    Definitely worth a stay!
Spectacular views, caring staff, organized housekeeping, and the food ain’t too shabby either. This hotel is a Coronado gem, tucked away on the Silver, you won’t regret a stay here. Shoutout to Manager Meredith who went above and beyond and make the littlest things her greatest priorities. Will be staying here again.

    Excellent all-around
Arrival: Upon arrival I was immediately greeted by an attendant who opened the car door and brought my luggage inside to the front desk. Check-in was a breeze. After entering the resort you’ll see that the restaurant, cafe, bar, and the gift shop are all in the main area, as well as the gorgeous round staircase that leads to the conference room areas. Location: The resort is about a 20 minute drive from SAN airport. It is close driving distance to the Coronado downtown area and from SD’s gaslamp district. There are scenic views of beautiful Coronado Bay throughout the resort. Room: The resort rooms are broken down into buildings separated by long hallways, with building 1 being the closest to the front desk. I had a pool view room in building 3 and on the third floor (with elevator access), which was not a super close walk from the front desk and main areas. For anyone with accessibility issues, keep in mind the potentially long walk to get to your room. My room was situated in its own separate hallway and therefore super private, but noise from the pool area could be heard even with the sliding glass doors shut. Had I studied the layout of the resort beforehand, I would have requested a bay view room in building 4 or 5 where it would have been quieter and away from the pool area but a longer walk. The room was very comfortable and spacious for my business stay. I loved having the balcony, and the bathroom was amazing. Amenities: I did not take advantage of the pool or gym, but I did take spin classes in their outdoor studio facing the marina. The classes were excellent and a great way to start the day. A great perk is having an all day long complimentary shuttle to the beach and to downtown Coronado village. Parking is available for a fee. Dining: All meals were provided by the conference and catered by the resort, and the food was decent. Other than that there is a small cafe opened all day long, a more upscale restaurant, and bar lounges indoors and outdoors. Take a minute to sit in the outside lounge around the open fireplace and soak in the bay views. Staff: The day before my arrival, I worked with a lovely woman over the phone who assisted me with and resolved my reservation issue, and she arranged to have a microwave sent to my room upon my arrival. After checking out, the concierge held my bags for a few hours and was very pleasant to deal with. A few weeks after my stay, I realized there was an erroneous charge on my bill and the rep I spoke to on the phone handled my issue promptly. I have to say that every staff member I dealt with before, during, and even after my stay was wonderful.

    Just a gorgeous place
My family and I stayed here this past weekend. Were pleasantly surprised with how great our view was form the large balcony. Just abount every room has a water and marina view as the hotel sits on a little island unto itself. The pool/pools were great, plenty of lounge chairs, shade if you wanted it, towels and a very attentive staff who works very hard. Food was good that we got pool side. The lobby was very big, so social distancing was not a concern. Look forward to seeing it open with everything like the sit down restaurant open. The hotel is an easy drive of 5-8 minutes to the main beaches and downtown Coronado so getting back and forth was really easy. Parking was great because each section of the hotel has its own little garage, so we could pop down to our car in a minute if we needed too. The rooms were very nice,(we had a two beds) beds were comfortable, double vanity in the bathroom and plenty of space, definately not cramped in the room or bathroom. In fact you could say the bathtub is huge. The kicker for me came after we checked out. Monday morning I realized I had left a pair of shoes behind. Called Loews to help me. The gentleman called me back 15 minutes to say he had found TWO pairs of shoes and would get them out to me at no expense. We live in Orange County, but I was very appreciative to see they arrived today. Place is relaxing and spacious for a business trip, romantic with the balcony and pool and the pool was great for out kids. Definately be back.

A very nice clean hotel with a lot of amenities and the price is probably appropriate for Coronado Island, but expensive for someone on a limited budget. In addition, you will be charged for turning on the TV.

