Eric the owner, was kind, and super accommodating- I was nearly stranded with my Vrbo having cancelled on me last minute, and traveling with a fully electric car and 4 children, we were rolling the dice with each place that we had found that we could have stopped at before we ran out of juice. SO fortunate for us that The Dunmuir lodge had an opening on a packed weekend, and we couldn't have asked for more. The room was comfortable with beds that we all slept well in, a mini fridge, wi-fi, bathroom and dining area, with a lovely tea/coffeepot and add -ins ready for us in the am. Cable movies kept my kids busy before we crashed for the night, while Eric's last-minute food options calmed my kids rumbling stomachs, and our car was fully charged and ready when we woke up in the morning. It was literally and figuratively a brand new day. I would highly recommend this location to stay, it is quiet and peaceful, and Eric let my kids play with his cute dog and cat.…
Nice rustic homey comfortable rooms. Refrigerator and microwave. Ceiling fan and a great shower with lot’s of hot water. You will enjoy your stay Nice homey comfortable rooms. Very comfortable bed. Ice machine
Wish I would have had the opportunity to stay here. The lodge was recommended to me by a co-worker and I had reserved a weekend stay to celebrate my birthday. I was very excited to go when the day before the trip our home sewer pipe burst. I called the lodge immediately and explained the situation stating we would not be able to make our trip given the circumstances. I was told they have a 3 day cancellation policy and would be charging me for the stay regardless. I asked if there could be any leniency should they rent the room and was told no. The next day a very rude man called me and stated he must have my 3 digit code on the back of my credit card in order to charge me for the stay. I gave it to him only because I was up to my ears in sewage (literally). So, they got my $200 plus whatever they rented the room for that weekend. I understand policies are in place for a reason but taking money from someone just to take it is awful. I learned a big lesson about not going off of a co-workers recommendation - will look elsewhere in the Dunsmuir area when I get the opportunity to explore the beautiful area.…
We chose this one for it's location and price. We were attending the State of Jefferson Brewfest which was exceptional by the way. The room was very comfortable and the area around the motel was really nice. We would gladly stay there again!
This motel is a gem! I stayed two nights and it was very quiet and clean. The bed was so comfortable and the people at the front desk were really friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here next time I'm in Dunsmuir.
We had prebooked for 1 night on a road trip, and it turned out to be a great choice! Looks like a simple good old American motel but the room was excellent with a King bed, A/C, ceiling fan, table and chairs, and always important: a coffee maker with loads of creamers, even different flavors, a rarity especially in upscale hotels these days! The bathroom had a decent shower including shampoo and condish. No restaurant but in the morning there was the ”Get Up & Go” mobile espresso and breakfast items stand outside. And: there’s 2 Tesla chargers! When we parked at our room, a guy came running up to tell us about that: turned out to be the Owner, so nice! Charged overnight and on our way we go! Need a stay in Dunsmuir? Recommending the Lodge!
We chose the Dunsmuir Lodge because it is pet friendly. The grounds were perfect for walking my dog. The room was very clean and served our needs for our 4 night stay. It had a mini fridge and coffee maker but you have to use the microwave in the office. The staff was very nice and helpful. It was nice and quiet too. You can't beat the rates either. I definitely recommend this place.
Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Just wish there was somewhere to plug my phone charger in without having to unplug a lamp. It made it difficult to have devices charged for the next days drive.
We were driving to Oakland, CA from Seattle and wanted an overnight place to stay for the trip. We booked this place online and LOVED it. You absolutely cannot beat the price. The owners have bought a vintage motel and upgraded it. It is very clean, has a great bed with nice bedding, free wifi, and a TV. What more can you want? Since ours was just an overnight stay we picked an economy room which was perfectly fine. The owner is nice, and very helpful. The place is just South of the town of Dunsmuir on the outskirts of town so very quiet. We drove into town for a nice dinner outside at the brew pub. We highly recommend this place!
What a cute and inviting motor court. Newly renovated. Friendly. Clean and comfortable. Pillow top mattress. Fridge and coffee maker in the room. We loved staying here. We loved the little town. I would recommend this lodge to all. Only complaint is the water pressure. This lodge made me want to own my own lodge in a great little town like this one.
