We will not return if they are so unprofessional to not only have the reservation incorrect, but more importantly, they made us prove we had a 2 bedroom reservation when they already had the confirmation number...

Stayed for one week in a 2 bedroom villa in the original villas. Check in was smooth, quick and easy, grounds and rooms are clean and well equipped...

...Our Broadway Hill villa had 2 br on the ground floor. It had a spacious layout, but only some parts, like the master bath was updated...

...Check in supposed to be at 4 pm, but room not ready for another 3 hours with no explanation other than the resort being busy (not an excuse!!!)... Room had spiders crawling on the floor, and there were bugs coming out of the sink (🤮)...

...My husband and I were offered a timeshare room stay June 25-28... At the June 26th presentation, the staff was surprised that I was staying in an older room... They were going to have our room changed due to the many issues and upper management was to contact us... We did not buy timeshare and then another room wasn’t available, and nobody has contacted us... Our room was terrible, the toilet ran, dishwasher leaked, knobs in jetted tub missing with mold and did work, sink clogged, slider door stuck... Room was very dirty with wet molded towels in drawers, whip cream in the bedroom, trash under furnishings, plus more...

It did have laundry soap and dish soap in the room... Our room had 2 patio doors, one from the living area and another from the master...

As Welk owner am finding that now that Hyatt has taken over the management and property is not as well maintained and more difficult to use... We needed a 2 bedroom and were given a “lockoff” in the mountain villas, which ended up not being connected rooms, but had a shared foyer which would be accessible by the 2 rooms but also any of the staff - while that would be okay if the second room had been for another couple, it was not okay for the second room that they were aware was for an 8 and 9 year old...

...This shows up in: poorly turned over rooms, garbage literally strewn around the resort, incomplete amenities in the rooms, and a generally unwillingness to be helpful in any way...

Dear Hyatt Vacation Club, I'm currently staying at the Mountain villas at the Welk, which I booked through Interval International... Your property lists 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units, which are villas... We booked 3 rooms for ourselves and family members, and I'm very embarrassed at the condition of this "suite" which I was led to believe was a 1 bedroom villa... Wallpaper is peeling in the bathroom, I'm sitting right now at a table that is full of scratches, that looks like it was purchased at a garage sale, and the mirror in the so-called living room behind me has peeling paint, again garage sale quality... I am dreading when the rest of my family arrives today and tomorrow, if their "suites" are in a similar state...

Dishwasher replacement caused water logged carpet and debris all over the living and dining room... Mess in the room caused US to call for carpet cleaning as there was no follow-up from staff dispatched to the room...

We will not return to the Hyatt Welks resort ... First, it took an hour to check us in... Now it was obvious the front desk gave us a one a 1 bedroom when we reserved a 2 bedroom... Finally, they offer us a 2 bedroom when it should have been already for us... At this point I am not feeling confident with this resort...

I stayed here for an extended weekend through a Hyatt vacation club marketing promo. The weekend stay at a 2 bedroom villa with a balcony was $199 plus 10000 Hyatt points but the catch was that I needed to sit through a sales presentation of their platinum vacation club package... I did like that they did not charge by occupancy but just by the nightly room rate...

...This was one of the worst trips my wife and I have experienced from start to finish... Why would you invite your top tier elite customers, put them in the worst accommodations on the property and expect to sell timeshares?... He was extremely apologetic about the villa we were assigned considering my status and knew instantly he didn’t have a chance in hell of selling us anything...

...It was expensive for us but I decided to shell out the money and spend the only week I get off a year here... Unfortunately, everything we tried to do was sold out, booked up or not available... I am a Hyatt Globalist and was invited to visit this property to “experience the Hyatt difference in vacation club ownership.” Being a Hyatt loyalist and having had nothing but top notch service at Hyatt hotels and resorts, I took the bait and purchased the package with the intent of seriously considering vacation ownership with Hyatt... This was one of the worst trips my wife and I have experienced from start to finish... The Mountain Villa that we were assigned was probably one of the worst on the property and when I called the front desk after seeing it and asked if there was a mistake since I was a Globalist I was bluntly told that it didn’t matter which made no sense... Nevertheless, he had to do his job and take us around the property to show us the amenities and upgraded villas, which were very nice, and will become the standard since Hyatt’s acquisition... When we returned to the sales office he went to get his manager to see what he could do for us in terms of Hyatt points considering the distance we had traveled, the expense incurred and the villa were were assigned, but, of course, he was no place to be found!...

...Incredibly long line to check in (1 hour +) due to understaffing at front desk... Staff the check in desk appropriately... Staff the parking guard shacks (at Mountain Terrace) appropriately... Open the closed access road to the rest of the resort... Staff the pool entrance gates consistently so non paying guests don't crowd them...

