My travel to Palm Springs was unfortunately at the onset of the coronavirus panic, so obviously, all emotions were more heightened and hotel occupancy was reduced. However, even with the panic and vacancy, somehow I was in a room which was in the far corner of the hotel and on the top floor when there were plenty of empty rooms on the 1st and 2nd floor closer to an entrance/exit. Fortunately, the room was always clean and very chic. In terms of amenities, I wasn't very impressed and not sure I would classify it as a mineral water spa. Options for massage/relaxation services seemed limited and very pricey. The pool and indoor spa were open 24hr, which was neat, and hotel staff extremely helpful. There is no onsite fitness center, and the affiliated gym was about 3-4miles away, and required you have a car to get to. Getting to Palm Springs always requires a 30min bus ride or 10 mile drive, but fortunately there are some close by restaurant chains and grocery stores. Overall, an average rating for a place marketed as a hotel/spa.

Aqua soliel was the absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed in The rooms were not worth the price. The staff was rude and the pool does not have mineral waters at all. They completely misrepresented themselves Plus their restaurant is barely open and they are way overpriced. They cheated me out of money by double charging me as I paid cash upon checking out but they still ran my credit card and refused to admit their mistake after I had witnesses that saw me pay cash as well as a receipt They are thieves. My advice is stay far far away from them

Response from Tracy Ward, Guest Services / Front Office at Aqua Soleil Hotel & Mineral Water Spa
Responded 3 weeks ago
Hello Caron, Your original review was addressed in 2017 during which you made your claims. To date our views have not changed and below we have added the original response from your first review: 9/15/2017 Hi, Caron. We are in the process of studying the Front Desk video surveillance footage of your checkout. We are not through with that process yet and will add to this reply when that review is complete for the sake of clarification. ----------------------- Updated 09-15-2017 Our management team has completed the review of the video surveillance footage of your checkout at our Front Desk. Here is what we saw: 1. At no time did any cash change hands during the checkout process. 2. At no time did you tell the Front Desk agent that you wanted to pay cash for your stay. 3. You are seen pulling out your wallet from which you pulled out your credit card. Our Front Desk agent asked you if you wanted to pay with the card on file (presented to us during your check-in) and you said yes. She then tells you that she doesn't need to see it because we already have it on file. 4. You ask our Front Desk agent to write the total for both rooms on one side of one of the folios so that you could put the money in your bank account. 5. Our Front Desk agent goes over the charges on the folios for both of your rooms and there is no indication from you of any disagreement. 6. You then sign both of the folios for each room giving us your written approval of the charges you were presented. 7. You then asked about the security deposit of $50 that was authorized against your card when you checked in (which is our standard check-in procedure), as you were heading toward the door, which you were told you would be given back. Our records also indicate that we charged your card for both rooms immediately upon your checkout, not 3 days afterwards, as you claim. The folios that you signed after our agent went over them with you clearly show the charges therein were paid for on your card thereby resulting in a $0 balance due. Again, there was no indication of any objection by you about the charges being charged to your card. The two charges on your card are 1 each for the 2 rooms you occupied. This is not a double charge error. You owed us for both of the rooms you occupied during your stay and the both incurred charges equal to one another, hence, two charges to your card in the same amount. Just to cover this base as well, if you had paid cash at any other time for your stay before your checkout, why didn't you tell our Front Desk agent that during the checkout process? The conversation that took place during your checkout unmistakably implies that no payment, cash or otherwise, had been made by you prior to your checkout. It's a shame that we have to respond in such detail about this matter, but you have falsely accused us of a crime in a very clear and obvious attempt to perpetuate an act of fraud against us, even stooping so grotesquely low as to cavalierly accuse our staff of pocketing this mysterious and elusive "cash" that no one ever saw.

Stayed one night. Was alarmed by security guards by pool and general sketchiness of property, then got bit by bed bugs. Ended up moving to Hilton in Rancho Mirage which was clean, nice area, friendly staff.

Hotel staff is great. Rooms are modestly decorated, comfortable and clean. Hotel is smoke free, but one may smoke in the parking lot. They offer free parking and WiFi. There is a nice size pool and several spas to ease the aches of a long day. Amenities include a refrigerator, flat screen TV, hair dryer, coffee maker and toiletries. No continental breakfast, but there are several strip malls with fast food restaurants just a block or so away. We stayed 3 times in February.

Very recently remodeled inside and out. New plaster and paint on the outside along with newer plants and landscaping. No restaurant or complimentry morning breakfast. They do have hot coffee and tea in the AM. We selected one of the celeberty rooms. The king bed was very comfortable but the pillows; even though large, were not to my liking and I forgot to bring my own pillow as I usually do. The bathroom fan was very noisy but the fixtures were all new along with newly tiled shower. We did notice that the walls were not insulated very well and you could hear people talking and moving items across the floor above us. There was no table between the chairs in our room nor was there any form of desk so if you decided to fix yourself a snack you had to sit on the bed to eat. There was a small frig and microwave and tiny area to prepare food. Be sure and bring the necessary items you may need, i.e., spoon, bowl, glasses, etc. We stayed four nights in late February during the week and our total bill including taxes was $450. We were impressed!! Also, the mineral spas (two) and pool were very nice and kept well maintained. Our only bad experience was when a young couple brought a baby under one year old into the pool with a Pampers diaper. The child was screaming at the top of it's voice!! That's when we decided it was time to go in.
