Nicely decorated and updated. Great location near downtown. Comfortable bedding. Hard to sleep due to automobile noises from acceleration from stop sign on the adjacent street and nearby train station. I expect there are other alternative places with same benefits without the noise. I would not likely stay here again.

I'm sorry to hear the outside city noise interfered with your stay, the train is a staple here in Downtown Davis. We are happy to check availability for a room facing away from the street / Downtown life or perhaps a stay in one of our single story cottage suites located towards the back of our property may provide the comfort you seek. We do have ear plugs available upon requests for our extra light sleepers.

You are accepting reservations yet have been closed for months. That is shockingly irresponsible to accept reservations and have out-of-town travelers arrive to a closed hotel. I don’t care if you ever open again. I would never ever book a reservation again after what happened today. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Was in Davis to attend a symposium at the conference center, so booked into the Aggie Inn for the first time. Desk staff always helpful and friendly, huge plus since it was my first time in Davis. My room was very clean, bed very comfortable...it is true, as some have mentioned, that the heating system is noisy, but I actually found the sound rather soothing. Nice choice of breakfast items in the included breakfast, and an easy, 10-15 minute walk to the conference center.

The hotel is very good, but the rooms are small and the eating area is even smaller. The hotel is near the State University,so it is ideal for University parents. Also, it is close to The Mondavi Music Center. Parking is free, but limited.

Dear rlwlawrisk, Glad to hear you had a good stay with us at the Aggie Inn! We do have a great location with easy access to the center of campus at UC Davis and near walking distance to both the Mondavi Center & Manetti Shrem Museum. We do have a variety of room layout options and for a more spacious room style I would suggest looking into our Cottage Suites. We do have limited free parking and also have access to parking permits to the street behind our hotel, always check in with one of our team members when in doubt.

We had two rooms... both very clean and enjoyable in a great location if you want to visit UC Davis campus or as a mid-trip stop along the I5 corridor. Clever bathroom pocket door ! made for much more space, plenty of vanity space, good lighting for make up, excellent no-sag mattress, no mold or mustiness, rooms are not cramped, towels that absorb water !... breakfast was standard fare but the fruit bowl was fresh and plentiful. We paid a couple dollars more for the Ascend name and it was a bargain. Thoroughly enjoyed this place and you would too.
