Sleep in a Caboose....Eat on the Train. More than a place to lay your head; it's a step back into railroad history while enjoying modern comforts. Breathe in the pine-fresh air and relax beneath the beauty of Castle Crags. An adventure awaits you. Chose an authentic caboose, rustic cabin or the RV park and campground. Pets are welcome and a walk around Murphy's Pond is just the ticket for travel weary legs. Dine in the historic Wells Fargo or Pullman Car. Sip your favorite cocktail surrounded by railroad memorabilia. Ah!

What an amazing place! Sleeping in retired railcars, fresh mountain air, babbling brook, and so much more. The rooms were clean, comfortable beds, very friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone. They even have cabins for those aren't able to get into the cars.

We had a wonderful stay. The caboose was clean and surprisingly spacious. We were traveling with two young kids and they loved the place. The pool was fenced in, so the park is very safe as well and the restaurant train provided us with an excellent breakfast option. We can definitely recommend the Railroad Park Resort!

We had a wonderful time at Railroad Park Resort. We were there in mid-March so the water was off (because the pipes freeze) but there was one site with deep pipes that we could hook up to. Our little trailer was snug in the woods even when the snow came. It was just a few inches and made everything prettier. Fortunately we headed home on I5 South so we didn't have to have chains. The workers at the campground were super nice & friendly, and the dining car restaurant had delicious food. We enjoyed going to the Falls nearby and the cute downtowns.

We loved this place. First, we got to sleep in a real refurbished caboose! The whole resort is railroad themed. The beautiful dining cars, an old locomative and lots of old cabooses. The managers, Jonathan and Annie, are reaally special. Our Amtrak train arrived and departed in Dunsmuir about 5 am. Jonathan was there to pick us up and take us back. Their grounds are clean and fun with a creek running through it and views of mountains. The whole area (Mt. Shasta, etc.) has beautiful lakes, mountains, waterfalls, and historic towns. Thank you again, Jonathan, Annie and all of the staff for a wonderful visit. Margo and Carl Dailey, Sulphur, LA.

My husband and I found this place while traveling north through California to Washington. It's off the beaten path with wonderful mountain views and near Lake Shasta. You get to stay in an actual train car. Ours was #1. It is really roomy with a king bed, and twin bed, sitting area, mini fridge, microwave, and large bathroom with a claw foot soaker tub. Also has flat screenTV, and cupola seating where you can climb up and look out.It also has a train car restaurant and bar with great food and drink. A large enclosed fire place added to the ambiance. There is an unground pool and jacuzzi. The pool was closed for the season but the jacuzzi was hot and ready to go. My kids are grown but when I have grandkids we will stop here again.
