The location of this campgrounds is great. There are lots of wineries, and fun activities nearby. The campground itself is small and doesn't offer a great deal. It is close to the Russian River. You can trek down to the river to float, paddle board. The staff was friendly and helpful. The one negative for me was that the RV area is filled with long term residents that had not maintained their RVs well. It gives a less desirable atmosphere.

The staff makes you feel very welcome. The kids activities on Saturday are so fun for the kids. Stay in a cabin and float down the river! Tent camping and RV sites are great too. Making reservations online is easy and fast.

I found this place at the last minute for my husbands birthday trip. I didn't expect much because the pictures on the website were limited. Reservations can only be made online. So any questions I had I couldn't ask. This place is very pricey, I paid $119 a night for our little cabin. But it is the Russian River. We arrived on a Friday evening to very friendly staff. We were checked in quickly since everything was prepaid on the internet at time of reservation. We were taken to our cabin by following behind a golf cart. My grandson asked if he could ride on the golf cart and they said yes. Our little cabin was waiting for us. Using the key provided I opened the door. I found a very clean small cabin with a double bed/twin on top bunk bed. Also there's a fan, a heater, a light, 2 chairs, a small trash can and windows that open all having screens. Not a lot of room in the cabin but plenty for us 2 adults and a 6 year old. Outside was a little front porch, a fire pit, and a picnic table. The space is all dirt, no grass. Right across the path is the entrance to the river. Showers and bathrooms are about 30 feet away. The bathrooms were alright, nothing fancy. They are clean. There are several playgrounds, 2 old arcades(a bit musty smelling), horse shoe pit, and on Saturday starting at 4pm they have kids activities. Then at 8pm a family movie. The river is very nice. BRING WATER SHOES!! The water is shallow and easy for kids to hangout in. No shade so either sunscreen or bring an easyup. The owners keep the place family friendly. No late night drinkers and crazy partiers. So sleeping is not a problem. Other than the kind of high price we enjoyed this experience very much.

We stayed in site R6 and had a very relaxing time. The site has large trees and plenty of shade for the hot summer months. Nights were cool and comfortable. The only distractions are that R6 gets used as a path to the river by R7-15 instead of using the road. That is more an issue of rudeness by guests vs. something bad about the facility. The restrooms were clean and the showers are free. The lawn in the tent area (T24-34) is lush and green. Most of the other sites are a bit dusty as Northern California doesn't get rain in the summer and it is hard to grow grass in the shade. Definitely a place to consider if you are staying on the Russian River. Bring a Kayak or inner tube and you will enjoy your stay even more.

I thought the facilities were really well maintained and clean. The employees were friendly, pleasant and always helpful, even when we weren't following the directions properly. The beach was easy to get to from our site and even one of our recently-injured friends was able to make the walk.
