The inn is comfortable and pleasant. Staff friendly, professional, and helpful. Got breakfast is great with a buffet and made to order options available. It is away from large hotels and the shopping mall. It is located steps away from the old downtown area with shops including olde tyme candy store. There is also a short walking trail behind the inn.

This is the place I have my family go when they visit Folsom since it's so close to Sutter St and Old Folsom. They have great food, a bar, pool and hot tub and the best places to walk too! If you stay here, try my favorite shops in walking distance. Snooks Chocolate Factory, The Painted Cork paint and sip art Studio, The Folsom Hotel and Sutter St Steak House!!

Outside looks very nice, lobby nice, restaurant awful. Room terrible. Room needs new carpet, window coverings, bed linens. Glad I travel with my own pillow, the bed pillows were disgusting. I would not stay there again and highly recommend they get the rooms refurbished.

Stayed at this hotel to run the CIM. It is conveniently located to get to the start, but otherwise is not a good place to stay. I would call checking out from this hotel after the race the event which takes CIM into "ultra marathon" territory. The night before the race there was a wedding. I know this despite being on the 4th floor because I could hear the music and dancing as if it was in the room until ~1am. In any case I got up for the race at 4:30am to catch the bus and left my wife with our 2 year old instead of having her drop me off at the shuttle so she could get some actual sleep before meeting me at the finish. My 2 year old wakes up at 6, but my wife was concerned about the noise he might make disturbing the other guests since we had found out about the paper thin walls the night before. I finished the race, then headed straight back to the hotel. I called ahead and let them know we were going to be there just after the 2pm checkout, to which the front desk attendant replied that would be fine. I got to the room and packed our things, not wanting to hold the room any longer with the "convenience" of taking a shower. We were out at 2:37pm (I know this because it was noted in my additional bill!) Up to this point, I wouldn't have felt compelled to leave a review positive or negative, I had a room, I got to the start, and I ran the race. It wasn't an awesome experience and I wouldn't have recommended it, but I wasn't so upset that I would warn others away since that's just not what I do. After we left, however, Lake Natoma Inn had to get one more jab in. I got my receipt by mail showing that we had been charged for the night, then a few minutes later, received a second receipt where I was charged for an additional night with initials from the person who is apparently the lead manager (only initialed as "JR" on the receipt). I called the hotel to explain that I had explicitly called the front desk to check that we would be OK, I was again received politely by a receptionist who was not a manager and could not remove the charge, but indicated the new manager had been overly strict and this would surely be removed since it has been common practice to let marathoners have extra time. I called back the next time the manager was in and he assured me this charge would not be removed, politely explained to me that I should have run the marathon faster to meet the checkout time, and politely greeted me away. When I asked who his boss was he explained to me that he was the boss and answered to no one. JR explained I should happily accept the charge as the >50yr old gentleman in the room across from me who also ran the CIM did since I had asked what happened there. I watched that gentleman check out, profusely thanking the front desk attendant for accommodating him. I get the feeling he received the same treatment as I did, OK'd by the front desk only to be double charged by the manager. If JR has a boss, and that person happens to see this review, cheers to your fine manager.

This place is ridiculous. We had a conflict with the night front desk lady Holli, over the water machine not working. The next morning when I tried to file a complaint about her with the manager on staff (Jake), he immediately told me that we had to leave or he would call the cops. Holli had told him that my husband had threatened her. Jake would not speak to me at all and had no idea what had even happened, he just treated us like we were some kind of "riffraff" he didn't want at the hotel. I'm completely confused about how this whole thing was handled. I told him to go ahead and call the police. The cops came and they laughed with us about how ridiculous the whole situation was. They even apologized to me. Lol We were served a "no trespassing notice" too. Don't worry, Jake & Holli! We wouldn't come back if you paid us! I guess we live in a world where hotel can just accuse your guests of whatever you want and kick them out without even addressing what actually happened. Peace.
