Just returned from a 4 day conference held here. The property is gorgeous with beautiful views of the ocean. We happened to meet the executive chef while having drinks who was quite courteous and informative. The appetizers were exceptional-must try the short rib sliders. The desserts were fabulous too. We also ate the breakfast buffet which was delicious. We all...

Overpriced first of all, and no water available in the rooms. The Vue was pricey and the buffet was not worth it. $5 for coffee is such a rip. Also, the last morning we were there, the city was chopping down trees and made a lot of noise. I called the front desk and they told me they can't do...

Thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback and your opinion is very important to us. We apologize for the loud noise in the park that disturbed you during your stay. The resort did not know that the noise would cause an inconvenience to our guests in any way. We definitely notify our guests if we are aware of...

Great for a wedding celebration weekend. Full service, responsive pleasant employees, comfortable rooms, well-furnished, resort fee of $25/day and parking ($32+/day) not included in room price but includes wi-fi; expensive for those not used to $300+/night. The place is big, the lobby floor noisy when accommodating many people, but rooms are well-insulated from noise. Easy access to state park beach--walk...

Even though this hotel is minutes away from my home, my family has many uses for it. On the 4th of July it is a walk up from the water fights that go on in the Dana Point Harbor. A cliff side seat with music and popcorn and you have view of the city, harbor, Catalina, and beyond on a...

We stayed one night because my husband had a business conference here. There were some nice positives: Warmly greeted by the valet and they quickly took our bags. The front desk was friendly and told us we'd been upgraded to a bigger room with a pool/ocean view. The room was quiet and slightly larger than we had expected with two...

Spread out on a slope above Dana Point Harbor, many of the hotel's rooms afford beautiful views over the yacht harbor and the coast line. Check-in was quick with staff from front desk, valet, bell captain station, and pool side without exception aiming to please. Our carpeted room #146 was a rather long walk from the lobby. Being at ground...

Its a great resort for a romantic getaway, with out kids. Good walking trails down to get a closer look of the harbor, but no beach access. Weve stayed here many times over the last 16 years, and always are treated nicely.

As I got closer to the hotel, I had this sudden realization that I didn't recall receiving a confirmation reminder from Marriott. When I pulled over to check my account, I realized that I did not actually have a reservation! There is something about the Marriott website that sometimes tricks me -- I reach what is the second to last...

Everything is great about this property except the parking. They don't have enough parking and you must pay valet fees that are high. We had long waits for our car. Also the resort fees are excessive. But it's a nice place with great views.

What makes this property worthy of being called a resort and spa? It is more like a courtyard marriott. Guess they are justifying the daily resort fee. Lobby is clean an has a modern look. Thank you for your constructive feedback. As you can imagine, a resort's appeal is always open to interpretation and while we hope our resort will meet the majority of our guest's expectactions, we understand it is not always possible.
