The design of this place makes us feel like we not in asia. You can either stay there or just take a day trip as what we do. The entrance fee is rm13 ( adult) and rm8 (kids). This place offer a French theme village, Japanese garden, animal farm as well as flying fox activities.

Place is acceptable but the deluxe room at car park area is not my preference. If refurbishment can be done, it'll definitely attract more people to stay over. Staffs are friendly but the dirt outside my room was not clean up although we have requested it twice. Food is normal nothing fancy.

Came her for a bit of a retreat with some friends over a weekend - with the purpose of getting some work done together. It's an interesting place. I had zero expectations coming in and ended up pleasantly surprised. Good - The food is actually really delicious - expensive for the area, but was very reasonably priced by my local... More

Unique European village styled resort with comfy rooms, friendly staff and great photo ops. However shower was in a sorry state and difficult to operate. Breakfast was good and the nighttime lights were simply breathtaking.

I have stayed in Colmar about 4 to 5 times. Compare to first visit only problem I discovered was the maintenance of the place. The power points in the room doesn't work. Need attention. But the surrounding and the scenery of the place still 5 star for my eyes. The forest view from my room was wonderful. Sun rise and... More

The big problem in this place is the food , really the food is bad there except the BBQ night on Saturday , the breakfast is the biggest problem ( not suitable for many people taste) - after 10pm nothing we can do there . The views there are amazing on the other hand .

So, this place really is an attempt to create something European up in the hills just outside of KL. In fact it's only an hour or so to drive there, which is a big plus. The road up is ok, not too windy. If I'm honest, I have to say that a day trip here would be sufficient. We stayed... More

Okay so the resort is old. Good visit on a nice rainy day I would say. Enjoy an evening. Nothing beyond. Old and rundown rooms. Lousy breakfast. Poor room service. Points to note: If not staying its Malaysian ringgit 26 per adult to enter the resort. Beer costs 26 ringgit at the restraunts. No French cuisine. There is a place... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Colmar Tropicale was modeled after 16th century Colmar town, north east of Alsace, France, also incorporatingarchitectural designs and elements from ancient surrounding villages of Riquewihr, Turckheim and Kaysersberg. The realization of this French themed village derived from the wish list of the Malaysia's fourth Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad, who upon his visit to the region of Alsace were so impressed, that it inspired Tan Sri Vincent Tan, the founder of Berjaya Corporation Berhad to replicate the actual Colmar town in Malaysia. The resort comprised of 235 rooms and suites, offers 8 food & beverage outlets / lounges with food variety ranging from local & international cuisine to an authentic French fine dining restaurant. It also offers meeting rooms and banqueting facilities. ... more   less
