To start with, despite Tripadvisor thinking otherwise, there is no hot tub/jacuzzi any more. The bathroom had a funky sliding door. Either we had bathroom smells spreading into the bedroom, or whenever either of us used the bathroom at night, it made a loud noise that bothered the other one of us. We used an AAA (Auto Assn. of America) deal that provided two adult breakfasts (supposedly worth $17.95 each) and two breakfasts for children each night. We failed to acquire children for the first free breakfast, and after eating it, we decided not to borrow some grandkids because we were too fond of them. If we had actually had to pay $35.90 for the food we got, we'd have given that restaurant one star. My $12 eggs over easy were over hard, came with overcooked breakfast potatoes, and came with one slice of toast. I could not get a bagel and cream cheese instead of the toast without paying extra. The chicken sausages were pretty tasty and almost hot enough. We could drink either orange juice or coffee, not both. My wife's breakfast sandwich had far more arugula and cheese and far less avocado than the pictures. We were not allowed to have a banana on top of those breakfasts (even though my breakfast supposedly only cost $12 and hers $8.95 on a $36.90 free breakfast allotment). Despite our breakfasts being over $9 (day one) and over $14 (day two) under the cited price of two $17.95 breakfasts, we could not get an extra $0.25 banana (price at Trader Joes) or anything else. I have never before spend $17.95 on a breakfast and felt hungry afterwards; two Egg McMuffins fills me up. The amount of ham (correction: cold fatty prosciutto) I got today was less than the amount of ham you'd get with one egg McMuffin. My wife did like her breakfast sandwich's flavors even though the proportions did not match the photograph. Today my scrambled eggs were much better. The potatoes weren't. Then to top it all off they insisted on emailing me the bill instead of showing me the bill so I couldn't learn they had charged us for today's free breakfast and contest it until I got home. The restaurant cashier remembered us from yesterday (it's a popular AAA deal I guess) and told us we were good to go. I've had to deal with one phone call (so far) to be followed by a manager's approval (if ever), then at least one other phone call (if they call me back approving the change) or arguments with my credit card company. I'm not paying $24 for that breakfast; it's the principle of the thing. We have stayed at this Courtyard many times before for over twenty years (it's near friends) and never had any incidents to make us think poorly of it. I guess this is the kind of thing to expect from today's capitalism. If we had gotten a room with a regular closing bathroom door and hadn't ordered any food, it would have been a four star review. If our food had matched what we receive at other hotels that offer free breakfast, or if I did not have to deal with multiple phone calls because they charged us for a free breakfast, it would have been a three star review. But as is, two stars, the first Courtyard rating I have ever given under four stars.

I felt like a valued Platinum guest during the check in process. Why don't over hotels realize that the first impression of the guest is the most powerful? The rooms were fine, I appreciated the upgrade to a suite for our one night stay. The beds and pillows made for a good night sleep.

Second week-long stay here. The staff are friendly and give good customer service. The rooms have everything you need and were very clean, and the beds are very comfortable. On the other hand, the decor is extremely dated, and the rooms are very dingy due to a lack of natural light combined with no overhead lighting. As a result, spending any period of time in the rooms apart from to sleep is pretty depressing. The gym is small but has free weights and space to use them so it is perfectly functional. There is a bistro downstairs, which was good for breakfast, but the portions for dinner are very small and not worth bothering with.

My family chose the Courtyard by Marriott to meet for a family wedding. What a great location! Although a little hard to find the parking lot. Lots of shopping and restaurants near by but it is best if you have a car rather then try to get around by foot. Older Hotel but new remodel helps make the rooms feel modern, comfortable and home ie. The front desk was so nice at check in! We would definitely come back.. I recommend that you request a 3rd or 4th floor room if you don’t want to hear someone stomping all night in the room above you..

I am currently staying here for a week on business. I'd like to give kudos to some of the staff: Danny and Hilda at the restaurant. Danny is so pleasant and smiling all the time. He was the first person I interacted with when I arrived at the hotel and he made me feel welcome. Hilda is a rock star. When I ordered the burger without the bun or fries, she made me a burger wrap and it was awesome! Theresa, my housekeeper was the sweetest lady and always did everything right - she even left me a note that I didn't need to leave her anymore tips because I had already given her too much! I have very fragile skin and cut myself a couple of times, Vi (pronounced Vee) at the front desk was so accommodating both times by making sure that I had alcohol wipes to disinfect, and bandaids. Thank you! The hotel is a bit dated, but the staff is so awesome that it doesn't matter.
