Detailed Reviews
This location was superb for our 3-day stay in the area for a wedding. We were only 10 minutes and a few miles away from the venue.
The rooms are small but cozy at the North Shore Inn. Ours had a small veranda with a view of the tree-blocked lake and overlooked the small business area. The hotel is close to eateries, a fabulous grocery store (Goodwin & Sons), 7-Eleven, McDonald's, and the local Crestline Cafe (great food). There is a Mexican restaurant next door but we didn't get to try it.
There isn't daily cleaning service, but you can ask for whatever you need from Abdul who seemed to run and maintain the place. (We got fresh towels and garbage bags as needed.)
A small refrigerator is in the room, along with a coffee maker, bottled water, and snacks. Refills for the snacks, bottled water, and coffee packets are available upon request.
On arrival, we had a problem with our refrigerator (it was brand new) that caused concern, since I keep my extra insulin refrigerated. Abdul could not get it working, so he got an electrician to pop by within 10 minutes to get the appliance operating. Abdul was very helpful, friendly, and respectful (always called me Maam---and in a nice way).
The towels were decent, and soap, shampoo, and conditioner are offered.
My only complaint was that there are tons of decorative pillows that just get in the way in such a small space. (I threw them in the closet.) Management should trade them in for some decent (more firm) sleeping pillows.
The price was reasonable for the area, especially because we got a 10% discount for being senior citizens (65 and older).
Not sure if we will ever be back in this area, but if I decide to buy a small hotel or B&B, I would definitely hire Abdul to run it! :-)

We stayed at the 2 beds (I think this the one room that has two beds)
Perfect of my family of 4 since we have an infant and 6yo
The Location was perfect close to all and right in front of the lake
Parking behind the room gas station across the street mini market restaurants I mean every think that you would need
Tho is very important to me since we have children
Anyways
We love how the room was equipped with everything we needed
They even have wine glasses inside the small fridge which I think is best gesture for them to add. Also they have coffee maker and real mugs that they provide.
I love how the front desk staff was so polite and before you check in someone actually calls you to follow up if what time are you arriving
Our was ready before the “check In time they called us to let us know that it was ready which was amazing
We had stay in a lot of hotel even the luxury hotels would not do that.
Grateful to have find this little gem.
Would definitely stay here again

During COVID, it's always a wonder as to where you should stay and how clean is it. This place was clean and they made every effort to make sure we had what we needed. We stayed in the suite Rooms 9 and 10 and it was fun. We stayed with some friends and had a good time. They have a kitchen and microwave, dishwasher, full size refridge. We were able to go to the store across the street and purchase food & drinks.
I would recommend they replace the couch in the living room. It's seen it's last days. Also, replace all the outlets to more modern with the USB. All the outlets are worn so the plug drops out of the outlet. Seems like those suggestions would be low cost to fix. Maybe add paper towels, paper towel rack and a full size mirror. We had a great time ad staff were very friendly. Next door is a mexican restaurant which was yummy.

Stayed in #9, top floor, large balcony. Rooms are very nice & clean. Mattress was too soft, no support. Kitchen - good fridge size, need counter space for food prep. Housekeeping is good but a little more attention to basic maintenance is needed. Great view from the balcony

Beautiful hotel!
Abdul at the front desk was very kind and very friendly when we arrived.
The room was exquisite down to every detail. The sheets smelled freshly laundered and were trimmed in beautiful lace. Whoever decorated this room did a lovely job. The attention to detail was unbelievable.
And very, very clean. I felt very comfortable here.
We had a balcony with a view of the lake which was an extra treat. And the lake was just across the street from our room.
An absolutely perfect getaway thanks in part to this gem of a hotel.
Will be returning as soon as possible.

It's been a couple years since we've been to Crestline. Used to have a family cabin, so this was the first time we stayed anywhere else. It was wonderful! We stayed in Room 3 and loved it. It was a pet friendly room and you never would have guessed it. It was so clean, even though there was carpeting. Little details did not go overlooked, such as lots of towels, and ample amounts of shampoo/soaps and coffee. We never had to ask for anything! Thank you for a wonderful stay and look forward to next time!

This was my first trip since the covid pandemic. I was a little nervous staying in a hotel. I was the only person in the office when I checked in. I was told there wouldn't be housekeeping due to the pandemic.
I couldn't find the parking lot when I checked in so I parked across the street. There are 2 spaces in front of the hotel and less than 10 spaces behind the hotel.
My room had a beautiful view. There are stairs to climb up (if you are not physically able to you would have a difficult time). The room is beautifully decorated.
The room has a small coffee maker and coffee and real cream packets. There was even 2 packages of chocolate chip cookies. There was wine glasses, wine bucket and a cork screw. There is a refrigerator and microwave.
The shower had really good water pressure. The room was so quiet. It felt like I was the only person staying at the hotel.
The hotel is close enough to walk into town. It is such a short walk to walk around the beautiful lake from the hotel. I highly recommend the hotel for a nice getaway.

The guest service is above and beyond. The entire staff is extremely friendly. Since our room was already cleaned, they let us check in early. I asked if there was an ice machine in the hotel; there was not, but he ran next door to the Mexican restaurant and got me some ice in a little ice bucket and brought it to our hotel room.

I had the pleasure of staying at the North Shore Inn the last weekend of June. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My room was very clean and comfortable. I have stayed here years ago and would love to return as soon as I can. It was very quite at night and was so nice to sit out on the balcony either early in the morning and watch the sun come up and and to be able to relax later in the evening and watch everyone with there doge enjoying a great walk.

This was a wonderful, cozy spot near the lake to relax and enjoy the trees, birds, and sounds of summer from the room & balcony. "Blessed" was the word above the comfortable bed, & blessed i certainly was! Abdul was great on phone setting up the reservation and great in person for the short but meaningful stay. Would definitely come again, as many "regulars" do for some "away from the city" time. Thank you for a welcoming landing spot for some mountain-&-tree time!!

Hello, I am sorry there is no elevator, however, if you call us we can help you with the booking so as to avoid needing an elevator.
We are on the side of a hill so there are some rooms that while they are up from the street, they still have level parking outside the rooms entrance.
