The Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley is a great choice for anyone wanting to stay near Palo Alto / Stanford at a place with excellent service that can meet all of their hospitality needs. The service is really the standout here. Despite the COVID timing, and (I would guess) relative understaffing, nothing about the warm, professional and anticipatory service you expect from Four Seasons properties was missing. Any requests made over the phone or through the app were fulfilled quickly and with a smile. In-room dining was was presented well and check-in (including temperature check for COVID) and check out were a breeze. We were in a Deluxe FS Executive Suite and thought the room had a great layout, with a sliding glass door separating the bedroom from the living room. The bed was comfortable, the room could be made very dark for bedtime and the bathroom was elegant with a large soaking tub. Our room had a courtyard view which I would highly recommend above the "city" views. Aspects of the room were a little worn (e.g. some marks on the desk, the cords were worn out on the TV in the bathroom), but the furniture was comfortable and the desk setup was a great place to get work done. Also our room had two massive TVs and a smaller one in the bathroom, and very fast wifi -- so would be a great place for a work staycation also. We had in-room dining for two meals (that was all that was available at the time due to COVID) and both meals were excellent. We have been to the FS restaurant Quattro a number of times and have always been impressed with the selection and quality of the dishes. The other facilities are great as well -- they were renovating the gym while we were there this time so they had created an outdoor fitness "cabana" by the pool which was a beautiful spot for a quick cardio workout. There are apparently options to have workout equipment in your room, but we did not take advantage of them while we were there. My constructive feedback is actually more centered on the hotel build itself. Many of the rooms have views across the 101 towards East Palo Alto, which are pretty unremarkable. It is the same view you are greeted with when you exit the elevators to go to your room. I am not sure why they positioned the hotel to look across the highway like that. The best point of comparison is the Rosewood Sand Hill which was built out more like a resort with two-story buildings so the road (the 280 in this case) actually disappears and provides some pleasant, ambient noise, rather than being an eyesore. Beyond the view, the hotel is conveniently located near the highway so it a great home base if you are going down to Mountain View or up towards SF. It is not particularly close to Stanford relative to other hotels in the area, and it is an easy drive (but not easily walkable) to downtown Palo Alto. If you want to stay at a luxury hotel in Palo Alto / Menlo Park you have limited options: Four Seasons, Rosewood, The Clement, Nobu. I don't think there is an obvious choice as each has unique strengths and weaknesses. The hard product is better at Rosewood, the location is better at Nobu and The Clement provides a really unique experience with its all-inclusive, suite-only structure, though I would describe the service as less sophisticated than Four Seasons. At the end of the day, if I were to choose Four Seasons it would be for its service and its comprehensive offerings (variety of room types, great food, comprehensive spa, pool and fitness center etc.).

Best Hotel!! The hotel is just amazing and I couldn't thank Peter & Richard enough for having me at their hotel. The location is amazing in Palo Alto and you're close enough to San Francisco City is to drive back & forth. The service here is top notch! The front desk was outstanding, they are very hospitable. The Front office team headed by David, Jackie & Jessie are warm and friendly and ensure that you feel safe and at home during your stay. The rooms are very clean and house keeping team very professional. The rooms are neatly appointed and very spacious with windows for the warm and natural California sun to shin in! Chef Morelli is an extremely talented & creative person who creates delicious food that leave the guests with wanting more! It was undeniably a comfortable and unforgettable experience. I feel safe, I feel that I am well taken care of and I feel I am part of their family. I want to thank once again Peter & Richard, the support staff, the housekeeping, the security and the amazing front desk personnels for all the hard work that you did for me and the other guests.

Our family recently stayed overnight at Four Seasons Palo Alto a few days after it re opened. We had a wonderful visit and their protocol for cleaning and maintaining a safe environment, yet still delivering on their well-known standard of service was top notch. Our children enjoyed the reserved times we had at the pool and my wife and I enjoyed interacting with all members of the FS team. Highly recommend to all locals looking for a quick, easy and safe getaway.

We went to the Restaurant to celebrate Grand Daughter's Performance at the School Play of Lion King. Told the Matre D that this is special occasion and they agreed to gring special Celebratory Dessert for her with Candle. Food was excellent. We had the Steak, Egg plant Parmisan and children food. We had a corner table specailly suited for privacy and our celebration. Wine was very good. We had Cabernet for the Steak and Pinot Grigio for the Parmesan. The Celebration Dessert was made real special, with small cakes. To top it off, the staff gave special attention as we were a group of Regulars there.
