My husband and I stayed at the Narrow Gauge Inn in between some JMT hiking we were doing. It happened to be my birthday so we ate at the restaurant there and it was amazing. My husband and I still salivate when we think about the butternut squash ravioli and the black cod. The deserts were incredible too, the crepe... More

We really enjoyed our stay at this quaint mountain inn end route to Yosemite. The staff were lovely, the rooms clean and comfortable with nice balconies and good views. Breakfast was very good and it was a shame the restaurant was closed as I expect dinner would have been excellent.

Blink and you will miss it. Tucked away in the trees this little B&B is all you need for a stop over for visiting Yosemite. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed except for breakfast and the bar would have been welcome in the evening but was also seasonal despite the fact the hotel seemed full. Our room was of a good... Your opinion about this hotel will have a LOT to do with your expectations so you may want to read these notes below before booking. Price: We arrived in room 47 the first day of OFF season which started November 1st and got a standard room for $89 per night. In Yosemite Valley the 2 centrally located hotels were $375... More

Room was okay but steep stairs to get to the room. Booked three nights but had to leave a day early due to an Aunt being placed in Hospice and had to rush home. Aunt died the that same evening (24 hours after going into Hospice). Asked if the motel would credit the last day back or at least half... More

A lovely one night stay here on our way to Yosemite Park. A lovely little hotel with excellent dining facilities. You really get the feel you are taking a step into the wilds in this perfectly located hotel. An excellent meal in the Inn's restaurant and waking up to the view into the woods and surrounding mountains were the highlights.... More

We stayed at the Narrow Gauge Inn during a visit to Yosemite. The inn is located about 30 minutes from the Yosemite Valley, but I think all non-Yosemite accommodations are about that far away. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the bathrooms had the necessary amenities. Our room had a balcony with a "forest view" that was mostly close-in... More

This is a quite comfortable Inn with great views of the mountains from the outside deck. The room is a little out of date but is comfortable and clean. The swimming pool and hot tub felt great. Especially since the October weather is a little chilly. The dinning room served us a good meal and the service was good. The... More
