Shavit Family Guest House was the perfect location for us--central to the Galilee area, and an easy drive to Haifa, Akko, Banias, Nazareth, Zippori. We liked the fact that it was out of the resort areas of Tiberias, yet just a few minutes away from the sights we planned to see. The views of Galilee from the nearby Arbel Cliffs...

Unlike most local establishments, this place is extremely welcoming. The owners greet you with a smile and a warm drink and seem genuinely pleased that you are there. The guest house/restaurant is a gathering place where you can relax, read, and watch the chef in the kitchen. There is a small chocolate cave where you can taste and purchase chocolate...

The restaurant is very good also the breakfast! The owner is a really chef. Unfortunately the room was wery old, inside there was also a bad smell. We choose this guesthouse because the lonely planet guide write "beautiful rooms"...maybe twenty years ago!

The owners were warm, friendly and very accommodating! The location was excellent as a jumping point to the Kineret and points north. Gefan was so accommodating and such a nice guy and had many good pointers about places to see in the area! The rooms were very roomy, comfortable and airy. It was great to walk around the grounds early...

I was traveling alone through Israel and this was one of my stops. I stayed for a few days and made great friends with Gefan! They let me help cook and serve tables and play music for guests! It is located right near an ancient synagogue overlooking the Arbel Valley/ Arbel National Park. The food is all homemade and truly...

Clean rooms with everything I'm looking for: comfortable beds and bedding (inc. plenty of pillows), properly working air conditioning and plumbing (inc. both rainfall and handheld shower heads); drinking glass in the bathroom; plenty of towels and hooks to hang them on; wastebasket that you can actually open when on the toilet (as opposed to invariably broken foot-operated), lovely pool...

We were a couple and two adult children and spent two nights. The rooms were spotless and had everything we needed. The weather was gorgeous and we sat out on the porch at night; we also enjoyed the pool. This was in late October! The only thing missing was a wastebasket in the bedroom. Everything else was perfect.

We (2 + 1) took a room with a balcony, the furniture had its qualities, but very old, the kitchen table was tilted, so round items roll off of it, same for the hooks in the bathroom. Ants everywhere (I had to stick a toilet paper in the holes in the walls). The Jacuzzi is nice and there is hot...

After hiking 16 km on the Jesus Trail my wife and I arrived hot, thirsty, and tired. The reception was very hospitable, the accommodations were good, and the food was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

The outstanding meat dishes served for dinner, the food preparation by "Chef ISRAEL" in front of the diners, the exquisite breakfast, and finally the secret chocolate cellar.
