We were traveling through Eureka & booked this Inn at the last minute based on reviews. We loved the place the minute we saw it. The owner was awesome to work with & it turned out she was the best cook too. Breakfast was delicious. The landscape around the home was perfection. I would highly recommend this place.

Texas Seniors thanks for your great review. We attract a lot of Texans and they are so friendly and I am so pleased when they really enjoy their stay. More

I fell in love with this house. The house itself is beautiful. My husband and I stayed in the Trillium Suite and we basically had an apartment all to ourselves. My husband is not a fan of B&B's but he really enjoyed this one for 2 reasons. 1-there is no socializing with others in the house. 2- the breakfasts were... More

We stayed in the Trillium Suite. Renee is the perfect host. We sat out in her lovely garden with a great fireplace and sipped wine while finding out all about Eureka. The rooms are clean and nicely appointed. We enjoyed our breakfast.

Great guests like you enjoy the whole property, especially the fireplace in the backyard. Built by my grandfather in 1940's from rocks on the Eel River. near our family ranch for friends to enjoy. More

We stayed in the Trillium Suite for 3 nights. It was like having our own apartment! Plenty of space, sunny, and warm. Breakfast was always fantastic. We enjoyed eating at the table in our room. We even made use of the kitchen one evening. Renee provided us with lots of information for our stay about the local area. Wish we... More

We stayed in the redwood bungalow, which is a detached unit. It was perfect! Quaint little apartment with a kitchen and full fridge, small sitting/living room and bedroom. Unit was bright and clean and in great/newish condition. Breakfast was fantastic as well. The only minus is the location is too far to walk anywhere but the drive to say, old... More

We usually enjoy breakfast with other guests as you can learn so much but in this case breakfast is brought to your room. We had a little bungalow outside the main house which isn't typically what we pick. The room is smaller but you have a little kitchen and eating room so it depends on what you're looking for. In... This is a lovingly restored house about 1.5 miles from downtown Eureka, in a quiet neighborhood. We stayed one night, in the bungalow out back, which is restored with all the comforts of home, including a full kitchen if you were inclined to cook! Renee made us feel most welcome, and prepared a skillet of Apple Brown Betty with fruit... More

Renee was great and I love this type of accommodation with lots of privacy, top-notch amenities and delicious continental style breakfast (we enjoy the sit-around breakfasts at many b&bs but a change is good). We recommend Brick and Fire for dinner and it's just down the street. Old town Eureka is cool and evolving.

The Hydrangea Inn is a wonderful place to stay! Renee, the inn keeper, greeted us warmly and was ready to help us plan our short stay in Eureka. She had maps, brochures, and dining recommendations waiting in a folder for us. She then handed over the key to the bungalow we would be staying in. We walked past blooming hydrangea... More

My husband and I spent 2 nights in the redwood bungalow and couldn't have been happier. The bungalow was immaculate and very cozy. Renee gave us plenty of helpful info on the area (maps, local sites to visit, restaurants to dine at, etc.) and the breakfasts were plentiful and very tasty. I highly recommend staying here!
