The charge for a handicap room was approx 30% higher than the quoted price for a non-handicap room. This was the first time I had encountered this. The room showed it's age and needs some major refurbishing,

The La Quinta Inn John Wayne Orange County Airport is, sadly, an aging and worn-out motel, without much personality.. both in its architecture and rooms, as well as its staff. As a La Qunita Returns Elite Member, I was not exactly made felt 'welcome' by the staff. With shrugging shoulders they told me that, due to being weekend-booked solid, they...

We attended a family wedding in Newport Beach. We stayed here as the rate was $200 less. The accomodations were very good. Clean and efficient. BUSY Hotel, but all worked well. Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. Entrance to Hotel is confusing. Need to enter over a canel bridge at HOOTERS Restruant.

This place is a dive. the toilet paper roll is barley hanging on. Black mold. Tweekers. Need I go on? I feared for my life when I walked the dog. This La Quinta is in dire need of a FACE LIFT! Motel 6 across the freeway looked cleaner.

Wondering just how much sleep I'm going to lose this week being perched on the side of the I-405 This place is so tired, there's only so much lipstick that you can put on a pig. Nice easy drive into Newport Beach for dinner and comfortable beds. Just too noisy for a good night's sleep

Like most properties in this block of hotels, this property has not been kept up and is seriously overpriced for the quality you get. The rooms smelled of mold, were poorly noise insulated (your right under the landing pattern for John Wayne International Airport) making for a difficult time to fall asleep on hard beads with worn out pillows.

Considering the amount of bad reviews, I was expecting a serious sh**hole, but it was actually pretty decent. Room was big, clean, the pool was not disgusting. Biggest complaint is the breakfast, that changes hours in different days ans sometimes ends earlier than schedulled. I couldn't get it in any of the 3 days I've stayed there.

I stayed here while visiting family over the Labor Day weekend. Their price was very reasonable for a holiday weekend, and they accept pets. I was happy with the cleanliness and the comfort of the bed, but the place does need some TLC. The bathroom door really needed replacing, the vending/ice machines were out of order, and the carpets need...

The staff was not train on handling or caring for customers need. They have their own agenda and i do not belief that they represent La Quita values. There was upper covering the Holiday weekend and personal left to cover the weekend were very unpleasant to work with.

The hotel looks old and needs some TLC. It is next to a Hooters, I did not like that. If you don't mind homeless people joining you in the breakfast area scarfing down food and charging their phones next to the food, then enjoy. Not for me.
