First time traveling to this area. Helped daughter move into new place for internship job at Marine Mammal Center. Needed a place to stay for 5 days and Marin Suites Hotel provided what we needed. Suite was clean and roomy. Great location, nearby shopping center, quick access to highway, and located near places to visit and sightseeing.
Noisy and staff service not reliable. If you need internet to work, this is not the place for you. Room and amenities dated, the facility shows it's age. Elevator is a nightmare if you have to use it, but there are not many levels. Floor plan is not straight forward, anything but typical, seeing newly checked in guests roaming to find their rooms becomes a norm. Location is great, that's about it.
The room smelled like smoke really bad. I asked to be moved to other room. The next room was also nasty the bathroom grout was moldy and gross also they are painting building ladders are everywhere and unsafe
Our suite was perfect for me and my 4 kids. It had a separate bedroom with 2 queen beds. There was a sizable living room area with a queen-size folder out sofa bed. A cute dining table with 4 chairs and a small kitchen were a nice bonus. Would definitely stay here again! Great sized room for the price and convenient location.
Nice staff. decent place to stay. Heating/cooling systems a bit loud. No food options. Good area. short walk or dive to food options, and close to freeway. Great option for easy to & from if working in Richmond area.
I had a terrible time sleeping in the suite I reserved and called Vida who said to come see her to choose another room. After listening to my story, Vida showed me what was available, she provided me a fantastic and spacious suite with NO traffic noise and gorgeous views of the mountains. It was as if I went to another country! And she provided me hotel service to bring my luggage to my new suite. I look forward to visiting Marin Suites Hotel. it is a great find for the price and the service! thank you
We chose this hotel because it offered a 2-bdr suite. Unfortunately, the hotel is right next to the freeway and it is very noisy. On top of that, the old AC/heating unit was extremely loud, so if you are looking for a quiet place to lay your head down for a night, this is not it. It's an old property and I can tell they've made some effort to make it look nicer on the outside, but the rooms are pretty run down. Our bedroom did not even have a closet to hang anything up in or even a luggage rack to put a suitcase on. It was just generally lacking for the price we paid. The only reason I am writing this review is because I typically keep my expectations low for this level of hotel--usually just looking for a simple, convenient place to spend the night--but this just didn't cut it.
I've stayed at MS many times over the past year visting family and friends, the rooms are big and homey, everything works from A-Z, the staff makes everything easy for me. I have tried other hotels in the greater area and always come back to my favorite, Marin Suites.
This is very clean place. It is quiet easy access to freeway 101. I would stay here again. One is right in between San Francisco if you want to head to fisherman's wharf and Santa Rosa if you are a casino person.
If you are looking for a hotel in Marin, you have to stay at Marin Suites Hotel! Beautiful hotel next to so much from shopping to dining and all within walking distance! Thank you for an incredible stay.
