One of the perks of living in the Bay Area is that you can "stay-cation" in amazing wine country destinations like Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino, etc. This holiday weekend (MLK), we indulged in a stay at Farmhouse Inn in Sonoma's Russian River Valley. There has been a lot of hype surrounding this retreat of late, and I can confidently stay it...

What a fantastic evening my wife and I shared at Farmhouse this week to celebrate our 17th Wedding Anniversary. Everything was perfect; the food, the wine pairing, locally baked bread, homemade butter, the service and ambiance. Susan & I have enjoyed many lovely meals together, but this one combined all the service we could hope for without the all too...

We have stayed here twice: Once last year when I was celebrating a new job, and just this past weekend. We stayed at a number of nice resorts and B&Bs over the summer, and every time we just could not match the Farmhouse Inn! The rooms are beyond comfortable. Down bed topper, a gorgeous and warm gas fireplace that works...

Whenever we come up to the Santa Rosa/Windsor area, a reservation for dinner at the Farmhouse is a must for us. Not for any budget dining, the 3 course meal is $94 and the 4 course is $110... and that's without wine. I had an Atlantic sea scallop for my first course, a huge foie gras for second course ($18...

To celebrate my partner's 68th birthday we enjoyed a wonderful 4 course dinner with very special Russian River wine. From the amus-bouche (hope I spelled right) of mushroom soup with onion foam (looked just like an espresso) to the gingerbread salad (gingerbread, ginger pastry, vanilla ice cream, apricot puree) every bite was super special. Service was beautiful, prompt but not...

Seclusion. Quiet. Ditch the kids. Don't tell them where you are - they'll never find you. Surrounded by the romantic Russian River Valley. Vineyards but a short stagger away. Healdsburg a 15 minute drive. But why leave the property? Wonderful spa. Great restaurant with fresh, tasty, healthy food. But then, why leave the room? Large, comfy, with a steam shower...

It is difficult to imagine a more ideal location in which to spend time - to relax, then to explore, then to eat the most sumptuous of dinner and breakfast by a chef whose reputation has been sustained from year to year. From start to finish, we were 'pampered' by the warmth and genuine pleasure to host shown by all...

Our owners Catherine and Joe truly invite guests into this special home they've built here. Staff feels the same--we love sharing our favorite places here and around Sonoma County with guests as we do our friends and family. So glad we could pamper you during your stay!

We loved our upstairs room with steam shower, large balcony, fireplace, sitting area and walk in closet with very tasteful decor. The outside lacks somewhat in appeal as it just seems massive and too close together even though the landscaping was quite nice. Honestly though, who cares once you enter your room, it is amazing! They have designed in my...

Our rooms are the perfect spaces to relax, away from the world. We love ending the day with s'mores by the firepits getting to know the other guests, but our favorite time is in the mornings in the cozy beds with the fireplaces crackling. So glad you enjoyed the big bright barn rooms!

Farmhouse Inn is a very relaxing 25-room (including 6 cottages) hotel enveloped in luxury and extraordinary service and style. The barn-like/farm-like buildings are shaker-style soothing in their simplicity. The entire aesthetic of the property is one of quietude and privacy. The location of Farmhouse Inn is perfect for couples who want to escape the touristy ambiance and traffic-clogged areas of...

I chose this restaurant for its one star Michelin rating. I wanted to give my partner a special meal experience on our get away to Sonoma. I was not disappointed. I had a wonderful 3 course meal with wine pairings and my partner ordered a la cart. My raspberry souffle was one of the best desserts I have had in...
