Peace, Organic Gardens, and small wonders. Birds, bees, nature, honey and warm vibes. We are on day 2 of our short trip to Encinitas. As soon as I walked in here yesterday, an immediate calm washed over me and my husband. Everyone was so loving and welcoming. This was a celebratory visit, after reaching a milestone in our pregnancy. The caretakers of the hotel helped us get settled in with a tour, offered ideas on activities on the property and assisted with setting up my 90 min prenatal massage with a specialist. That massage was exquisite! We have foraged for food in their garden, chilled in the lounge chairs and been treated with the most divine ingredients for breakfast and with treats. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Visit the Lavendar room for a larger space and a cute view. Perfect for couples!

My stay at the Inn at Moonlight Beach was beyond perfect. This place felt like my dream home with a beautiful relaxing vibe and high vibrational energy throughout the property. You literally feel different when you’re there. The staff is very accommodating and friendly.
This Inn is a conscious destination and Well Certified. The entire Inn has a water filtration system so you can drink from the tap. They make their own non-toxic soaps and lotions, infuse their own local honey and olive oil, make their own tea, chocolates, dried fruit, and bath salts. They have the most amazing biodynamic garden that you can walk through and even pick your own flowers and herbs.
The space is minimalist, meditative and simple. There's a calming sound machine with ocean waves in my room and a diffuser going with essential oils. There are moon cycle calendars on the walls. I got a meditation kit with crystals and Palo Santo. There's a selenite crystal sphere in the room for cleansing the space and your aura. There are meditation bolsters on the patio, and bath salts in the tub. It was magical. I can't wait to go back!

I loved my stay at The Inn at Moonlight Beach. From the moment I arrived, I started to relax. The common area is a beautiful lounge with a kitchen that has fresh snacks, herbal tea, and more. My suite was fresh and the first thing I noticed was the welcoming bed and the scent of essential oils from the diffuser. There was something about the environment that made me relax right away. I was able to tune out my electronics, relax on the patio, and have a wonderful night's sleep. I also felt very welcomed in this boutique inn. This small property packs a big punch of awesome. The urban gardens are an integral part of the inn. I loved hearing the frogs from the garden. I can't express enough how wonderful this place is.

Part II of my self-care weekend went like this - I needed a getaway, local, earthy, quaint, secluded and preferably near the ocean. Booked a room at the Inn at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas. I cannot describe this place in words. It is Well Certified, read more about it on their website. So many little thoughtful touches the Innkeepers arrange to make your stay magical. Here are a few reasons why I loved my overnight visit besides the fact you are literally just a few blocks from Moonlight Beach:
🌿 Property only has 5 suites. I literally only saw a couple of guest getting out of vehicles in the parking lot.
🌱 Each room has a water and air filtration system.
🌿 Deep soaking tub with only organic bath and body products, candles, herbal bath teas, salts, and fresh flowers.
🌱 In room herbal afternoon tea, fresh ground local coffee, and a small welcome tray of fresh snacks
🌿 Incredible bed linens and great water pressure
🌱Grounds are filled with vegetation, herbs, and flowers including everything from lavender to oregano. Guests are allowed to harvest cuttings, scissors provided in your room.
🌿Oil Diffuser, sound machine, ear plugs, and house made Shea butter lotion samples at your bedside.
🌱Grounds include a firepit, wood, and dried flowers for kindling and a couple of little hidden alcoves to read a book, have a meal, or relax.
🌿Organic breakfast delivered to my door.
🌱Centrally located yet you feel miles & miles away
Upon arrival I was greeted by the Innkeeper who walked me to my room. You can probably imagine how I felt as I turned the key only to find candles were flickering, tea was warming, and treats were waiting. Truly this was memorable very Eat, Pray, Love-ish without uneccesary commercialism.

This is a very special place. Everything here comes together to create a harmonious experience, from the decor, which is soothing & cool, to the plants which are plentiful and green, to the in-room tea which was warm & relaxing. The Inn is simply a great place to slow down.
The complimentary basket of healthy breakfast picks, like green juice and banana bread (and homemade jam & honey) certainly add to the charm. As well as the bottom floor garden units where we stayed (Mint Room) that allowed a cozy morning coffee break. There are tables outside as well where we played cards & had snacks.
The rooms come equipped w/ glasses, plates & cutlery making it easy for us to have meals in our room. The beds are very comfy & the showers (& pressure) we’re also great. The Inn provides towels & other beach items which helped us supplement as we didn’t bring enough for our entire stay. Perhaps the cutest part of the place is that you can plant your own take home succulent garden which my family did on the day we left. Don’t forget to book a massage they are performed onsite in a peaceful atmosphere.

I'm from Encinitas but recently moved away. When given the chance to come visit I was excited to see what options were around and stumbled across this amazing place. Not only is the price much more affordable than some of the oceanfront options up the coast, the style of the hotel and the room itself far exceed what those hotels offer. Every detail in the room was so thoughtfully prepared, from the delicious tea that awaited when we entered to the beautiful bouquets of herbs for the tub. We enjoyed relaxing on the patio with a tea and coffee each morning before going out into the stress of the world. This is truly a unique getaway, and one that has left me thinking of how and when I can return sooner than later.

My family travel quite a bit throughout the year, with kids aging from preschooler to high schooler, I am picky when it comes to choosing a place to stay for the whole family. Moonlight Inn is a place with its uniqueness in style, thoughtfulness from the owner, a clean carpet free studio that accommodates our family needs. The room smelled nice with oil diffuser, nice full kitchen in one of our rooms, the owner provided good quality shampoo and hand soap and we didn’t even use the ones we brought. I do appreciate the complimentary breakfast brought to us in a picnic basket outside the door every morning at 8, very healthy selections. The location is great, walking distance to the nice beach and downtown area with lots of dining selections. There are a few things to mention about, the parking is very limited and we had to park in the slope spot. It is next to the train station, it gets super loud when the train pass by cause it alarms when it gets close to station. But the Inn does provide ear plugs. Overall we did enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to try this place out if you haven’t.

What a magical place! From the moment we arrived on property, the energy felt different, quiet, zen. Our room was gorgeous and there was a beautiful basket of flowers and soaking salts for the bath in a gloriously spacious bathtub! We were greeted with tea and chocolates in the room and afterwards had an herbal foot soak in the tea garden. The biodynamic garden tour was informative and we even got to nibble on some flowers and veggies grown on property. This is not only an amazing place for R&R, it is incredibly educational as well. I organize retreats for a living and I would highly recommend the Inn for your own personal retreat. Can't wait to come back!

Very lovely and relaxing Inn! We were attracted by the fact that the Inn is WELL certified, especially during Covid, and pleasantly surprised by all the little amenities like the welcome tea and snacks, air purifier, large soaking tub, and more. The Innkeeper, Emma, provided a wonderful honey and olive oil tasting in the morning and we went home with several jars. What a wonderful base for exploring Encinitas!

What a wonderful place. Perfect balance of responsible elegance and comfort at the property, while also being a stones throw from all the Encinitas has to offer. We stayed in the Thyme suite and it was prefect for us (two adults and two 12-year-old boys whom we took on a long weekend surf trip). And while we spent most of our time taking advantage of the waves in the area, we also carved out opportunities to harvest some fresh fruit and vegetables from the inn's garden, enjoy the wellness tea and daily healthy breakfast provided at our door, and I had the a truly incredible massage from Komala. It's a special place and we can't wait to go back.
