Thoroughly enjoyed this unique and most welcoming hotel in the very Centre of Birgi. A small family run establishment, each room in this smallish mansion (Konak) is individually and tastefully designed with definitely “a woman’s touch” and attention to detail making it feel like “home from home”. Warm and cosy, pretty courtyard and dining room the breakfast was prepared by the owners wife and was delicious. Excellent shower, gorgeous bathroom products and so homely I would recommend it to every discerning visitor. Nothing too much trouble.

We spent three nights in this well restored mansion. The staff and owners were very friendly and helpful and English is spoken. Wonderful breakfast served in the courtyard or, in case of inclement weather, in the dining room. Our room had a large and comfortable terrace, where we could relax, sip tea and enjoy the atmosphere. It is well worth eating here in the evening. Limited menu but very good. Birgi is an historic village which has retained a lot of its old charm.

We stayed one night in Saliha Hanim Tas Konak at Birgi. It was a very pleasant experience within the visit of the old Birgi town. The owners (Mr. Ogun and Mrs Secil) keeps very seriously the autjenticity. The house itself is a registrated historical monument by the ministry of culture. You feel like you are staying in a living museum, full of history and ethnographic values. Newly restored, each room has its own character and history. Your bed sheets are made of local tissues. You have all the room facilities. You may read your book on the divan or taste your free tea/coffee at the courtyard with a good music. The human factor is also a plus: You see smiling faces of the servants everytime. The owners are much more like the friends of your friends. They are very helpfull and very generous. The huge Turkish breakfast is invincible in quality and quantity. The hygenic high standart kitchen has its own specialities for a delicious dinner. I think this the best boutique hotel that I stayed in.

Lovely historic rooms with tradional furniture, all different, plus access to traditional style balcony area. Small modern en suite bathroom. Free tea and coffee all day. Food available in the evenings ; we had tasty cold regional style Turkish vegetables, chips and spicy meat balls, all excellent, served with Turkish red wine in the walled courtyard, in which greenery abounds, and decorated with rustic equipment . The village of birgi is attractive to wander around. Good access to the local high point of Boz Dag, above slopes covered in horse chestnuts. Fast wifi. Breakfast served at 8 am. Parking on street outside.
