I've been lucky to travel to a lot of places and hotel experiences are always a mixed back because there are so many things to consider - price, location, amenities, service, etc. When we found ourselves in Covina for a class reunion, we needed to find a hotel that could accommodate a large party at a reasonable price and so we took a chance on setting up a pool party at the Vanllee Hotel & Suites. First, this is not what would be generally considered a "higher-tier" brand (such as Marriott, Hyatt, Westin, etc.), but it was a fantastic value and the service was very friendly. The front desk team helped us secure a group rate and then assisted with coordinating our pre-reunion pool party. The rooms were comfortable and recently remodeled and overall the grounds were well kept. The catering from the on-site restaurant (Hamilton's) was well done. Even when the noise levels got a little loud later in the evening, the security was cooperative and worked to help us find a suitable location to take the gathering so other guests would not be disturbed while not breaking up a gathering of friends who hadn't seen each other in a very long time. Overall, we had a very good experience and this is a location worth considering when in the Covina area.

We love this hotel. Our room was clean and spacious. The front desk staff are all friendly and pleasant The hotel itself has beautiful courtyard gardens and big swimming pool . I left my cell phone at the room and came back after 2 hours and got it back chubby but handsome gentleman sorry did not get his name did all he could to assist us find the cell phone. All in all we will recommend this hotel to friends and family. It is a good venue for conferences and retreats. Angelina Bautista- Couples for Christ

Stylish hotel with en-suite bedrooms, two courtyard gardens and a swimming pool. I travel a lot with Chinese students across America and Europe. The hotel looks great and it should be great but it’s at the very bottom. It’s low. Go somewhere else. -We were told not to break anything. Because we are Asian? Asians apparently break things? I’m sorry if previous customers were careless but it’s a pretty bad way to start. -We booked 6 bedrooms all of which had bugs and 4 had cockroaches. In the beds. There were cockroaches on my bed, not under a sink. -We needed a conference room. We emailed, phoned, got voice mail, asked the front desk. It was complex and we could not get an answer. Eventually it was approved. Then on the day of the conference, we were told that nobody knew anything. I was showed to a small dining room in the Hamilton steakhouse which is part of the same premises/management $200 an hour - we asked for a couple to be in a king size bed instead of 2 separate ones. On day 4 we were told that it wasn’t available. - Worst breakfast in America. Plastic eggs, Nescafe water with more water. Steamed industrial waffles. Boiled bacon? It’s not an American breakfast and it’s not a chinese one, and I can’t remember the last time i saw that. Love LA, love America, love China and ask your tour guide to find another location.

What a great experience. Delightful friendly and helpful staff. Very spacious modern rooms. Modern European flair in suites. Common areas as front desk and restaurant have a beautifully elegant old country charm. I loved this place!!! My room was spotless. A few tiny imperfections but so many very nice details like small reading lights on both sides of the bed besides the regular lamps. Outlets everywhere and USB ports for convenient phone charging. So many little details taken care of. Love the modern clean lines of the sheet wrapped comforter. Very comfortable bed and lots of great storage. Didn’t take time to use the pool but it looked so inviting I may just need to make another trip. It truly is such an amazing hidden gem. So close to the freeway and city and yet such a hidden paradise. Thanks Angelina for all the extra help and care.