...Overall, the check in people was not helpful and Nancy on the phone was rude...

...People kept having to ask the staff to turn the AC up... Blankets were dirty, dishwasher malfunctioned every time, shelves were broken, kitchen was under stocked (we had to call multiple times as we kept realizing there were no sharp knives, no large bowl of any kind, no pitcher etc etc etc), things like the kitchen table booth and the wall furnishings were grimy and literally falling apart... At one point we called for 3 more pillows, they brought 2 and said they couldn’t find another one haha...

House Keeping service entered our Villa without notice, shuffled through our private belongings and took our personal towel sets... Front desk didn't even have the courtesy to ask why we were checking out so early....they simply didn't care!...

...We waited online for over an hour and the line never moved... When I contacted the place we had booked this hotel through, they said they tried numerous times to get in touch with the hotel and they could not get into contact with them... Absolutely horrible customer service... Don't bother staying here unless you want to wait hours just to check into your room...

On the day I was scheduled to check in, Welk resort FALSLEY told me that Interval International had cancelled my reservation and that I could not check in. I called Interval to investigate and was told my reservation had not been cancelled and that management at Welk would be sent proof of the reservation which would take up to 3 hours... I didn’t heard from Welk so about 8 hours later I called Welk again and was, yet again, told I had no reservation and that Welk never received anything from Interval... Then, several more hours later, I received a phone call from Welk saying Welk had figured it out and I did in fact have a reservation - this was about 50 hours after the scheduled check in...

This was one of the best resorts we have ever stayed in... Their housekeeping team needs to be applauded and recognized... Immediate check in with no pressure to attend any "updates", beautiful views from our huge patio with loveseat, and table for 4 right on the golf course...our morning ritual was to sit on the patio with coffee... Their towels were thick and large which I always appreciate... We were there for Thanksgiving week, and I didn't need to bring a thing even though I did because many other properties we have stayed in don't provide that much equipment in the kitchen... Their grocery store onsite was well stock... I had called to see if they had any almond milk and they didn't but said to come down and they would give me a cup of almond milk from their Starbucks coffee center... Now that's great customer service... I needed more than a cup but that was a generous offer... The people are extremely friendly, especially "Bobby" the shuttle driver...yes, the property is that big!... He was very helpful giving us tips and so friendly...

We have visited this resort several times in the past and every stay has been wonderful... The WiFi in this unit was absolutely terrible; we have had better WiFi experience on a cruise ship with WiFi and we are glad there was no charge for it... In addition, it did not do a very good job washing dishes and pots and many times we had to just wash by hand because the dishwasher did not do its job... The resort staff, however, was a joy... They were always friendly and very helpful to provide us with needed additional amenities (soap, detergent, tissue, trash bags)...

Getting your parking pass is at another desk but they wanted to confirm your presentation time and date before you head to your room so that made sense... The villa was very spacious with a full kitchen and washer/dryer two bathrooms and two bedrooms one with a king and one with two queens... The living room also had a sleeper sofa so you could fit a lot of people in the room... Our party was a total of 8 and we all slept comfortably and did not feel crowded at all... They have 2 large pool areas with splash pads and arcades, lots of things for kids to stay busy... They also had a bunch of smaller pools around the resort for just swimming and relaxing...

Plan your trip well in advance and book early. The Welk Resort is family oriented and fills up quickly... We enjoyed swimming (there are several pools), exercising in the gym, taking early morning walks, and taking golf lessons...

A total different crowd comes in and what I think happens is they drive in they’re family and friends to hang out at the pool... They have them and are openly chugging cans of beer and filling cups on wine and liquor... I’d say if you’re looking for a resort stay and you’re set on this place, come during the week...

The Welk is a nice resort away from the hustle and bustle of San Diego and LA... The property is kept up pretty well and they have some amenities like multiple pools, splash pad, water slides, hot tubs, a theater, a few golf courses, fishing pole rentals and bait for $5/per hour, and other fun activities like tie dye, slime making, bingo, and others for an added cost... Our room was the King villa with jacuzzi, we had plenty of hot water to run the jacuzzi while someone showered!... The kitchen was fully stocked with necessities and a few extras... There are plenty of grilling areas with a gas grill, patio set, umbrella, and garbage can... Just make sure to grab your utensils and a clean plate before heading over to grill... I felt like they should have called the rooms, slipped a notice under the door, or even tell us during check in... but NOTHING!... The bed was comfortable, we had no problem getting extra pillows, they had large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower... There was a laundry set in the room but we didn't use it... It did have laundry soap and dish soap in the room... Our room had 2 patio doors, one from the living area and another from the master... It was nice to be able to read and enjoy my coffee in peace, with a nice view of the hills before venturing into the traffic and chaos of the bigger cities... Overall, I am pleased with our stay & would suggest The Welk Villas on the Green to others...

