We came to celebrate our wedding anniversary and booked a “Waves watcher” room. This is actually a little cottage overlooking a cliff and the ocean. The room was very clean and very comfortable, bathroom is huge with deep soaking bath and enormous shower. Every detail was carefully thought through to make for a perfect and work coming stay. Starting with a little carafe with dessert wine with cute glasses and chocolates. Even up to a little basket with Chardonnay from a local winery. All the small touches are there to make you feel welcome and at home. The staff is beyond helpful. Melissa gave us a few tips about the area and she was very accommodating to all our needs and wishes. The Hotel’s food was absolutely delicious and served very nicely. Breakfast was cooked to order and delivered to the room every morning. The dinners were superb ( we dined 2 nights there and ordered different dishes each time. All of them were good). I would recommend this place to my friends and definitely want to come back myself.…

We stayed here this past March, 2022. I don’t normally write reviews. But three months later I’m still thinking about our time there. It was WONDERFUL! We flew out from North Carolina into San Francisco. The drive up the Pacific Coast Highway is beautiful but not easy and quite long. We stayed in the Seascape room in the main mansion. Every detail, from the delicious breakfast brought to your room each morning, the in-room coffee, wine and port service to the charming decor was special. The whole atmosphere was casual and elegant all at the same time. Especially notable was the staff. They were attentive, cheerful and happy. They love what they do and love where they are. Getting to the Inn is not easy and the Inn is pricey. But staying there is worth EVERY mile and EVERY dollar. We can’t wait to go back! Thank you Melissa, Victor and all the staff!!…

The staff and the food was as stunning as the views and the location. It was well kept...friendly....cozy and refreshing. Breakfast was amazing. And served to our rooms! If you are ever in the area it is recommended! Highly Recommend!!!

I can’t recommend this place enough for your next vacation stay. The property is located in a beautiful setting, the ocean is right next to you, you can also hear the waves crashing on the cove from the beautiful setting of some of their rooms. The chef, the staff, the dogs all are absolutely wonderful. Totally worth the value and the drive from the Bay area! We came so energized after our stay there and can’t wait to plan again in the future.

We are frequent visitors to Elk Cove Inn and Spa. We love everything about it! Great beach access and beyond beautiful property, every time I come I wonder where they got all of the wine bottles! Hearty breakfasts delivered to your cottage/room and delicious French inspired dinners everyday except Tues/Wed. Welcoming staff who takes care of anything you need. We haven't taken advantage of the spa yet but will sometime soon. Book one of the cottages if you can, it's great having privacy and spectacular views. You won't regret staying at Elk Cove Inn!

My wife and I spent two Wonderful days at the Elk Cove Inn in Elk CA. I don't even know where to begin. Everything was Perfect! The walk to the beach was barely a couple minutes down from the Inn. Great sights at the beach including little caves. The room had the best view from the Very large picture window. Every little detail was covered in the room. The food is just Fantastic! These people are Amazing! If you need anything And you won't, is my guess, they will be there for you. We will be back! Thank you Everyone at the Elk Cove Inn Mike and Damaris Begandy

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Elk Cove Inn and Spa. We were greeted enthusiastically by the innkeeper. We had a lovely room with a comfortable ambience. The surrounding gardens were well manicured, and beautiful. The location was serene and provided an awesome view of the ocean. The breakfast was enjoyed on the porch outside of our room. It was served hot and was quite delicious. The chef is also the owner of the bed-and-breakfast. We highly recommend this establishment if you are passing through Elk, California.

As frequent visitors to the Elkcove Inn over the last 20 years we’ve seen changes of ownership and programs as well as numerous renovations and upgrades. Like everyone they’ve had to adapt to the Covid situation and have actually used this as an opportunity to make further improvements especially to the rooms. What hasn’t changed is the magnificent beachfront location among the most beautiful on earth, friendly service and attention to detail, culinary delights morning and night, and the most amazing spa experience ever. From the ambience, music, beverages and snacks provided, reading library, heated blankets on massage table top quality skin products everything natural, homemade kombucha, perfect size temperature and functioning steam room and sauna made for couples and — last but not least— massage experience by Kaja which is simply out of this world with the highest degree of technical proficiency. I discovered muscles that I didn’t even know I had! In summary this is the premier Inn & Spa on the West Coast for so many reasons and we’re already looking forward to returning in a few months for our next stay!…

This place was 5 star al the way from the room which was very well appointed and thought of our every need to the hot breakfast delivered to your room which was included in the price, nothing could have been more perfect.