The Yacht Club is definitely a beautiful place for a wedding. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Be sure to share your experience with those who service you, they deserve your positive feed back. Coronado Island is definitely a boat mans dream and for the person who loves the water. There is a tile mosaic out on the pier that was incredible to see the history of the island. The resort was the perfect place to stay and the view was spectacular.

I an totally pleased with the quality of my stay at this fine hotel! The location is perfect and remind me of being on an island in the Caribbean. It has great views of San Diego from the sea and the open ocean. I would like to return with my family in the future.

BLUF: For staying at an international resort chain on a holiday weekend (labor day) there was much left to be desired from what was advertised vs. reality of what was available. I would not recommend this location and/or dates to others to spend their money on. We talked with another guest who was a regular at Loews Coronado and she said it was the worst stay in 3 years and may look elsewhere for her next family Labor Day trip. 1. Staff was not knowledgeable about the listed/advertised resort happenings so there for could not help us get to or find out more details. 2. Front Desk was almost always under-manned until Monday AM, causing lines of current guests with questions and guests checking in. 3. No conceriage! (This would have helped with lines at front desk). This is a luxury resort, every other resort I have stayed at has had a 24-hr conceriage or at least a 10-12 hour conceriage. Only the pool concierge and was only on the property 1000-1800ish? The number to text was great, but talking to a real person is best. 4. Witnessed a guest with a handicapped partner needing assistance not handled with care ( i.e. only 2 people at front desk, both were busy with guests, we allowed the other guest to speak with the front desk person we were talking to about an event advertised on the resort happenings she had to google. The staff gave her brief instructions and no real assistance. My friend offered to escort the couple to the elevator instead of resort staff 😔). 5. There was always only 1 server at outdoor dining area. It's took over 45 mins for a glass of wine at lunch on Sunday during the Labor Day cook out. 6. My friend and I were given wet candy at the movie night on Friday and told we couldn't exchange them and were still charged for them. The milk duds were melted, through the box and soggy! We showed the staff and informed them there were not safe to sell and the kept the box in the shelf for other guests! The young man running the snack stand was also rude and dismissive. 7. The middle pool was dirty and the pool deck very slippery. There were also what appeared to be local young adults, who were not guests in the pools and hot tubs on Saturday night throwing balls and being obnoxious. 8. We chose to splurge and stay at Loews Coronado because if the military rate special and advertised resort happenings and offerings. Unfortunately, the main thing that made the trip worth it was spending time with my Army friend who I had not seen in over 10 years. We could have done that in military lodging for 2/3's the cost we spent at Loews!

We were going to stay downtown, but someone recommended Loew's and it was so much less expensive than the other place we checked and such a great setting. It is about 10 minutes from downtown but the shuttle runs frequently and I don't think we ever waited more than 10 minutes for it.

Terrible hotel When we checked in we had been changed to a room we did not want. It took 30 minutes for them to rebook to our original rooms. We had been driving for 3 hours and were exhausted. The room we had was meant to be a sunset suite but overlooked a car park and service area. The bathroom was stained. The toiletries were not a full set and poor quality. We called for more and it took too long to wait. The hot water took a long time to come through in the shower and we could not get the shower to be a normal temperature- it was either very hot or very cold. The room was worn and tired and not at all welcoming. The balcony was dirty. The pool area needs an upgrade with peeling paint and dirty sun beds which are uncomfortable. There was no one to help us with towels beds or umbrellas. The bar closed at 9pm and only had one server outside. The website of this hotel is great but does not reflect its current state. The photos must be very old. It was so disappointing we left 3 nights early!

Horrible rest snd relaxation place and experience. There is an outdoor cycling instructor yelling every morning, waking up people and annoying the peaceful mornings. It unbelievable to have such a disturbance in the morning. Whoever schedules this should be fired.

This was my third stay at Loews. This is a no hassle property- easy to park, shuttle to the beach, umbrella and beach chairs available on the beach for guests. Peaceful view of the bay when in hotel helps you relax away from the Coronado Village crowds. Nice pool with food and beverage service. Rooms are beautiful and clean. Hope to be back soon!
