I am a frequent guest at this location and always warmly greeted by the staff. The rooms were not only clean but sanitized and all the staff was very cautious; wearing masks and social distancing. It was very reassuring during these uncertain times. Beds have always been clean and comfortable on every stay!
The location is extremely convenient for any freeway or destination. Parking is plentiful and well lit...always feel safe even when arriving late at night . Lots of activities/nearby beaches/restaurants for all ages. You cant go wrong making this your home base for a vacation, business trip or weekend getaway!

First, the good thing: the people working the front desk in the morning were extremely friendly, helpful and professional. The bed was comfortable and the room surprisingly quiet, given its proximity to the freeway.
The not so good: the woman who assisted me at check in in the evening was the polar opposite of her colleagues on the day shift. She was unhelpful, unfriendly, never smiled. In addition, she asked me if I would prefer to be on the first or second floor. I said the second. Then, she proceeded to book me in a room on the first floor, with no explanation. When I told her that I had booked a king room and she was putting me in two queens, she refused to change it and said the system literally wouldn't let her change it. (This was a blatant lie). When I asked to speak with the manager, she said no one was there and at 8:30pm, she would not call the manager. She said I would have to call Expedia (where I booked the room), to change it to a King. This is not true, as this snafu has happened before and a hotel ALWAYS has the ability to change the room type. So I called Expedia. They called the hotel, and by magic, her system (over which Expedia has no control) suddenly gave me a king bedded room.
Some poor notes about the room: as noted above, the bed was comfy. The room was quiet and it was clean. However, the bath is in serious need of updating. The tile was old, the wallpaper was peeling off the wall and it had a noisy fan. IN addition, the room was cold and did not have enough bedding - only one very thin blanket. The heating system gauge did not work, so I could not tell the temperature it was set to. Very frustrating.

I travel to this area of California once a year and have stayed many different places, some twice the price of this hotel. This hotel far superseded any hotel in the area. The bed was big and comfortable, the hotel was quiet, and the room was large. I also love when the sink is separate from the toilet/shower and this hotel has that. The breakfast was an added bonus. It was in a separate building and had the feel of a café. Jessica was super sweet and helpful to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our breakfast. I will definitely stay in this hotel again next time I am in the area.

Due to a family emergency, I had the opportunity to stay at this hotel for over a week. They were very accommodating to our large group of family members making and changing reservations. All the staff members were professional and kind. The rooms were cleaned daily. Hot breakfast was also served every morning. The atmosphere was very quiet and relaxing which was what the family needed at this time.

First time staying here. This is what we found. We asked for and got 3rd floor room. We like the top floor so no noise from people above us. The AC worked well. We had what's called Executive King room which had king bed and sofa/bed as well as a large desk and microwave and refrig. The shower/bath and toilet were in separate room from the single bathroom sink which is nice. Small outdoor but adequate swimming pool and very small but nice indoor spa (pretty hot and the water jets worked fine). We did have to ask janitor for towels for the spa as there where none there but he quickly brought 2 towels for us. My Apple TV (I have extra old one I bring with me on trips) easily connected to flat screen TV by unplugging the HDMI cable for the cable TV and plugging my Apple TV HDMI cable into the same spot. So we had access to all our streaming services like Netflix, HBO Max, etc without using my laptop. The 3rd floor had a nice public outdoor patio/balcony area with a couple tables which we plan to eat our breakfast at in the morning. They have hot inside breakfast (if you want). The staff so far seemed nice and helpful. Found soda machine ($2 for 20 oz bottle). Coffee/cold water in the lobby. Hotel very easy quick access off the 55 FWY at Fair Drive exit. Outside parking and below level garage (we didn't check that). We are enjoying it so far and plan on staying here again. As far as compared to other BW Plus hotels we have stayed at, there are a few that are a little more fancy/newer but quite a few that aren't as nice as this. I could give this 5 stars but I save that for really super nice places. Maybe after breakfast I will revise to 5 stars depending on what we find.

If your life peaked between 1982 and 1987 then your in luck! You will feel right at home with the style of the rooms. Although at this point they are very dingy, and dirty overall. The "second rate handyman" repairs will make you wish that you didn't book. Here. Over all not what was expected from Best Western. Although I also found out that they are individually owned so that might be the reason...

We found this gem well over a year ago and love the location. Rooms are very spacious and cute. Newport Beach is just a short drive away, the freeway is so close and restaurants and stores are at a convenient distance.
We had some issues with our stay that didn't concern the room itself. The manager called me today to find out what my issues were. I'm glad he did. He listened and seemed to care about my concerns with my stay and I would definitely stay here again with family or friends.

Lobby looks good, until you’re walking in the first floor hallway. Looks old. Door locks from the inside needs to be upgraded. It looks like one kick and it would bust open. Love the 2 sinks. Beds are comfy. Pillows are so bulky and so hard. The worst one… shower head!!! It took a long time to rinse our hair as the pressure is soooo low. What we did was get a bucket and use the tub water spout to get water and pour it on our head/body. Then there’s only 3 big towels and there’s 4 of us(registered). So we have to eask for extra And the microwave that we asked took a long time to get to us. Make sure you register how many people in your room because at breakfast they would let you pay for the extra person. Staff at the breakfast area was realy nice and friendly. We’ll probably not come back here. Payed almost $600 for 2 nights, I think we could find something better. Totally not worth it.
