My wife and I stayed at the Culver Hotel for the first time while visiting our daughter in Los Angeles for four days over Thanksgiving. We loved the place and the people, and it was very close to her job at SONY studios. The room was not quite as large as we might have liked, and the closet in particular...

We went to cinema next to The Culver hotel and stopped for drink after movie. When you step inside, you have feeling like you step in golden era of Hollywood. Everything is so nice and styled, people are relaxed and "nicely loud". And one interesting fact from Wikipedia: "The hotel was later owned by Charlie Chaplin, who, legend has it, lost...

I first explored this historic gem while working at MGM Studios promoting the video for the 50th anniversary of The Wizard of Oz. Anyone familiar with Hollywood history knows that the studio (now Sony Pictures) was the most revered studio jewel in the industry, built in 1924 -- as was the Culver Hotel which likely was no coincidence. The Culver...

The room and the hotel are beautiful, but disappointed in the noise for a $400+ hotel room and no warning. We were on the third floor above an event and it was loud music until 11:30 pm. If we didn't pay full price and would have been given a heads up might not have been as big of a deal....

A little room very noisy... and you are in the bed with your neighbour. Music in the evening if you want to stay for a drink but no dinner. Some say that the second floor is haunted but it was Halloween !

Happy Halloween, yes, if you believe in ghosts, we have a very friendly one who has been seen and felt on the 2nd floor. They say it is Harry Culver, the founder of Culver City, and that he is very happy with what has happened to his signature building. Sorry about the disturbance. Being an older building the noise between...

This hotel is a bit pricey but worth it. It has amazing charm to it. The history in this hotel and the surrounding areas leaves you in awe. I love this hotel, it's easy to get to, it's has a free breakfast, the lobby/bar/breakfast area is adorable. I LOVE the charm here. You have to check out the second floor....

I'll echo the main theme of other comments: great location, good walking neighborhood and restaurant scene, lively bar scene in the hotel. We will undoubtedly stay there again. That said, service outside at the dining tables was very slow on a Saturday morning (yes, weddings were going on -- but if you have a service you have to support it)...

Mattress changed already. I am so sorry about that. Even with all the activity the service must be more prompt. I am reaching out to you to make amends. Thank you for staying with us. Seth Horowitz General Manager The Culver Hotel

I don't know what it is about this hotel, but it's simply perfect and my new favorite hotel in Los Angeles. Maybe it was the lovely people who we encountered there who are coloring my opinion, but I also like to think it's the elegant but understated rooms; fun location (Culver City is more Hollywood than Hollywood) near two studios...

Your review is also "JUST PERFECT!". Thank you. You are right, Culver City's slogan is "The Heart of Screenland". All the MGM pictures of the 1920's and 30's were filmed here (what is now the Sony Lot). The original "King Kong" and "Gone With The Wind" were filmed on the David O Selznick Studio's right next to the Hotel (what...

A lovely hotel in a very walkable area of Culver City. Excellent nearby restaurants, Sony Studios just down the street if you want to play tourist, and a three block walk to the light rail that can quickly move you to the Santa Monica pier or to downtown. Very helpful staff, a quiet room for such an urban setting, and...

The Expo Metro light rail is a wonderful addition to transportation on the Westside. Just opened from Culver City to Santa Monica, literally an 8 minute walk from the front of the hotel. We are a 10 minute ride to USC and then another 10 to Downtown Los Angeles. Seth GM
