each morning. There's even a bunny in the garden, but we didn't ask to hold it...that would have been too much cuteness for one weekend! There's a common area stocked with board games and books, random snacks appear for all, and a hot tub that looked nice but wasn't used by us during our stay. The location is great, seriously close to everything. Street noise may be an issue, but we had a room at the back of the house (Pomo Sunrise) and heard none of it. For us, the house noise was at a minimum and led to an incredibly peaceful and fun stay. Back to the breakfast: my wife has a dairy allergy, and Christine was masterful at creating the same breakfast for her without dairy as she did for the rest of the guests. She was very happy about that! I can say nothing negative about our stay, except that it flew by way too quickly. We will be back!

Fiance and I headed to Fort Bragg for a getaway weekend and chose to give the Country Inn a try as it had a great location, looked nice and had positive reviews. We were not disappointed on any of those fronts. Walk to glass beach or downtown shops and restaurants. Room was quaint and comfortable. Hot Tub was a nice bonus in the cool, later winter weather we had. Breakfast both days was great and accommodating to our dietary restrictions (as well as different preferences of folks we ate with). Lastly, Christine was terrific. Helpful and friendly for whatever we needed (which wasn't much - she's anticipated pretty much anything you might want). Will recommend to friends, and we'll come back. For sure.

My husband and I traveled to Fort Bragg for the first time after hearing about the beautiful coastline. We chose Country Inn for the convenient location and were pleasantly surprised with all the little extras! Snacks, hot drinks, a share refrigerator and microwave, robes in the guest room, and a hot tub! What stands out the most for us is the wonderful customer service and friendliness of Christine. The breakfast was absolutely amazing and she accommodated our gluten-free lifestyle as well. We will be back!

What a charmingly cute bed and breakfast! We don’t typically pick a BnB for the breakfast… these days the “airbnb” trend seems to have dropped the second B altogether, as a quaint, charming afterthought. Well, the Country Inn Bed and Breakfast was definitely charming, comfortably quaint… and the breakfast was no afterthought! (stuffed french toast, broccoli cheddar quiche, fresh raspberry salad, fluffy scrambled eggs from the chickens in the backyard, my mouth is watering just thinking about it). Breakfast also offered an opportunity to connect with other guests in the property: It was served in two seatings, at 8:15 and 9:15 in the morning, so we shared a table with a number of other couples also visiting the B&B at the same time. We talked to, among others, an amateur mycologist, a couple on a honeymoon getaway, and an underwater basket weaver (who makes her own dyes out of deposits of colorful rocks she spots by the side of the road!), all of whom were a pleasure to meet. The hosts also offer room service for a modest additional fee if you’re feeling more of a private or antisocial vibe. The hosts (both human and corgi) were extraordinarily helpful and friendly. We arrived after hours and check-in was a breeze; they arranged a door code and left us detailed instructions and the key to the room for us to find. We accidentally left a Kindle in the room on checkout, and they both called and emailed us promptly to make sure we got it back, and even offered to ship it if we couldn’t return to pick it up in person. Every detail was picture-perfect: the unspeakably adorable seasonal decorations, the location on Route 1 steps from cute downtown Fort Bragg, the easy secluded hot tub deck, the enthusiastic and friendly puppers, the appropriately massive coffee mugs, and the inevitable feeling of cozy country relaxation.
