Four seasons Palo Alto has weaned me off my addiction to loyalty points by providing an excellent combination of service, luxury and fun that is just not available even at the best hotels of competing chains with popular loyalty programs. Prior to visiting four seasons, I would optimize my business and personal trips based on loyalty points and status but now I am free and I choose only the best. Sometimes this means four seasons and sometimes it is something else but usually if a town has a four seasons, I give it a serious consideration based the amazing experience I had here in Palo Alto.
Spent a weekend here for my niece’s wedding. Really loved the room and the staff was excellent. Front desk helped me get a sandwich after a really late arrival. Hostess at the restaurant helped me get a vase for brides bouquet.
The fake and careless front desk staff, rooms next to the highway, couldn't sleep all night, rundown rooms, fitness, dirty carpets and awful breakfast. We cancelled our stay of three nights and left after one night stay.
This hotel is clearly a business hotel, which for the area is understandable, however when my coworker showed me a $900.00 a night room, I was shocked how plain and dull it was, I’ve seen nicer rooms at a $200 a night Hyatt or Westin, definitely not worth the elevated pricing.
Where do I start? Suffer zombies roaming around the property…. That’s the staff. They are polite but seems heavily drugged. The front desk person had no clue that a major event was taking place at the hotel that night. He had to look it up and asked me to explain the name of the group. The rooms are run down with shameful furnishings not worthy of even the worst Sheraton. The breakfast was an utter disgrace. I asked for tomato and onion salad. The server brought dirty leaves with two slices of tomato that must have been sliced two days before it was served. I can keep going. The funniest thing was the pricing of the rooms. George V is less expensive… by far. Well … this is a big blow to Isadore Sharp.
A solid business hotel at Four Seasons prices. Nothing really feels like it was built to the Four Seasons standard: 1- sound insulation between rooms is horrible, you can hear your neighbors talk on the phone 2- exterior and hallway sound insulation is poor as well 3- room and building finishes are more like a Westin. Which is perfectly fine, just not what you would expect at a Four Seasons. 4- no room service whatsoever between 10pm-6am: asked for a pot of coffee at 5am and was told by operator that I could pick up my own coffee on the 3rd floor. 5- room service options and quality is ok but priced at four seasons prices. 6- dinner menu at 9:30pm with no late night menu whatsoever? So all in all, nothing major went wrong during my stay, but know what to expect! There are much better price-to-quality options in the area, whether you want to go for a more affordable but equal experience or pay more for a better experience, this hotel just has the ratio wrong.…
The heat pump broke in the middle of the night, room was freezing at 3:00 a.m. in the morning, call to the front desk they send the engineer, he verified, they gave me a new room but no courtesy for any compensation for this inconvenience, very bad experience, this was my first day because I heard great reviews about them, but did not have a great experience in person
What else would you/should you expect from Four Seasons. The service was excellent, the room was always clean, the space nice. I think every room should have soaking tub! I didn't give it 5 stars because the gym is kinda small and I thought that the menu could use a little refresh - the food wasn't bad, it just wasn't great.
Not sure the rooms even meet Westin standards; certainly not Four Seasons. The last straw was a toasted ham and cheese sandwich order. It took three calls and 35 minutes to figure out if they could make one. That’s right. Not make and deliver. Just to answer the question. I went with Uber Eats. In a Four Seasons Hotel. Go figure.
Great stay, no complaints - Avalon at the front desk provided excellent warm friendly service. Rooms were great - no complaints there. WiFi and other parking services etc were also as expected. Hotel was located off the highway but rooms were sound-proof.
