#2 of 3 hotels in Bukit Tinggi
Colmar Tropicale was modeled after 16th century Colmar town, north east of Alsace, France, also incorporatingarchitectural designs and elements from ancient surrounding villages of Riquewihr, Turckheim and Kaysersberg. The realization of this French themed village derived from the wish list of the Malaysia's fourth Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad, who upon his visit to the region of Alsace were so impressed, that it inspired Tan Sri Vincent Tan, the founder of Berjaya Corporation Berhad to replicate the actual Colmar town in Malaysia. The resort comprised of 235 rooms and suites, offers 8 food & beverage outlets / lounges with food variety ranging from local & international cuisine to an authentic French fine dining restaurant. It also offers meeting rooms and banqueting facilities.

Nice and beautiful landscape with interesting view that looks alike colmar village in france and Japanese garden. The climate quite nice and cosy. The room are quite nice and clean but a bit dated. Foods and mostly everything are quite expensive.

2 day 1 night there, weather is good as the location was high hill & center on the jungle. Staff there was not well trained, from the reception until the restaurant staff. Mostly foreigner staff is working there, some of them was not really good in English. Less parking, and they still put a blocking con for some parking space which reserve for their own staff. You will not feeling well when u saw their staff who rest at parking area, they look like "gangster". A lot of staff is smocking at parking area, seem like they dunno have a proper smocking area over here. Check in & check out progress is extremely slow. They should be still using the old kind of check in & out method. Staff is the champion, he answer the his mobile phone in front of us while explaining the details in the half way. Never happen before for this kind of situation. Lift at accommodation building is quite small. Luckily room is clean, bedding is good. Just the smell like "moisture". Restaurant always full. Not well organize how to serve customer. No one will bother you even u are standing in front of the "please wait to be seat" board. We had dinner at the restaurant which serve breakfast, one of the family member ordered "burger" set, after 45 minute waiting, they serve us 2 buns, because their burger bread was out of stock. They did inform us waiting time will be more than 30 minute, but they never inform the burger was out of stock and never ask us on the replacement. Kind of funny service. The theme building is look good from far or from the picture, but it lack of maintain. You need to pay the entrance fee per person but it is refundable on your check out. This great location seem like abandon by their company.

The 1st star is for the 1st 15 mins after we checked in. The 2nd's for its breakfast. It's only about 200 metres from the start of the bridge till the end of @ the tower. Both lunch and dinner were really bad experiences. U got to 'climb' for about 10 mins before u can reach the Japanese Village where the Japanese restaurant is located. Very limited choices. Dinner in one of the restaurant take ages. It took more than an hour for 6 of us to be served with simple dishes like fried rice and a plate of spaghetti....in the end we cancelled 1 order and went to another restaurant, and waited another 45 mins for 2 pizzas. The reason the supervisor gave was because there's only 1 chef preparing the meals...went to the Adventure Park hoping to try the longest Flying Fox in South East Asia only to be disappointed because it's doing branches cutting, of all days... Animal Park advertised is actually only a Rabbit park...u had better check the timing for the shuttle transfer to the various locations because its not the same as listed on the timing sheet.

Had a good trip. The Japanese garden, the orchid collection, and up and down the colmar itself. Love the whole experience. The crowd is still bearable as we had arrived very early in the day itself. Would prefer more food choices, but overall it was still quite ok as our food is served very fast and efficient by the restaurant.

My family and I have visited your place on the 6/6/2019. We reached there before noon. We paid RM16 nett for adult and RM9 nett for entrance fees. To our surprise and disappointment, we got down from our car park with my mother in law in wheel chair, the lift at the car park is not working. I think it is not acceptable as not everyone is able to walk down the steps of stairs. We have not choice to risk our life by wheeling my mother in law on the wheelchair through the car park road with traveling buses and cars speed down the slope while we walked. Colmar Tropicale, being a popular holiday destination, I think you need to look into the accessibility of not so able people at your place. We paid at fees for entrance and at least expecting some form of sensitivity from your management.
