I don't know what it is about this hotel, but it's simply perfect and my new favorite hotel in Los Angeles. Maybe it was the lovely people who we encountered there who are coloring my opinion, but I also like to think it's the elegant but understated rooms; fun location (Culver City is more Hollywood than Hollywood) near two studios... A lovely hotel in a very walkable area of Culver City. Excellent nearby restaurants, Sony Studios just down the street if you want to play tourist, and a three block walk to the light rail that can quickly move you to the Santa Monica pier or to downtown. Very helpful staff, a quiet room for such an urban setting, and... More

Diverted here by their sister hotel in Beverly Hills which had rejected us as they were over booked. Culver staff made us feel welcome & got us settled in, albeit after a bit of 'white lies' on behalf of their untrustworthy colleagues. Culver hotel was lovely. Full of period features & character - especially the bar where live music fuelled... More

My hubby and I stayed here for a few days last week and enjoyed our visit. A very nice continental breakfast was included in the room rate (the restaurant is reviewed in a separate review). The valet guys were particularly helpful and the valet parking is right on site. It took no time to get our car when needed. Each... More

I asked for poached eggs, rather than fried, with my avocado toast breakfast and was met with a bemused glance. "It will be too wet, sir". It'll be fine, I said. It came. It was delicious. Next day they informed me the manager was going to change the menu. You're welcome!

The Culver Hotel was built in 1919. They have kept all the old style and grace but gave this hotel a hip vibe. The place is packed at happy hour. Seating is in the lobby and an outdoor patio. They also have an upstairs lounge. Workers are friendly and down to earth. Would recommend a visit or stay.By the way,... More

My partner stayed here for 2 weeks with business in August. During that time he had 1 night away with business and he left his bag at reception and returned the next day to find his bag had been lost by the hotel. That might have been a conceivable mistake except they didn't do much to help find it -... More

We had a very nice 2 night stay at the Culver Hotel. We were on the 5th floor which was quiet in that we didn't hear any activity from the bustling scene on the ground floor. We did hear some outdoor noise which surprised me, perhaps the windows aren't that thick. Our room was small but nice. The bed was... More

Remarkable and beautifully kept building. So grand and old and romantic. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience of the evening. The soft jazz band playing in the bar was gorgeous. I would and have recommend this to several good friends that I know will love and appreciate this old feeling of past romantic classy times! Please never change!

Beautiful, historic hotel. We stayed in the "Culver Suite", a 1 bedroom suite with two bathrooms (one with a stall shower, the other with a giant old fashioned tub that could not be used as a shower). The staff was friendly and very professional, the room was spotless, and the room was set up with hypoallergenic bedding as requested before... More
