The room was adequate. Looking tired but clean and spacious. The beauty of this place is the location. Stunning views and a short distance from the park. Had a really good meal in the restaurant. Relaxing by the pool after a day's walking around Yosemite is also great. Would recommend.

Stayed outside the park at the Lodge during our visit to Yosemite National Park. The location was great - away from the crowds in the Valley but only a short drive to the Park entrance. The staff were very helpful. Our room was great - had a balcony with a view of the Merced River. A pleasure to sit and... More

My wife, My daughter and I stayed here for four nights in late September and were pleasantly surprised. Some of the reviews that we read were pretty cruel and we almost did not book here as a result but were glad that we did ! We booked a first floor room with a large patio right on the river .... We stayed at the Yosemite View Lodge for 2 nights while visiting Yosemite. The Lodge is the closest available hotel outside of the park. Given this fact, we expected higher prices and less amenities. The price was high but we were pleasantly surprised by the facility. While a large "campus" of buildings with many rooms, the individual buildings were easy... More

I wouldn't stay here again. Though they are located right next to Yosemite park entrance, I'd rather save (a lot of!) money and get much better service in one of the hotels at the nearby towns. The good: Really close (10 min drive) to Yosemite park entrance. The bad: Woke up at night feeling a tickling sensation to find a... More

You need a car to stay at the Yosemite View Lodge. Don't confuse it with the Yosemite Lodge (as we did), the View Lodge isn't in the National Park at all, it's 11 miles away in El Portal which means a 20 min drive every time you want to do anything in Yosemite Valley. Having said that, the View Lodge... More

I stayed here on my recent trip to Yosemite. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Rooms were not luxurious but they were clean and adequate. The pizza restaurant on site was good the restaurant breakfast buffet was overpriced, horrible quality, and poor service. The grocery store in hotel is well stocked. The location is great if you cannot get... More

As part of our trip from Vegas to San Francisco we stopped at YVL and spent 3 nights there. What can I say? It was really superb! The hotel is situated in a extremely quite area, the rooms are spacious and the view at the river and the mountains was just astonishing!!! We had a kitchen in our room, so... More

Having read many, many reviews of this hotel our expectations weren't that high and as a result we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to check in for our 1 night stay in the middle of August. We were 40 mins early and though they hadn't got a room available we were able to leave our suitcases with the reception... More

Probably the best property closest to the park. Clean, well appointed and our room was located right on the river with a large balcony. But the room needed updating. No comfy comforters like most of the hotels today. Still had an old fashioned bedspread. Air conditioner wasn't working properly, so sleeping was a problem for us. Others in our group... More
