The hotel is located just outside the southwestern entrance to Yosemite National Park. If I'm not mistaken, it is the hotel/motel that is closest to that entrance. It is huge, with probably hundreds of units, and is fairly old. There is a very good restaurant on the property (you cannot charge meals to your room), as well a small pizza... More

Spent an overnight stop here while doing a quick trip of Yosemite. Only disapoointment was we arrived late afternoon and loved the place so much we wished we had come in earlier. The accommodation is good but the location is fantastic. We sat on the balcony sipping wine watching the sun set over the valley. The river just beside the... More

Needs money spent on it - lots of money. Location is fine; about 3 miles outside the Park but that's about all it has going for it. Rooms are jaded with fittings & equipment clearly not upgraded since 1980's ( or even 70's). TVs are cheap Chinese models which rarely function well and have only 5-6 channels. Our room had... More

Very disappointed. Stayed one night because of it's close proximity to Yosemite. Paid over $200 for a river view room. The room was poorly cleaned. There were crumbs on the carpet in front of the kitchenette and crumbs all around the microwave. I don't see how the maid could have missed the wet carpet outside of the bathroom adjacent to... Stayed here for 1 night as part of a 2 week, 12 hotel roadtrip around California/ Nevada/ Utah/ Arizona. Chose this hotel for its location, ie 1 mile from the entrance gate to Yosemite, and about 10- 15 mins, 5 miles from the main Yosemite village drive/ view. Plus points include -Location, ie 1 mile from the entrance gate to... More

The room was clean, bathroom immaculate, comfy bed and lovely river view. The front desk staff needs training or refresher course in how to speak to guests. Although the young man checking us in was quite nice and accommodating, it was not so for our traveling companions. Then, on a second experience, different staff member, when asking about the ability... More

We stayed for 2 nights. This is a very busy place that is very basic and serves it's purpose. Staff were average and not particularly friendly or welcoming. Our room was average. Highlight of this place is the proximity to Yosemite, 5 minutes to the gate. Next time we would book earlier to secure accommodation at The Majestic.

Not only was the customer service at this resort very poor, everyone acted beyond grouchy with customers... but we left our $1,000 camera sitting on the bed (covered by the bedspread we believe) and checked out to drive into Yosemite. We called less than 10 minutes up the road (at about 8 in the morning) and explained to the gal... More

Great River View - Easy drive to Yosemite. Rooms have a kitchen, didn't use it, ate daily breakfasts at their buffet. So nice to relax after a long day on our private patio with a bottle of wine, watching the river flow.

My husband, my two year old daughter and I stayed here as part of our anniversary celebration. It was very near Yosemite National Park. The room did not disappoint. It was a corner room and very spacious. It has cooking facilities and a big jacuzzi. I like the space because our daughter had room to play and move around. It... More
