I’ve been to this hotel before and the service has always been great. I’m back here again for an another meeting and the service and the facilities continue to impress. Also, a big big shout out to Mia at the front desk who was extremely helpful when my room was delayed. Her service was excellent and she kept me up-to-date and helped me with all my questions. Check in with a breeze with her and she got me the room I wanted and overall made the delay no problem at all and continued to check in with me until everything was set up. Thanks again for the great service!

Didn’t get a good room, should have asked to change it but was on ground floor and beside business desks and lifts etc, loud. Also had to get music turned down in internal courtyard a couple of times. Hotel is great though, very clean and tidy. Good food in bar and breakfast. Great location only a couple of blocks from South Coast Plaza and loads of different restaurants etc. Good experience all round.

Every exchange with the staff exceeded my expectations. Upon check-in in the grand and stylish entryway, the front desk was savvy in my protection by refraining from disclosing my room number aloud for nearby guests to overhear. I appreciated this gesture. When I was running late to a performance at the Segerstrom, Mario ran to get me a shuttle to the ballet faster than my high heels would have carried me. He offered a shuttle after the performance as well, where Mario politely engaged in conversation about the depth of the performance by Les Ballets de Monte Carlo. (Revitalizing a ballet choreographed in the 1800s with AI and feminism really had me wired to talk.) I appreciated Mario's kind ear along with the general disposition of the doormen and valets. I felt welcomed. Additionally, the amenities and decor in my suite were divine. I had beautiful views from each room, and a balcony that made my morning coffee time linger until lunch. The dulcet sound of running water created a tranquil I wanted to bring the bed home with me after a beautiful night's sleep. A special note of appreciation for all of the art on the walls throughout the hotel. It was very well thought out. My favorite series was the American Ballet Theatre's "Uniting in Movement" detailing their first mid-pandemic performance. I appreciated the way they opened up the fitness area with clever mirror placement, however if I were to make one less than favorable note it would be that with the sauna attached to the gym caused the smell to be off. I don't think that is a trade off worth that particular an amenity - if someone needs a hot yoga sauna sweat space they'll go find one. Beyond that, the cardiovascular equipment was all directed to the window and stunning view of their dog-friendly lake walk path. Updated gym equipment was all stacked away nicely, with water, towels, and cleaning supplies at hand. I ate one meal at the Silver Trumpet which also had beautiful art decor and musical show posters on display. The server was less knowledgeable than I'd like about gluten-free items, but the meal was good and the view was better. Staying at the Avenue of the Arts extended my creative experience beyond the theatre to every breath of my trip. All in all I'm very pleased with my experience and look forward to visiting again.

This hotel is a mixed bag and I couldn't decide between a "3" and a "4" but I went with a 4. The rooms are very attractively decorated -- so much so that I was wondering where they bought the credenzas because I would love one for my home. The TV was one of the nicest I had ever seen in a hotel. Beware that the rooms are a bit on the small side and the bathrooms are really way too small. The bed was fine and the blackout curtains were perfect. On one side of the hotel you have a view of a small garden and on the other side you have a view of the duck pond, so that was nice. My complaint about the hotel is that not only are the rooms not well sound-proofed but on the weekends the hotel seems to attract an unsavory crowd to the extent that I was wondering if it was a hotel used by sex workers. Which was not exactly what I envisioned for a hotel in the business district of Costa Mesa. On a Friday night, the people in the next room were having loud violent sex -- constant screaming from the woman and continuous sound of someone being slapped, followed by squealing from the woman. After this went on and on and on and it was close to midnight, I finally called the front desk. To their credit, they immediately sent up a security guard, who confirmed the noise and told the people to pipe down as there had been a complaint. I wanted to be moved and the security guard conferred with the front desk and I was upgraded to a junior suite down the hall. As the security guard was escorting me to my new room, the loud couple next door were having a pizza delivery -- at midnight. I didn't realize it was a party hearty hotel. Then as I was being escorted by the security guard down the hall after midnight to my new room, I heard loud sex in the hallway coming from a different room. I turned to the security guard and said, "what is going on?" He assured me I would not hear anything in the junior suite at the end of the hallway and I did not. I stayed two nights and I was checking out Sunday morning, I overheard an older couple also checking out and complaining vociferously about noise. The desk clerk ending up comping one of their nights. I would be a little leery about staying at this hotel again because of the noise and the crowd it seems to attract, at least on the weekends. The restaurant on premises has mediocre food (except for the nice green juice on the menu), but a very pleasant patio where you can sit outside under heat lamps with a view of the duck pond. There were very few people in the restaurant for either breakfast or lunch (not sure about dinner) so I felt a bit sorry for the staff whose tips would not be great.

The hotel is beautiful you feel welcomed as soon as you enter everyone is so nice. Check-in was efficient and all my requests were saved in my member profile. The only thing I would change about the hotel is the $37 parking fee or offer promotions for BonVoy members that include parking. Raz was the best part of our stay five star service every interaction. I will definitely be back again.

Avenue of the Arts is a beautiful, modern hotel in a nice area of Costa Mesa. It backs a pond/park area that makes a great walking spot, with a handful of cafes and shops within easy walking distance. While all the staff were friendly and helpful, I really appreciated the greeting I received from Angel, an employee working (I think) in maintenance. I was surveying my surroundings and Angel was quick to greet me and provide a mini tour on where to find the gym, pool (including the temperature), restaurant, etc., and offered his help if I needed anything. I ran into him multiple times during my stay and the experience was the same -- by far the best customer service I've received at a hotel in recent memory.
