Friendly, attentive service, spotless rooms. Nothing fancy, just nice lodging at a great price. Very convenient to Dunsmuir restaurants and Ted Fay Fly Shop. Train noise, a common problem in and around Dunsmuir, was almost nonexistent. Continental breakfast was pretty spartan, but two very good places are nearby if you need more.

We were making a quick dash to California from Idaho and needed a place to stay as a stopover. Dunsmuir was the logical stopping point as far as distance, but I was concerned that we wouldn't find a suitable place to stay (I admit it - I'm a hotel snob, and I don't mind paying for quality). After agonizing over... More

Our room was comfortable, spotlessly clean, well appointed with quality finishing from the comfy bed to the flatscreen Tv, micro and fridge. We love the quaint exterior in line with the very quaint Dunsmuir town. It was scorching hot when we arrived and the AC worked fantastic. Wifi worked well. The very simple breakfast was adequate. Location was great a... More

Found this motel with the help of Trip Advisor and our needs were met. Budget friendly, neat and clean, and coffee and pastries in the morning and we were happy. The sounds of the train were amazing at night.

Stopped here for a quick night on our way from Portland to LA. Family owned by very kind people. Extremely clean motel with flowers out front. A sparse continental breakfast is served along a little counter which included yogurt, pastries, Cheerios, juices, coffee, and tea. Although we usually stay in bigger, nicer places, we were pleasantly surprised by this little... More

The property was nicely maintained; the owner was very nice and helpful; the room was very clean, comfortable, and quiet; continental breakfast in the lobby, microwave, and mini fridge in the room; walking distance to a small downtown area with several restaurants - this hotel is right off the highway BUT there is no noise from the highway - easy... We spent 2 nights and everything was great. The people running the hotel where wonderful and very accommodating. The hotel was spotless and everything worked. Great place, location is perfect. It is also a great value. It is priced under $100 per night.

We were coming off 8 days on the Pacific Crest trail and rented 3 rooms for the night, 5 people total. Not fancy but clean, comfortable, well located and has everything you need under the circumstances. And the low price included a continental breakfast. We had a mix-up with booking price which they corrected rapidly. A good place to stay... More

Took my 10 yr old nephew on a long road trip starting in Portland. Dunsmuir was a stop on the way to Mt Shasta, Crater Lake, etc. after many miles of hiking so we wanted a comfortable, convenient place to stay. Great little find! Nice to support a family owned business, too. Minutes from Mt Shasta. Enjoyed it. Town is... More
