We ended a week spent camping at Joshua Tree with a "splurge" staying at Desert Hot Springs Spa Hotel. The rate was reasonable, perhaps as we were there midweek, and we very much appreciated they now allow dogs (at no extra charge). We'd not have stayed there if there had not been an pet-friendly option. Our room 225 was a... More

Your review will be shared with the maintenance staff and the minor issues should be resolved soon. Thanks again for your feedback. If you want to stay in a really cool MadMen-esque type environment with nice staff and well maintained mineral hot springs, mingle with locals and families from the area as well as non-snobby other tourists, eat inexpensive diner food, maybe enjoy some cover bands and watch the sunset while you sit in a nice warm bath, this is the place... What a clean and relaxing place to be in the healing waters. I highly recommend for a few nights to stay here. The food is great in the cafe and the service is good also. The rooms are very clean and the bed is comfortable. The healing waters of the 5 different pools are open all the time. The minerals... More

I have come to this place before. I like the hot water pools and supposely time to relax in a family ambiance. Now the place seems to accept pets and if you do not mind the dog barking while trying to take a nap is fine. The kids will be kids and we put up we the noise, But I... More

Thanks for your review. I agree with you, if you're not seeking a spa retreat then our hotel is probably not the right choice. The concept of spa hotels is to spend a relaxing weekend spent immersed in a simpler era. The DHS Spa Hotel was recently voted 'Best Spa of the Coachella Valley'. Yes, we are extremely family friendly... More

This is a rather large facility with 7 hot spring pools, a large warm swimming pool, a restaurant, several ballroom/meeting rooms, coin operated laundry, and 2 wings of rooms. However, it is showing its age. The ceiling tiles in my room were stained and falling down, but the front desk sent someone to repair them right away. Everything is just... More

Thank you for the review. Miracle Springs is a leading resort in Desert Hot Springs and our award-winning restaurant, Capri, is a popular choice for international guests and the local community. We apologize for the restaurant staff not meeting your expectations on this occasion. We all strive for excellence -- however, we all make mistakes. The issues have been addressed... More

After a long drive the day before, I was thrilled to spend a few hours in the pools at this property. Since it opens at 8am and I had to be back on the road soon thereafter, this was the perfect time to be there! There were only a few of us in the pools and it was very peaceful.... More

Stayed here on the first stop of our visit to the USA. What an amazing place. We managed to get a room right in front of the pools of which there were seven. It was really hot when we arrived here and our room wasn't quite ready so we went straight into the pool for a swim. Some of the... More

We have stayed here many times and have always enjoyed ourselves. Upon arrival this time, they had mixed our reservations with another guest. Even our credit card was on their itinerary. That was disturbing to say the least. This time they had renovated the rooms a little. They have painted the entire room, added an accent wall and painted a... More

Thanks for your positive review. We're glad you enjoyed your stay. As you may know, we have security until the early hours of the morning monitoring the grounds and noise levels. Management will address how security staff can do a better job. One of the major draws for our oasis is the fact that the pools are open 24 hours... More

I've been going to DHS Spa a Hotel for years but always stayed someplace else. I've been missing the best part, after dark when the pools are deserted is magical. The desert breeze in the palms and the glowing pools make you sleepy, but a dip in the big pool resets you for more hot water. The rooms are wonderfully... More

We stopped in to this place while we were camping at Joshua Tree. Since we're used to roughing it, we weren't expecting too much, so we were not disappointed. If I was expecting luxury spa accommodations, I would be pretty bummed. The changing areas and locker room feel just like a public pool's locker room, with rubber mats and a... More