...The spa at the pool area we were nearest to was out of order the entire week. There was a splash pad at a pool in a different area that was also out of order for the week...

...As other reviewers have mentioned, it is an older resort and could use some TLC, but the size of the units and the layout of the resort as a whole is very relaxing... The resort is wonderful if traveling with children as there are several pools and 2 waterparks... The adult pool is great if you want a little quieter pool experience... The restaurant and bar.....we've always enjoyed our meals...

We have come here now for two years and stayed for several weeks each time There is so much to do at the resort with their live theater, entertainment each night in various areas, and the many pools and recreation areas throughout the resort. The grounds are immaculate, and the gardens beautiful... The staff was always very friendly and helpful and housekeeping kept the room very clean and well supplied... I would recommend having car so that you can also enjoy going to local wineries, the zoo and Safari Park and for visiting San Diego...

We live close to the Welk Resort and find it very quiet and rejuvenating... We even bought in to be able to enjoy it on a regular basis... Welk is in close proximity to the San Diego Zoo, Safari Park, Legoland, and many wineries in Temecula...

...It was the perfect place for a family of teens and young adults to hang out. The staff was very accommodating, allowing 10 instead of 8 in the escape room, 5 or 6 to play golf, and allowing us to use the gym for our own yoga... Basketball, beach volleyball, ping pong, soccer golf, frisbee golf were all enjoyed... The resort villas were large enough for all of us to eat a meal together... We had 5 identical units which were clean and very comfy... The staff were quick to respond if we needed more supplies...

...Despite standing in line to make request- they were unable to connect WiFi or make Phone work...

...The rooms are a bit dated but clean... The restaurants were decent for the price and for being on site... I requested a toothbrush and told they don’t offer free toothbrushes but I had to BUY it from their only store on site... But the store didn’t even sell toothbrushes!... Apparently the resort fees don’t even cover tooth brushes... @The Welk, if you’re going to be under the Hyatt brand AND charge $20 in resort fees AND be in an isolated location, it would be very helpful to make sure you stock toothbrushes and tell guests on your website that you charge for toothbrushes, as most guests at a Hyatt would not expect this...

This was one of the best resorts we have ever stayed in... Immediate check in with no pressure to attend any "updates", beautiful views from our huge patio with loveseat, and table for 4 right on the golf course...our morning ritual was to sit on the patio with coffee... Huge 2-bedroom units that were, by far, the best equipped units... They had every kitchen tool you would need, an abundance of mixing bowls, glass baking pans, quality pots and pans...even a potato peeler... Their towels were thick and large which I always appreciate... We were there for Thanksgiving week, and I didn't need to bring a thing even though I did because many other properties we have stayed in don't provide that much equipment in the kitchen... The multiple beautiful pools were heated, multiple activity centers for the kids, wonderful jacuzzies, a large gym, a theater that had productions (for a ticket fee) and scheduled events in the evenings like a Farmer's Market on Mondays, drinks and live music on Tuesdays... Their grocery store onsite was well stock... I had called to see if they had any almond milk and they didn't but said to come down and they would give me a cup of almond milk from their Starbucks coffee center... I needed more than a cup but that was a generous offer... Can't say enough good things about this place... The people are extremely friendly, especially "Bobby" the shuttle driver...yes, the property is that big!... He was very helpful giving us tips and so friendly...

...Their are so many amenities here to keep yourself busy. There is a Farmers Market on certain days to walk, eat and purchase gifts, swimming, adult checkers outdoor, swimming, eateries, arts and crafts, etcetera...

We have visited this resort several times in the past and every stay has been wonderful... The unit was extremely spacious and nicely furnished with comfortable furniture and bedding, and there was a very large balcony that was accessible from the living area and both bedrooms, and the bathrooms are spacious with large showers; so no complaints there except for one exception: the TV in the second bedroom did not work... They were always friendly and very helpful to provide us with needed additional amenities (soap, detergent, tissue, trash bags)... Many of the resort activities that existed before COVID-19 have still not yet returned...

You’re on vacation but I’m the middle of nowhere and all their “attractions” are out of order... No one’s gonna come make your bed or tidy up!... But that’s okay because the walls are paper thin and you can hear everyone on all sides of you at all times... And then ask to read the contract and sample the wares!... With a price tag of free, we got our moneys worth!...

Had a 2 bedroom Resort Villa unit for a week. Large size rooms w/vaulted ceilings being on 2nd floor... Liked the layout of the rooms and having a water/dryer was useful... Love the large dining table next to the kitchen, used it daily... Having the different grouping of room units each having their own Rec Center & Pool area was nice, we explored each one...
