From the moment we arrived on the front drive, to the day we departed, the warm and welcoming staff provided a level of attentive, yet non-obtrusive service that was amazing! Felt like a family member coming home for the holidays... Everyone made sure the experience was perfect - and was willing to go the extra step to make it happen! The food and beverage is top shelf and very creatively prepared and presented - and there's something for everyone... We loved our stay and can't wait to get back for another visit soon... to our new and "more luxurious" home away from home!

Contrary to the location, this hotel isn't necessarily the best for couples in regards to service and amenities. 2 reasons: 1.) the main door is not very soundproof so you can hear a lot of noise from the hallway such as doors closing. I'd imagine it works both ways and people in the hallway would be able to hear noises coming from your room. 2.) We came here for our honeymoon and all we got was a, "congrats!" There were no complimentary room upgrade or service offered of any kind. It would have been nice to get free valet parking or resort fee waived.

Good experience overall, but hotel value vs other luxury properties isnt great. Little personalized attention, disjointed arrival experience, and expensive even though facility limited due to covid. Location is great, just not a top tier resort / luxury experience, but priced like one.

Unfortunately underwhelmed! After waiting 9+ years to come back and experience this property again, I hate to say it was not worth the wait. There were multiple instances that occurred and some never addressed at all during our 6-night stay. We were celebrating both mine and my mothers birthday, this one being the big 60! Instead of being in the Caribbean where we originally planned, we rerouted to L'Auberge as a second best due to COVID. Coming from the hospitality and hotel industry myself, my feedback comes out of passion for customer service and appreciation for the amazing staff members that we did encounter. Upon arrival we noticed our safe we unusable. It took 2-days and two different safes to get this fixed. The room had a lovely patio area, however the light above our door outside was out, so at night it was very dark. Not a big deal, except it was never fixed at all during our stay. The a/c unit was not working properly one evening which made the room extremely hot. The next day when maintenance arrived they stated that the filters were extremely dirty and clogged, which is why we couldn’t get our room chilled. They confirmed they now changed the filters and everything should be working well, which it did. I have to say, in a pandemic, where everyone is afraid to even leave their house, where hotels are putting in extra safety and cleanliness precautions to ensure the safety of their guests… how can L’Auberge have dirty filters to the point where the A/C does not work? My mother almost requested to leave that day out of concern for her health. All of these issues upon other little things like having to call and ask for more TP or tissues because it wasnt refilled when they cleaned the room, was simply not what I was expecting to have to deal with. Especially after speaking with the manager on property multiple times. You begin to feel like a pest when you simply want to relax and enjoy the experience you know L'Auberge stands for. On the bright side, the valet staff was absolutely amazing! They were all so friendly and we enjoyed interacting with them throughout our stay. The food was also good when open. If there is a wedding going on you should plan for them to shut down the bar and restaurant early that night.

This beautiful hotel is located right in the heart of Del Mar community, next to the beach. Me and my boyfriend had the most romantic time spent there.... you can see the ocean from your room.... The food is delicious. Plenty of plant based options. The staff is very professional and friendly! The hotel is staying on top of providing the safe stay to its clientele. I can’t wait to be back some day!
