Quail Cove was an absolute pleasure! Cabin 2 was, as the title suggests, quiet, clean, and comfortable, and the proprietors (along with Snowy, their friendly Chihuahua) were extremely welcoming and hospitable. Cannot recommend Quail Cove highly enough! It is truly the hidden gem in the Big Bear area... only a few minutes from the center of town, but away from the crowds and noise. If you are looking for a secluded and tranquil getaway, this is your place. Thank you, Grace and Craig, for a terrific stay! Will definitely be back.
This place was absolutely charming ❤️ They were clean, spacious & perfect for the 2 of us and 1 of our 4legged children. We happened to go on just a weird weekend for us and the best pleasure for us the whole weekend was our cabin and accommodations. It was soo cozy. We were able to grill on very clean grills outside, the grounds couldn't have been cleaner and their is a community fire pit which we regret did not use. We will deffinitly rebook with them. Don't forget to love on Snowy ❤️ She is just a love. This place you will not be disappointed and the pictures just do not do it justice.
We stayed in cabin 2, which was very cozy and more secluded than the others. It offered a great view and was comfortable for the two of us. We were only there for one night, but utilized the fire place and the kitchenette for dinner and breakfast. Check in/out was easy and the staff were very friendly. The cabin was very clean. The bed was on the softer side, but not too soft. The wifi wasn't super strong, but it worked well enough for me. It's probably a good idea to call or email ahead of time to give them your arrival time estimate, as it's not a 24/7 manned office. It was easy to find, very close to everything around Big Bear, and we'll definitely stay here again.
Cute as a button and very well appointed cozy cabin. BUT our bedding was so saturated with either fabric softener or some kind of spray it gave both my husband and me headaches and serious sinus issues. Sleep was out of the question. I can only assume that the room had had some "odor" event that needed covering up. Unfortunate. Grace at the front desk was pleasant but seemed baffled when I called back to speak with her concerning this. Our exit was before office hours. I suggested she go to the room and smell for herself. We had slept with the windows open and the ceiling fan on high in hopes of some lessening. As I have not had a reply I am going to assume that this was an acceptable situation.
We recently stayed in cabin 5 which is the largest of the cabins. The cabin is nicely furnished as other reviewers have stated. The bathroom is rather small but not enough to feel cramped. The beds are a Full and a Queen. Looking at the descriptions a Queen is the largest bed they offer in any of the cabins. The location in Fawnskin is removed from the city. It is nice in that it is quiet and that it is only a 10 minute drive to Pine Knott which is the main street in Big Bear. Are only issue was with checking in. This is a husband/wife operation and one of them may not always be present. When we went to check in we found the office unoccupied. There was a sign on the door stating someone would be back in an hour. We left and returned an hour later and were able to check in. I would suggest calling ahead to be sure someone will be present when you want to check in especially if it is not on a Friday or Saturday.…
