Detailed Reviews
Great location, lovely town of Folsom. Room was spacious albeit older. The room was clean, beds comfortable and great water pressure in the shower. The cafe and bar was adequate. Breakfast was delicious. The reception desk staff eS friendly and helpful. Our requests for room location was respected. Next time will request a room on the upper level as the guests above us were very loud.

Nice place along the Gold River in historic Folsom. Place is a bit worn, rooms are fairly large. Has a breakfast place open from 6:30-10:30am. Walking down to the river was nice, and there are quite a few restaurants nearby, though none was open late that i could tell.

Great little hotel in Old Folsom, within walking distance to nice shops, bars and great restaurants. We have been coming here for years and the staff is always friendly and helpful. If you’re in kayaking or SUP, there’s access to the river behind the hotel.

The location is good but it ends there.
The hall (4th floor) smells of rotten milk as soon as you get off the elevator.
They do not offer house keeping until you have stayed 3 nights! Apparently 'since COVID'... this is mid-2024. This level of service is not consistent with a hotel room charging $350+/night! I travel 2-3 nights a week in hotels and rooms are on par with $100 a night motels. The suite was somewhat spacious, with a tub on the middle of the bedroom (hello 1985). Photos make it look a lot better than the rather awkward reality that it is.
There is a fireplace but you get a starter log and no wood... and of course only on the first night because no one comes to your room for 2 more nights!
The rooms are tired, the pull out couch mattress could not be more uncomfortable.

This was our second stay at Lake natoma.inn what a change for the bad. We booked a seven day stay after day two we had to leave. Day one at there included rotten breakfast I asked a employee to please clean the syrup off our table when this girl Maria called me stupid in Spanish to the other employee we’ll surprise to her I speak Spanish when told her I didn’t appreciate her calling me pendejo for asking her to do her job her response was oh I’m just crazy today. Well After eating I wet the to find the GM Name was Joe told him what happened he offered to buy my breakfast what a joke it’s already included in our stay. That was the first encounter next was a large wedding party with multiple drunk persons loudly yelling profanities in front of my 11 year old child staff did nothing to stop it just looked the other way.Second night woke up to no hot water called down to the front desk response was sorry the boiler broke and no maintenance person is here on weekends but he’s coming. Asked if the GM Joe is coming they weren’t sure. He did not show up. That’s when me decided to leave the dilapidated hotel never to return. Stay away from this hotel they ruined our plan to be in the Folsom area for the week.

Thanks for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry your experience didn’t match your expectations. It was an uncommon instance that our hot water boiler was not functioning properly but we do try our best to rectify when we can. You were compensated generously as you received a highly discounted rate for the first two nights of your stay and given 50% off your 3rd night since that was the night the hot water was out. So sorry you did not enjoy your stay.

Would give less that 1 if could. Will not stay here if last hotel available. Made a reservation for an event and two days before the date we have a very devistating death in the family, unfortunately causing us to have to cancel the event and the trip all together. We contacted the hotel even offered proof of the death and was advised there would be a cancelation fee but that it would be waived due to the circumstances. After looking at our statement we were not only charged for both cancelation fees but at a higher cost then the room rate itself. I called the hotel to discuss and was told the manager was gone for the day. She did call me back the next day advising me that I was informed of the cancelation fee in an email and admitted that they had in fact charged it inappropriately it was still however higher then the room rate and would refund the difference but would not budge on honoring what their employee told us about waiving the cancelation fee. I run a business myself and would never treat clients like this. Completely unprofessional and not compassionate in any way. Would not stay at a place where they had no care for their clients or guests. The even was rescheduled and we would have considered staying there and have booked additional rooms elsewhere. We will not be staying here.

I made my booking in error and was not notified until I received a missed check in alert. The hotel showed zero understanding and refused to issue a refund. Given the reservation was mid week and only for one night, I found their unwillingness to refund a bit ridiculous. Based on customer service, I will not patron this establishment in the future nor would I recommend it.

Usually when errors are made through a third party booking we are contacted right away. We held this room for you for two weeks and turned others away for this room type. We have no way of knowing that you really do not want to stay when you have a confirmed reservation. You are sent an email confirmation immediately after making your reservation by Expedia so you can make sure everything is correct. If you did not receive one I would recommend reaching out to Expedia.

Horrible hotel with one redeeming quality, walls and ceiling in our room was freshly painted. Carpets were so filthy and stained that my white socks turned black. Sofa in our executive king room was stained, furniture was horrible and from the 50’s, king bed was old and sunk in in the middle, had to use a credit card to use the safe, restaurant staff was rude (asked for a few napkins and waitress said they didn’t have any, but finally gave me a few because I saw the stack on the counter). No housekeeping keeping, blamed Covid but was told they were understaffed and only have two people to clean ~460 rooms.

So sorry to your stay with us did not meet your expectations. Our hotel was built in the 90's and we have updated our furnishings since then. We are planning renovations to all our guest rooms, which will take place over the next few years. Due to supply chain issues, it will take longer than we would like. We have 136 rooms here (not 460) and we do still have policies in place to keep our housekeeping department in limited contact with guests because of COVID. A credit card in not required or charged to access the in room safe. We do appreciate your feedback.

This place, quite literally, stinks. Originally assigned a room on the fourth floor across from the elevator about 9:00PM on our arrival, we couldn't believe how the room and the floor smelled like an old folks home. The clerk moved us to the third floor, and the same pungent stink was significant. In the morning, we went to the front desk clerk who offered to move us -- but the smell would likely be the same. Explaining the horrific aroma, she said they had an "incident" on the 3rd floor - and that they had permanent guests on the fourth floor who caused the smell there. Also, if they remodeled/revised this property in the past couple of years as a manager wrote in a rebuttal to a guest on this site, the work was poor. It seems this hotel hasn't been updated for easily a decade.

Every room we went into smelled the same…horrible, old and musty. This place needs to be gutted and deep cleaned. Staff is very nice but they can’t do anything about the condition of this facility. Location is good, as is the exterior, but we could not get the stink out of the room.
