Stayed there for 1 night with 5 and 4 years old children. The king size bed is big enough for 4 of us, the room is clean and tidy and definitely comfortable to stay. A few down side were the pillows are a bit bigger than normal size, and the ceiling fan in our room was not working well with a bit of noise, a down light is not working too. We have highlight the matters upon check out.
The swimming pool is nice, my children enjoyed it so much. The buffer breakfast however is just average, not quite what we are expecting. The varieties can be more and especially the pastries, limited choices.
There is complimentary welcome drinks upon check-in and also a free cocktail between 5-7PM for in house guests, so make sure you go have a drink. There is a French fine dine restaurant where children are not allowed but it is OK because the Colmar Tropicale is within walking distance, more affordable choices are there. There are also 7-11 and Starbucks in Colmar but they close quite early at 11pm and 9pm respectively.

This hotel is breathtakingly beautiful but it requires a long drive up a long stretch of winding narrow roads. Rooms are clean and newly refurbished. It is hard to find such a luxurious looking hotel in Malaysia. The staffs in general are very professional and service oriented. Unfortunately, my initial impression was ruined by the staff named Joey.
Joey told us a long story about handling VIP guests and that he has worked here a long time. However, he ended up giving us the wrong beds, rooms not on the same level and we waited 2.5 hrs for the room because he told us he need time to prepare. When we arrive at the counter he still made us wait while he plan the itinerary for a group of 20 people.. it's obvious that the group was still discussing and he rather make us wait than hand us the key cards.
Looking at the situation, Carlos came to assist us. Obviously he had to bear our fury of the wrong rooms and different floors given. However, he resolved this issue within half an hour and provided us 2 rooms on the same floor with the right beds. Also, he found our booking reservation even though Joey couldn't find it and requested for the wrong beds for us.
All in all, I would never want to return to Chateau due to the horrible experience given by Joey but this was saved by Carlos who did all he can to rectify his colleague's mistakes. Food at La Vie was pretty good especially the Nasi Goreng. Parking your car there is very safe as there is security everywhere.

We booked 2 rooms and stayed here for a night with our family. Overall was okay, the front office staffs were very nice and friendly, the checked in process is basically flawless.
The F&B staff were really friendly especially those staffs at the pool area.
We enjoyed our stay but the room I stayed in has no items at the mini bar, I called the room service a few times to asked for the items but they just simply sent me a few items despite I was only asking for tea bags. Also the cups was not washed at all, coffee stained was still on the cups, i have to wash it with boiling waster and i can see the water turned brown after I poured it into the cups.
Another thing is We asked for an extra bed, but no extra amenities (toothbrush and others) was provided, again I need to call the to provide it.
Overall the stay was okay. I think the housekeeping department really need to pay more attention to details and not to mentioned the person who picked up my call when i asked for extra amenities and tea bags was rather unfriendly.

Our 2 nights at the chateau was very nice and comfortable. The journey right up to the hotel was already magical with all the winding roads surrounded with lush greenary.
There was ample parking space provided and it was guarded too.
Check in was uneventful too. The room was comfortable and our room faced the golf course with the backdrop of banjaran titiwangsa.
Breakfast was fine too with the mix of local and Western flavour. The coffee machine was great too. What I noticed was the tea and coffee sachet provided was very flavourful.
Our kid enjoyed the pool and it wasn't that packed when we used it considering the holiday season that time
Would certainly return there in the near future!

It was a nice drive up that didn’t realize the potential of the facade and the reviews. The more recent reviews are telling of the current state of affairs. Too pricey for an isolated luxury offering. The food offerings were poor and there is no resort aspect as there is no activities that would provide a resort experience. As for the Restuarant it was one option with expensive food offerings. We ordered chicken parmigiana and it came with a Kraft single cheese slice for RM58. I am not sure what the resort is capable of but we will not be returning to find out and we won’t be encouraging anyone to make the trip.

The Chateau is absolutely beautiful in a gorgeous location. The staff were extremely helpful from the moment we drove up the driveway. It was a relaxing nights stay, so nice to be out amongst the greenery and have spectacular views form our room. The pool was great, especially having a shallow section where our nearly 3 year old could play. The complimentary cocktail was lovely and we wish we'd packed gym gear so we could have enjoyed the yoga session. The food at the restaurant was great and a kids menu also provided. We wish we were staying longer than one night so we could have enjoyed the high tea and spa as well. We will definitely be back especially as it's such an easy drive from KL.

Great resort for a recharge trip, nice weather, great security, nice scenery , high privacy.... Staff are friendly and good. Cleanliness is great, everything is well maintained. The stay was nice and comfortable but need to be careful to stay during rainy season. The insects that are attracted to lights was kinda alot and quite disturbing. The management only advised to turn off the lights to make the insects go away. Luckily, i had a junior suite where i turned off my lights in the room and distracted all the insects to the living room and closed the door afterwards.

The pool at Chateau is not heated. It gets maybe one degree warmer by sunset. I like swimming in cold water, but this water was too cold for me.
The Chateau is not a place for children. It is more a place for couples. This place is not for a group of noisy tourists either. The place is serene and requires this serenity not to be ruined by the people who don't appreciate it.
Food serving is very slow in the Chateau and this may be tough on your children.
If you have noisy children, I would recommend to stay across from the Chateau where you can also schedule different activities.
Our favorite was a walk in the botanical garden there. It takes 10 min drive from the Chateau to get there. Wild monkeys s are very cool looking there, with white ring around their eyes.
I also recommend to take a walk at sunrise in the area around the Chateau walking down towards the botanical garden. You will hear amazing sounds of the waking up jungle. This is the most memorable experience we had there.

However, the L'assiette ,Our french fine dining restaurant & Le Sante Spa still remains with the no child policy.
We do offer transport pickup or drop off at RM 300 per way. Grab option is also available and the journey is around 35 minutes.
